The PHENOMENAL So Hyang is NOT well here. She was not fully recovered from her latest bout with pneumonia (eight times between 2016 - 2020). Some time prior to this event, she had been released from the hospital. Her doctors advised her to cancel, to not talk, and to just rest. So Hyang did not want to disappoint the audience. Furthermore, she truly thought her singing career was over and wanted to sing one last time. After her performance, she was readmitted to the hospital. So Hyang disappeared from public singing for nearly two years. When she returned in 2020, she proved her technique is ROCK SOLID!! In 2024, her vocal range is still ridiculous, and her breath control remains insane. She sounds better than ever, if that's even possible.

Her vocal latitude was actually limited by her physical condition for this stage due to her illness We may be impressed by technical execution yet it's the emotional context of the experience that makes it memorable. I hope you will see more Sohyang for the wonderful world she brings with her unforgettable voice.

Much as you love this performance, the fact is that she shouldn’t have even been performing this at all as she was ill, she had been told by doctors not to sing as she was still recovering from her latest bout of pneumonia but keeping with sohyang’s big heart she didn’t want to disappoint the people who had come to see her. I have been a fan of Sohyang for many years & i,like many others think that Sohyang doesn’t look her best, like she’s lost weight in her face etc. as far as the performance is concerned I feel it is the least polished, which is understandable given the circumstances, but it is still amazing it’s just that she sets a very high bar but you need to see more of her performances to get a better idea of just what an absolute genius of a vocalist she is ( given what I have just told you I don’t think this was the best introduction you could’ve had to Sohyang). You should do yourself a favour & check out as much Sohyang as you can, otherwise you are going to miss out on what many regard as the greatest female vocalist on the planet. Sohyang is ‘queen’ to Dimash’s ‘king’ when it comes to vocals.
