Wouldn't work, putting the differential slider all the way to 100% each side doesn't make them fully 2WD, only approx. 80% bias. So if you put the slider 100% to the front the car would become 80F/20R AWD, not FWD.

I've been wanting to watch something like this for a bit now, but what I had in mind was a team adventure using high end cars on complete or near complete dirt circuits, but this more impromptu style (i guess?) was fun to watch as well, especially on snow.
Not surprised by how well the Ariel Atom did, the thing is quite good fun to drive when on rally tires as well as being fantastic car for dirt speed zones.
I'd love to see ridiculous cars actually specced out for rally. Give us some S2 madness with proper suspension, proper tires, and WAY too much horse power!
Looks to me like the Lego Ferrari won that, because in that freeze frame, they are essentially neck and neck, yet the Ferrari was going faster, so as they touched the water, I would have thought the Ferrari would have edged ahead to win by a hair.
From what I saw, it was the edges of the road that needed to be avoided, that's where all the killer bumps were. And anyone who started there or drifted that way seemed to suffer for it. Though I don't think anyone's experiences with the bumps could match Alex's impromptu skip through the water. xD

Nah, debatable. I'd consider it a toy for club days and closed off parking lots. Even if we consider it a track car it's fine, as there were the MC12 Corsa, F40 and Mosler too. They're all purpose-built track cars (just the Mosler being street legal version for homologation purposes).

i loved to see this one, it was pretty much fun watching the beasts struggle for grip.
Knew a guy who had a Mosler in the US. Absolutely gorgeous car. Kinda wished I had payed a little more attention when I was able to be near it.
