Watchdogs was incredible. Especially the 1v1 online hacking. That was the most thrilling online experience, I’ve ever had. Shame that people started cheating but it was incredible, while it lasted.
Watch Dogs 1 is the best... all the others fell off. Watch Dogs 2 is fun but lacks the narrative depth and tone I like (Dark and gritty like GTA IV). I don't mind light tone games but not in the same series it gives off tonal whiplash like horrofic murder scene followed by fart jokes/knock knock jokes.
I think WD2 was a really good game, the world is one of the best looking I've ever seen, the story was pretty good and characters well written, I don't think Watchdogs Legion is a perfect game but it's definitely a lot of fun to play and a worthy successor to 2. I think you have to respect the fact that it attempted something so ambitious and pulled it off pretty well, I mean thousands of NPCs in the world and each one has their own name, look, and unique character profile, to this day NO OTHER studio has ever done that. It's actually the one flaw in most of the best games that come out today. Not to mention the fact that you can take control of any one of those people. That's pretty fuckin cool. Hey I'm not a Ubisoft apologist, they get a lot of shit wrong, but i don't think they deserve the hate they get, their games are still worth playing
I am a fan assassin's creed,watchdogs, and far cry video game franchises and I do agree with you I would love to play watch dogs 4 some day and maybe the plot twist could be that Clara Lille is still alive and one of 2 main characters along with Jackson Peirce. We need a new far cry as well after the ending of far cry 6 had so much potential and I wasn't happy with it. Giancarlo Esposito and Danny trejo should be the joint main villains in future far cry games or maybe Shawnee smith and Tobin bell.assasins creed games are cool too.
Watch Dogs 1 was a great game. Underrated. Plenty of good gameplay ideas and good story. Over hyped by Ubi and marred by gamer expectations. Cut through the hype and a great game is found. Watch Dogs 2 San Francisco felt bland and boring. Lifeless. Drive from one cookie cutter mission to the next. Seemed to be forced into using drones and camera surfing always fell short. Legion has a lot of good ideas but it didn’t gel. London fell flat. Somehow missed the spirit of the city. Iconic underground completely ignored. Mission areas are even more cookie cutter. You’ll keep thinking - I’ve been here before, I’ve done that before, seen that before, heard that before. The main gimmick, multiple operatives, is nice but there’s no reason to select any one character over the next and character swapping quickly devolves into a fast travel mechanic. Instead of building on the first each successive game got less interesting, less varied, and more bland.

I still wanna see another Watch Dogs game set in a dystopian fictional Toronto. I think this would be interesting in a Canadian setting. It would for sure feel like GTA Canada. Also if Ubisoft Toronto develops it than it would be so easy since it’s there hometown and won’t need the resources to send Ubisoft tourists anywhere else. Just work straight from home and you can nail Toronto.

Watch Dogs 1 had the best story and setting, Watch Dogs 2 has the best gameplay and a solid cast of characters, and Legion try to something different with play as any NPC and recruit your own DedSec crew but letdown with a weak story and repetitive side missions. Overall I enjoy the Watch Dogs games more so than the recent AC titles.
If Embracer Gruop doesn't fix it's money issues soon, They'll not have to worry about selling Gearbox because the Whole company will be Microsoft next acquisition target.

Ubisoft chose not to commit to the social commentary they set up in the first two games. That's why Legion is about empty fascism with nothing deeper to say about anything.
What we need in a watch dogs is the gameplay of the second, the ambience/story of the first and the ideas + dystopian world of legion

Personally, the games got worse as they went along to me. I didn't even play through Legion, but played a ton of 1-2.

The only thing I remember about watchdogs was that it was at some point takeing place on the same earth as the AC franchise.
