I had given up on your compulsion, not uncommon among professionals, to attempt to give Sohyang singing lessons. I came back for this one to watch for any progress. I get it. Vocal training experts who do reaction videos feel forced to ignore any special artistic impact and to focus on the singer's technical skills. You are driven to search for the slightest failure or mistake or bad technique. But Sohyang's talent makes that virtually impossible. So, to your credit, you have relented and decided to use her skills as teaching opportunities. Voila! You see, among Sohyang's skills are; Actress (The Sound of Music), Musical Arranger and Staging/lighting Engineer (all TV & Stage performances), Vocal Instructor (teaches Music and Voice at the University). Not to mention; Composer (Dream), Author (Four Novels and a Treatise on the New Testament), Online Bible Teacher (Lectures on the Old Testament), and Motivational Speaker. I left out some stuff. You need to listen to her performance of the song Everyone. It's a 60s Christian pop song, and she has said it was the most difficult performance she's ever had to prepare for. Not only is it technically difficult and somewhat long, it's a song she really connects to on an emotional level. It is peak SoHyang. Oh, and the version she sings had an English verse mixed in with the Korean, which is cool.
I think her two collaborations with PETRA, two brilliant songs called THE STAR and FREEDOM, gospel at its very very best, which is no coincidence really because she is a lady of the Church 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

There is no best. Just what you like the most. Have you heard ALL the versions of this song? If the answer is a resounding "no" then you are not in that special position to know what is and what is not the best. For example if I say I heard someone sang this song one night at an open mic night and she was a technically good enough singer who sang this song to her terminally cancer stricken lover who had only one month to live. She poured her every iota of soul and surrendered every inch of her fragile vulnerable heart into the song that night without belting a single high money note. No projection of power just a projection of the utmost sincere expression of love, humility and devotion to the lyrics and subject matter which obviously meant something extraordinarily special to her given her precarious circumstance. And yet every single person in the audience bawled their eyes out crying like little babies. You weren't there. I was. So case in point is as I said there is no best. Just what or who you like the most. And nobody is delusional when they sincerely express what the heart likes or loves. The heart doesn't lie. The mind does!

I can't separate these two magnificent ARTISTS for one reason and one reason only, the fact that they both bring something very different to the table, you also have to bare in mind that mind that MORISSETTE is only 27yrs old while SOHYANG is 45yrs old, that being said these two are the benchmark female ARTISTS by quite a long way 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

They are BOTH the very best at what they do. Morissette to me has a much warmer tonality and Sohyhang is probably a better singer in relation to vocal technicality. Both are both without doubt two of the best female vocalists in the world today. I would also add a third to that list and that's Gigi De Lana who has both vocal warmth, technicality and a great range, can cover any style (she is known as the Queen of covers) but is more subtle than Mori or Sohyang. You should check out more of her back catalogue. Suggest "Through the Fire & Piano in The Dark" or "Fly me to the moon" to start.
I would disagree that Gigi belongs in the same category as Sohyang and Morissette. Find me a Gigi live performance on stage like Sohyang and Morissette and I’ll retract my statement. Find me a video of Gigi live stage performance that have over a million views. Majority of Gigi performances are in a controlled studio and I’m not going to go down the track of saying there’s enhancements used to improve her voice. You can come up with your own conclusions. What I would do is that Mori is best this generation and So Hyang is best from last generation 'cause So Hyang is 45 now and Mori is still in her 20s. Lame I know.
