I love the "honk" and snap of Korina. Nothing like it. Why Gibson previously reissued Explorers in mahogany is beyond me. They don't sound like Explorers, they just look like them.
Starting with the “medallion” Firebird reissue of the early/mid seventies, I was never particularly struck by the Gibson reissues either. These are much more authentic.
