This place is beautiful. And holds a very precious memory for me. My fiance proposed here in may of 2024. Im in the US so it is a happy and sad memory at the same time, all of my family is there and I miss them so very much. We are working on getting back home.
Excellent video - I cannot believe you don’t have more subscribers, although I am sure they will come in time. Beautiful photos too - really top class.
Henry, you smashed it! All three photos were awesome. I especially loved the first one, amazing colours and a composite of four photographs. Is there a way that you could show us how you put it together in post processing? Really loved this video.
sherry Davis thank you Sherry! Yeah it's definitely on my list, would love to share my post processing workflow with you guys - as I learnt a lot my self from similar videos. Thanks again for watching!
How funny - I live in Auckland and go to Piha from time to time to photograph Lion Rock. I have watched many of your videos previously and lying on the sofa this video came on as the next video and I thought I know that voice, and there you were at Piha. However, I must say I have not been as adventurous as you with my photography at Piha - awesome pics.
johnboy9106 nice one for the comment John. Means a lot to me that I may have inspired you to get out with your camera. Thanks so much for watching mate!
Well done Henry! Another cracking Vlog and location. Have been subbed for a couple of days and watched pretty much all your postings. Great shots as well mate. Keep it up.
Another great video man. And beautiful images. I saw on the first image that the sun is a bit gray, maybe a bit too much of the highlights were pulled out? But that is just my eye and perspective, by no means am I say the image was bad. I love the 4-way stitch and the detail! The reflected light in the waters of the foreground and the crashing waves.. magnificent image! All three were beautiful. Looking forward to the next one
Brett Tomadin Hey Brett, good to hear from you mate. Yeah I was actually very unsure of the sun in general in this photograph, because of it I don't think the image is 'complete'. I think that might be what happened, I also think the area around the sun is a bit noisy, unfortunately. But I have learned a lot about sun flare and shooting directly in to the sun, just from this image!
2007 my daughter and son in law took me to Piha and the Waitakere surrounds. A special place..
