    I’m glad someone else is with the idea that we should have all new locales in the base game.
    It’s one of the reasons why I love World and 3tri so much. It was all new environments! I think this should extend to the monsters too, I wanna see new monsters and let them take the stage!

      I've recently been replaying 3U since I accidentally deleted my 3 and 4 saves through transfer and thats where I got the feeling. 3's volcano and tundra are mad different.
      As for the monsters though, I would love to see a game introduce more new monsters but then the other half of me loves seeing returning monsters. One day my sweet Plesioth will return and I'll get one of my favorite Switch Axe designs back

    Its crazy just found your channel and watched the switch axe guide. I subbed, then this dropped right after I finished...I look forward to your growth and evolution.

    I don’t think they would give us new weapons cause the ones we have play almost every play style possible you can in monster hunter (there might be other ways to play but I can’t think of any)but I would think they can make variants system of existing ones like how the bow guns have there barrels making them into a sniper and machine guns type of weapon , like for example give the great sword a different hand one for fast combos and greater movement but less damage overall and another one that does increase damage with longer launch time and recovery. I think this would create fun way for players to try out new play styles without complicating this to much and don’t have to create new weapons

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be pretty cool to see alternatives to our usual style. I see some videos on Frontier and MHOnline, those stances are wild so you are right about that.

    Instead of 4 completely different designs I'd be fine with just swapping around the skills on offer for gunner armor. Because yeah, I'm replaying World at the moment and having HBG be the far and away best tank weapon doesn't feel great.
    As for a new weapon I would love to see an actual spear weapon, maybe like a more fast paced Lance, but regardless of how it's implemented the king of weapons deserves some love.

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed, I think having 4 armors would take so much time unless they sacrifice budget from a different section and that's not worth tbh. Spear would make me srop Switch Axe so fast!

  • @navolas2
    @navolas2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I definitely agree with the gunner armor. I liked the style of it a lot actually compared to blade master armor. Also as you pointed out with Rise it feels like some armor sets are very clearly gunner or blade master

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I found it so strange that the demo for Rise had Charge Blade in full Rakna but the set didnt match the weapon like???

    On the armor skill system im atleast hoping we get the alpha and beta system for atleast 2 layered options. Also really hope the skill bloat is reduced guard really annoys me with its stamina increases that couldve been added to 2nd and 3rd upgrade. It just makes weapons that need more core skills suffer and "resent" other weapons for their "ease of use"
    Edit: this issue kinda goes away with g rank armor slots BUT high rank still "suffers" a bit from it. Sure trade offs are good in defense and offense but i just feel like some weapons need to trade off far too much.

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its a valid request considering we'll spend upwards of a year and half or two in high rank. Gotta sacrifice wants or needs sadly

    Slight correction, MH4 actually did basically have entirely new maps. I'm pretty sure the only exceptions were the map where you fight Dah'ren Mohran and Castle Schrade. 4U did also introduce the Old Desert remake and a couple other single zone maps that returned, but that was it. Making the distinction between 4 and 4U might seem a bit pedantic, but I think it's worth noting that the only real returning map was added as part of the expansion.
    That being said, I do really agree with your point about wanting entirely new maps, it's actually part of why I like 4U so much since its maps are almost all unique both literally and from a design standpoint while providing imo enjoyable gameplay (and even the one returning map is very different, with enough elevation and details added to make it feel like the other maps, unlike Gen returners which did just have a couple ledges added here and there).

    Oh god there's a handful but there's definitely atleast 6 things I WANT in MH6:
    - Older Weapon Combat: Not OG combat, but I definitely like the combat style of MH:GU and MHW or so, a combat style where it was Me, My Weapon and the Monster. Switch-Skills I also since that felt like a new Hunter-Style from GU. For a Utility tools, I liked the Scout-Bug and the Slinger so I wouldn't mind seeing them back. However, Clutch-claw and Wirebugs I do NOT want to come back. Clutch-claw was so n so, but Wire-bug made combat in monster-hunter way less engaging, mainly because it gave us so much movement even during fights. It became less of Interacting with the Monster and fighting it.
    - Gunner Armor: I absolutely miss this. After going back to playing MH:GU and MHFZZ, seeing the same armor but with a more unique design between Blademaster and Gunner was amazing, and alot of Gunner Armor looks MUCH better than Blademaster. I definitely want this back.
    - Large Hub: Not as in size, but PLEASE bring back either MHFZZ or atleast MHW Hub-Room where we can have more than just 4 people. Having lots of people in one hub-room and actually having multiple quests posted up for people to pick and join is MUCH more engagement to the community and in the game.
    - Follower/NPC Follower: MHFZZ has a NPC Follower that YOU can customize and hire. You can give them weapons/armor to fit alongside your playstyle and actually helped you a fair amount. Rise did a great job with followers also, so please bring back followers for the Solo-Players.
    - Actual "Hunting": World made open-world GREAT with the scout-bug, and investigating and learning of monsters, minus the maps being a bit TOO big. However both Scout-Bug in the end after you finished investigating, AND Rise, had you just...Know where the monster is on teh map the MOMENT you land. This to me dampened the whole "Hunting" part of the game. Please let us "FIND" the monster, and then either let teh scout-bug cling on the monster the so we can keep hunting or, bring back Paintballs.
    - One set of Quest: Rise brought back villager/solo quest again, but in comparison to older games it was EXTREMELY easy and existed purely for story. World Single-set of Quest was more convenient, and still gave players both Story + Unlock food + Learn the game + grind for stuff. Please bring back Single-Set of quest again.

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never played Frontier unfortunately, I didnt know they had customizable buddies, that's dope. I didn't care too much for scout bugs and our owl granting constant location. I'm playing through MH3U again right now and memorizing monster spawns is funny me especially when you drop off randomly in high rank.
      For the quests though, I personally prefer village and hub to be separated. While yes, it does assist with telling a part of the story, I like that there are weaker versions of the monster designed for solo in mind while hub is a tad more drastic but that might just be conditioning tbh

      @@MahnsterHunter If you're a fan of some of the older games, you can definitely give it a try. There is a Community-Made Monster Hunter Frontier game called "Monster Hunter: Frontier Zenith Z", and it's pretty much the original with added convenience.
      I think for me it's more nostalgia speaking for me, but I guess it was more fun to actually going out and looking for the monster, and finding what monster is on the map AS I explore, sometimes giving that added surprise of "Oh god Deviljhos here..."
      The problem at teh moment with Village and Hub difference is that for both Monster Hunter GU and Monster Hunter Rise, Village quest is ridiculously easy. Not saying HUB quest is that much better either since Low Rank Quest is only like, a smidgen harder, but alot of monsters you meet in Village Quest that has this intimidating aura get's stomped on very easily and loses the build up it got. Not saying it should all be very difficult or anything like that, but I guess for me it feels more like this side-list of chores you do that's not hard to do, but also not that engaging at all. I admit, somewhat hard to explain.

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I gotta figure out how to get into that frontier, I'm so tech illiterate. And yeah, I can see how low rank village quests can feel trivial given their respective difficulty adjustment. The monsters usually have piss poor health values and minimal damage, but I feel thats in play for both new and returning players to get used to how the game officially works. I suppose that works differently for people of different skill level. I remember when I first started World, it was really easy for me. The quest to hunt Great Jagras where I hunted anything else that showed up before taking out Jagras and just kept the trend for the rest of the quests because I unga'd for mats.

    I really think a new ranged weapon would be interesting. The concept of the giant boomerang was always really fun to me. I would like to see Gunner armor return, but solely for the designs that were lost in Gen 5.

    i would love a couple of things from the 6th gen
    • slower combat, sunbreak was WAY too fast paced and hyper-aggressive and it sapped all the fun out of the endgame
    • Duramboros
    • water????
    • More members of the under-represented wyvern groups, so new snakes, spiders, maybe a new bug, etc
    • New themes for Zinogre and/or Nargacuga so absolutely divine I might forgive capcom for the murder of their themes in Rise
    • More element variety - its not ok to have another World where half of the roster is fire element and statuses like sleep only get like 3 monsters
    • some more of Frontier's GOATs coming into the main series, i want my boy Forokururu now
    • actually useful final boss gear, cause Gaismagorm was a step in the right direction but it feels like lately the final boss stuff has been utter garbage and the armor filled with random skills that don't do anything useful
    • No more Velkhana, please I beg you

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't mind the speed of combat but I know others didn't like it. If they bring in Duramboros I hope the Switch Axe stays the same. I enjoyed the changes they made to the themes in this game. Felt like it matched the local theme they were going for and the vocals just added that extra chef's kiss. Forokururu has a baller theme, I'm down for it. I also want useful final boss gear because the way they did Narwa and Ibushi was illegal!

    heres my weapon concept idea have for a bit
    #Dual Shield, you literally do a boxing match with the monster, two modes heavy blows kO raw focus, light blows low kO fast element focus, give it a guard, guard counter and guard point for a great slugging match. no gauge, meter, to upkeep simple like sns
    #Bastard Axe, a cross between axe and surge slash gs, can guard, a delayed combo finisher type move. it y y y delay b combo chomping then pulling the axe from the stuck chop. it b b b delay y combo multi swing when about to recover from swinging the axe y button do a heavy chop like hammers impact crater
    this is my personal opinion on ls, counter is to rewarding it would better to make it a guard counter.
    gut the ls spirit counter stuff and make a new weapon
    #the Honed Spirit Blade, CB length blade single gauge, two stage inner is spirit charge, outer is honed mode, Sns speed, fast sheath cancel like sacred sheath.
    it plays semi counterguard lance and longsword. y attack is mostly vertical, b is mostly multi swing sweeps. You go in get both gauge and maintain it like the older ls spirit gauge
    In sheath mode two counter option heavy counter for punish, light counter to maintain position and continue attacks.
    a charge blade without the axe form? i kinda want that, need more shield representation

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can already see the KH and Rising of the Shield Hero fashion hunters in 4K. Dual shields working like how SnS shield attacks work would be cool but it'd be cool to see tower shield weapon like Tsurugi from Under Night in Birth 2.
      Bastard Axe idea sounds like the Great Axe from the Nioh series and I don't know about fully removing the counters from long sword as it is based off of actually Japanese swordsman style of Iaido but I agree with the too rewarding aspect. Honestly the Iframes and timing could be taken down a notch and add other attacks that could compete reasonably so people arent forced to play that particular way only. So having a spirit blade weapon be reliant on entirely guard type counters would have to be safely managed to prevent a similar case of LS's issues.

    • @zakwancu3
      @zakwancu3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MahnsterHunter my issue with dodge based counter makes you ignore the monsters attack than engage with it. It make weapon with shield obselete, unfavorable, i trade health and stamina for an advantage while ls can ignore and punish it. I can play cb and lance ok ish not pro, rise sunbreak ls counter move have small downside. Im saying that using guardpoint is to limit the higher skill players ability through game mechanic for overall monsters difficulty balance. tools needs to have limitation it makes players more creative when approaching the monster.

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Long Sword is the most egregious since other weapons have drawbacks like my fav the switch axe. Elemental Burst Counter gets some s at start anf the rest is knockback res which can get you killed. I think the only shielded weapon with pure guard where no stamina or chip damage can happen is Lance with insta guard

    • @zakwancu3
      @zakwancu3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MahnsterHunter i personally dont agree having unconditional invincibility as a mechanic for free let alone able to be combo, my worry is the devs tries to one up the player with multihits, multihits aoe, strings of follow up attack, darksouls tracking, world kushala syndrome.

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The monsters were poised to have those in their kits because we have the wirebugs in ours. Its like a lot of monsters have follow ups after moves that you'd use wirefall for or double hits like F. Espinas explosion. I dont know what they were doing when they gave Long Sword 5 dofferent ways to say no to everything

      I think the problem is that the lance and insect glave exists and that might be to close to a spear weapon

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know cuz to me, the lance is thrusts and sweeps while the glaive is unique in its style of polearm combat. They could definitely make a spear modelled after Japan's sojutsu style like how Long Sword is modelled after Iaido

    • @phailupe2941
      @phailupe2941 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kindahungry8505 while the lances are close to spears, the ultimately differ in many many ways. The most obvious one is construction. A lance is constructed of a long tapering point off a a shorter handle, while a spear is made of a single sharp point at the end of a pole. The insect glaive is just that, a glaive. Spears can use many different styles of attack, from having a spear and shield and executing phalanx maneuvering to using sojustu. They almost always, however, are pretty fast to attack.

    I would like them to get rid of the gimmicks, like the clutch call, wirebugs, the spiribirds and worlds alatreon and fatalis battles. 🤷‍♂Honestly if they just remastered MH3u and gave it the mobility and attention you felt in world it would be sick.

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not particularly against gimmicks so long as the execution is done well. I understand they do it to shake things up but atp, its a double edged sword. Almost like with Pokemon or CoD. They make the same type of game with same features, people will call it lazy. They make gimmicks like exosuits, dyanamax, and wirebugs, then people want classic.

    • @Mik-Six
      @Mik-Six ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They could do a refresh by upgrading the environment and having a more in depth story though. That would be a huge shake up to monster hunter. As for the gimmicks, i don't think clutch claw and wirebugs were all that bad but spiribirds were obnoxious. Not to mention the gimicks for the alatreon/fatalis fight were poorly executed as well as unnecessary. There was legit no benefit to doing either of those in MP because the average player didn't understand what needed to happen.@@MahnsterHunter

    • @MahnsterHunter
      @MahnsterHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol yo if they actually make a good story for Monsrer Hunter I will be thoroughly surprised. And I wasnt too big a fan of spiribirds on release because I understand it "rewards exploration" but the impact they had wasnt too significant. The time it took to gather them versus just running straight to the monster was big oofs. As for Alatreon and Fatalis, I liked Fatalis' as a spectacle but didnt appreciate the "its hard cuz it do the big damage" approach. Alatreon I felt didnt need to have the whole escaton damage check mechanic. The game doesnt properly teach people the systems and how they work so the newer player base that came in were upset cuz they couldnt use their tried and true blast weapon. Which, yeah, I think they should be able to. Locked into playing a forced role isnt healthy like with Behemoth. That whole game felt too MMO like
