Bowser making it to the top faster than Pikachu is absolutely terrifying. From being one of the slowest characters in the game in Melee and Brawl to actively competing with historical speedsters like Pikachu and Falcon is one of the biggest flow ups I've ever seen

Along with Adult Magazine's (To distract Enemies) And the Stealth Camo (As Given to him by Octacon) While Little Mac is just trained in Boxing, Weighing in at 107 Pounds, and at the Age of 17.. Including Fighting Boxers who were bigger than him and won.. Even when they cheated.. While Snake is just trained in Stealth Espionage, 15 martial arts, and is not wearing bullet proof under the suit.. And he's 27 by his design (MGS2 Time) Sorry for the 2nd reply.. What a cruel result... Some fighters got stuck on steps that others wouldn't trip over. Also, Pyra, Sora, and normal Sephiroth, etc., were able to float and ignore the steps, but they didn't have enough speed and fell down.
I don’t think tap sprinting or whatever it’s called is the best option for every character. Although it’s technically faster, I think for some of the characters it causes them to get stuck in between the blocks or stop right before the stage when they would’ve made it with one more stride.
Some characters are either getting stuck on the blocks, or you’re flicking the analog stick. Making them dash instead of running. Either way or neither, some characters should’ve gone further.
Because it's not only about speed, the steep inclination has a huge impact on this challenge. Heavier characters with longer steps don't get interfered as much as faster characters wtih faster movements, while characters who have float movement didn't get impacted at all.
????? seriously ????? you NEVER hold the stock lmfao you ALWAYS flick its not only faster but you keep from having to wait for the run stop frame before you switch directions or use another move. this is literally release day knowledge my god man no wonder why a scrub like me has a 80%+ lifetime win rate on quickplay...

That's what most people don't realize. Not only does Bowser hit hard and punishes early, but he is fast on his feet. Don't get me wrong, he's not as fast as sonic but he is able to keep up for being the heaviest character in game.
You know, I remember in the Subspace Emissary, Bowser ran super fast when he saw Ganondorf as a trophy and tried to murder the shit out of him, but I never realized that was basically his run speed.
The ones that were just barely fast enough were perhaps the most satisfying to watch. Not sure if some of them were dashing or just getting stuck on each block somehow, though. Either way, it looked kind of janky.
Yeah I noticed that what they were maybe doing was foxtrotting but because they got stuck. But then I saw ness dead stop and Kirby basically have a redo with power ups then I knew they were doing the bias thing they go through where they just force certain characters to lose.

Sonic is literally the fastest character so wind isn’t an issue and he has a stall and fall dair, so even vertical wind isn’t that much of an issue in most cases. The only challenges he’s failed at are challenges with too low of ceilings or ones based on disjoined range

A lot of characters are having trouble with this slope in general. Sheik clears it very comfortably where falcon has it on his heels, and sheik is not the faster of those two.

In Bowser's inside story, he's forced to run on a treadmill in his castle in which it's currently occupied by an asshole.
I like how for half these guys, it feels like they barley get a chance to move before they fall to their deaths.
It looked like to me some of the characters got stuck on the lower part of the ramp before the explosion got to them
