The video reminded me of a local dairy farm on the ridge that every summer they had a White Field Boss cutting hay with a New Holland 499 center swing haybine. That was 30 years ago. Farm house is still there, barn is gone and the fields have become long driveways to large homes built by those with deep pockets from the nearest city.
Impressive to hear your attitude. Young people wanting to take over anything these days is a small miracle. This country needs more miracles and less entitlement..

Congrats man, been watching for a few years now and you are one of my favorite farming channels on youtube. Bet it won't take you nearly as long to get to 100k. Hope 2024 is good to you. edit: Also, I know you don't normally like to do shop videos that much, but if you did a video of getting that Ford 4000 sitting out back running, I would watch it twice. One with your dad telling stories too.

I like that you get deals on older stuff and fix it up and make it work and make money for you and your family. Watching guys sign bank notes for shiny new electronic crap and then whine about the money problems, or get sweetheart deals with tons of free stuff from equipment companies to be their shills just doesn't appeal to me... You're the real deal, not some wannabe joker...

Think he means the bigger stuff is tended to be used hard on a million acres and put up wet... so tends to be wore out or stuff ready to break constantly...
Course small stuff can be run hard too... it's all about using stuff right and how it was maintained... biggest issue anymore is can you get the parts to fix it...

I love seeing old farm equipment still sitting or even being ran still. Up by my area I’ve seen some old
IH tractors on a cow farm that still are being ran I believe one was a 1206 IH one of the most awesome tractors ever built in my opinion and some farmers opinions.

That's how i farm I have a few things of my own but most equipment I borrow from neighbors old equipment pile and put a few dollars into them to get them going. he likes it cause i always bring stuff back in better shape then when it left .

Even my grandpa likes your videos and he hates most other TH-camrs I whatch especially the ones with shiny equipment lol he could watch you for hours he’s a retired dairy farmer he’s 82 now but he still has the farm and wants me to take over

I find NOTHING interesting watching BTO's signing bank notes for shiny new electronic junk and then whining about prices and costs, and I don't like shills simping for equipment companies and pretending like they're successful farmers because they've got a barn full of free equipment given to them or on extended loan from equipment companies, that everybody else is paying for when they buy equipment...

Very nice... got the makings of a small dealership there LOL:) Where'd you pick up the dovetail International S series? I must've missed that somewhere along the line. I know you sold the Ford grain truck. SO this one's a DT-466 with a what, 10 speed? Looks like a good solid truck. Prefer the air brakes myself but those disks don't look terrible so long as the salt doesn't eat them.
