Paul Heyman is a mastermind when it comes to Pro Wrestling.
When I was watching with my dad, I explained to him that little bald guy scared all the time is actually everybody's boss and mentor. All these people owe him so much, while they're also making him look scared. His entire essence is invested in wrestling.
ECW deserves a TV show where actors play these wrestlers because their stories individually are amazing. gives context to the kids who never heard or seen ECW

It would be like the movie 'The Replacements'. A bunch of outcasts that were over looked because of their flaws. But Gene Hackman saw the strengths of them and got it to work!

Oh please there are so many more than just mick, Steve, and cm punk. Paul Heyman drove mark Calloway to his interview for wwe. Then imagine the how much the undertaker had done. Shit trickles down. There’s so many things that wouldn’t be the same without Paul.

Well deserved always been a fan of Paul Heyman
Rey Mysterio does not become the greatest luchador in history if it were not for Paul Heyman giving him his first big break.
WCW wouldve probably never brought in Rey without him being in ECW and the rest of the luchadors. Without the luchadors having appeared in America WCW might've never had the idea to create the Cruiserweight division.
Bubba is a true example of passion exceeding talent.

Heyman has contributed so much to the business in the 40 years he's been apart of it. Being a photographer at the garden from the age of 14 to becoming a manager in WCW to starting his own promotion with ECW from the ground up. And even tho it never reached great heights it was still such a unique thing at the time that a section of fans gravitated to and look back on still fondly today and he created a few stars in the business from that company. Some people say he's a genius some say he's a shyster and a carny but he definitely deserves the spot in the hall of fame on just his character work alone being one of the greatest talkers and managers of all time.
Paul Hayman inducted into the Hall of Fame well deserved and his voice will forever be synonymous congratulations Paul.👍

Rob did not come in WWE recognized as an original ECW guy until it was closed in 2001 minus 97 appearance on Raw before signing with WWE in 2001.

Watching ECW on channel 48 in the Philly area, smoking pot and drinking beer in my friends basement, thinking these guys are really hitting each other and having realistic, edgy promos. Guys are coming out to real songs. Great times. ECW was the Attitude Era before it even started. It was cool to watch ECW.

@@joer9323 Dudley Boyz are also. There isn't any other obvious ECW guys that aren't working for competitors that make sense to put in the HOF. WWE isn't going to induct Taz while he's an AEW announcer. I just don't see them putting in Tommy Dreamer or Raven either.
That's what every place ECW went was. Ft. Lauderdale war memorial was awesome! I remember Bubba mushing my buddies head, and this was when he was fighting New Jack through the crowd.
As. Lifelong ECW fan, was going from 95, 3 PPVs, Philly, Lauderdale and Orleans.The music, the dinner before the Philly PPV.We met so many Originals. We felt the family and connections. I truly miss those times and we still talk about. I love these talks. We will never forget you all and ECW.
Family is for life. Whether good bad or indifferent family is forever. I wonder if Bully Ray still considers all those guys in ECW his family today.
One of my fondest memories of ECW was always going to the Holiday Inn afterwards to the bar and getting hammered with a few of the (unnamed wrestlers) people who were at the event

Paul Heyman truly deserves his spot in the Hall of Fame. So does ECW Originals; Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Sandman, Sabu, Tazz, Shan Douglas, and Francine. ECW was Attitude before Attitude Era. ECW 4 Lyfe...ECW...ECW...ECW...ECW

The Brain was fantastic and so is Paul, he is truly a gift.
You can't forget corny , generationally I believe it went Bobby to Jim to Paul and we haven't had anyone else step up.
Paul to me is on a different level for me I’d rank them well doesn’t really matter I just appreciate them so much for their attributes. Man the brain on commentary was just heavenly. To live to see all three in their prime what a gift. Corny is great with him and Brian.
@@robbie1977ful oh yeah I couldn't rank them In terms of time. In the 70s you got prime bobby, in the 80s you get prime jimmy and 90s you get prime paul. No one has came after and all three not only did good in their primes they respectfully where great as they got older and wiser .
He's better than Bobby ever was. Nobody liked Bobby back in the day and if you say you did then you'd be lying through your teeth.
You can see and feel the emotion, respect and love for Paul Heyman just oozing out of Bubba. I love this!!!!
ECW was and will forever be my favorite wrestling show i ever watched. Caught it 1 night as a young kid (7-10) and i was hooked. RIP ECW

Brock Lesnar or Tommy dreamer should be the ones to induct Heyman into the WWE Hall of Fame. Dreamer was ECW, like Heyman and Brock Lesnar because Paul was his over 20 year manager.
Lesnar would be a very good choice if it wasn't for recent occurences. Lesnar isn't appearing on WWE TV until after the entirety of the Vince scandal ends and with the way the legal system works that's going to be a few years.
Besides Eddie Guerrero and a few others no one else besides Paul heyman really deserves this. Hes the greatest of all time. He started taking pictures of the art we all loved and today we take pictures of his art with others fans love. Paul for the last 30 years has changed wrestling. He has managed the best. The aliance was all about paul and without him it all would suck.

There was a special time in the 90's, living in CT, at 1:00am Sunday night/Monday morning on MSG channel 41 on cable, ECW Hardcore Wrestling!
Fortunate to have attended original ecw at the arena. Nothing but fond memories watching ecw on the local channels
CM punk was in ECW way before he was in WWE. I remember going to Queens and seeing CM punk wrestle at a ECW event.

Paul Heyman’s contribution as a booker, as a promoter, as a writer, and as a talent is unmeasurable. While he helped so many wrestlers, for me, the biggest one he helped was The Undertaker. Without Heyman, there is no Undertaker.
Paul has said ECW should have its own wing in the Hall of Fame.

I couldnt watch ecw and around that time the internet wasnt what it is now.I still heard about ECW and this guy named sabu taping up his bicep during a bared wire match insane at the time hearing that.
I always saw ECW like the Gunge movement while WWE and WCW where the hair bands.
One thing wrong there Bubba, Punk wasn’t a Heyman guy before Lesnar. Even if you take into account him helping him in 05/06, Lesnar was with Heyman way before. Shit even Big Show was with him before Punk

@Busted Open Podcast I have to agree with Tommy being "the guy" to induct Paul into the HOF. Now speaking as a standpoint of being personal, I would say Steve Austin, Undertaker, Punk. But in the backdrop, and someone in Philly, and was in the foxhole with Paul was Tommy. We really never heard stories between Tommy and Paul, but there was a lot of respect, and love like a father and son bond between the two, and Tommy has learned a lot from Paul in a pure wrestling booking standpoint, and a business standpoint as well. Like you both David, and Bully Ray is that once Paul comes out, and that Philly crowd will erupt into the loudest ECW chant for Paul, that might rival some in the Arena (if you can fit 75,000 of your closest ECW fans in the Arena lol.) Being a fan of ECW at that time, and still have the fond memories, and helped me get into the pro wrestling business for a short time. I can look back and say that not only Paul was an influence to many people in wrestling, and maybe dare I say walk of life. Now let's just throw out ECW all together, would he still be top 5 managers of all time. Absolutely, I put him 2nd on my Mount Rushmore of managers, and that said alot. The way he made you laugh, cry, mad, jump up and down with excitement. Paul just did that, and with the talent that was with him, and how he made all the talent with worked with, and around him feel more cofident, and being the "best in the world" (that word just thrown around too much.) But for Paul I have to say that he is truly "best in the world." As a booker, owner (okay ECW is died but the spirit lives on) manager, advicit. Paul is the best.

Fatu worked with Paul in WCW, hase that long time history with the Anoai Family, and considering his current role as the "Wiseman" for the Bloodline, I would say that Rikishi would be a great person to do the induction.
Man i miss ECW everyday i wonder what ECW would be like if it was still around. I was so lucky to be at the ECW shows live man what an experience it was it was like a rock show it was so fun us fans was wild. I was there for a lot of the big moments in ECW what a time it was to be alive also Sandman entrance was the best for me along with Bully being a savage to the crowd or the moment sandman was caning the shit out of Tommy Dreamer#ECW4Life Shout out to Paul Heyman he deserves this i hope it is Punk who inducts him

I would make Paul Heyman the only inductee this year, and allow each of The Undertaker, CM Punk, Tommy Dreamer and Stone Cold Steve Austin to give their own induction speeches and then, at the top of the second hour, Paul Heyman comes out and you let him go as long as he wants.

Heyman is just as important as Vince McMahon in making wrestling what it is today. The Attitude era was in ECW way before the WWF

Mad respect to Bubba......but Taz wasnt the first to be challenging other companies champions....Lawler was doing it in 1988 with the CWA / AWA World Title, challenging Savage / Flair / etc calling them company champions.
That being said....no Paul Heyman......no real ECW......no Attitude Era......no NWO............he fundamentally transformed pro wrestling so it could turn into the juggernaut it is today.......a lot of times those that initiate and cause the change dont reap the most benefits from it......but Paul has endured and become a LEGEND. That word is used a lot, but it fits Paul Heyman in pro wrestling history. L E G E N D.
can't really argue that. ECW revolutionized wrestling, for good or bad. I remember stumbling across ECW on some local sports channel at like 2am and I was absolutely blown away, especially when you compared it to the cartoonishness of WWF and WCW at the time.
I do wonder, let's say there was never an ECW, and Heyman just remained a manager. How would he have been seen? He had a great run with the Original Midnights, then the Dangerous Alliance. Wonder if he would have stuck around and been the main heel manager in WCW, or if he would have eventually found his way to the WWF
@@mooseheadjack1 No, he was suing WCW for some stuff, so I doubt he hangs around there. Watts killed off the Dangerous Alliance angle. If he stays a manager, he probably hits the indies again and maybe shows up in WWF someday. He doesnt become the legend he is today.
Facts!!! BUBBA SCSA is the guy. Paulie Danger gave him his voice and if you want to tie that into the WM 40 storyline the WWE can. "No one in that locker room can stop the BLOODLINE!"
Steve is a great choice, with the criteria Bully posed. Except for one little thing: if you want someone to give that speech, to really tug at the heart strings of the viewers….there is no public speaker better than CM Punk.
And then take into consideration the fact that Paul is ALWAYS running an angle, he’s never not in character…..Punk taking Paul from Roman after wrestlemania (with Cody saying he’s gonna take everything from Roman, and Cody and punk being friends)…..what a way to cement Paul as the guy who’s ALWAYS selling. Always playing something up his sleeve for the business

CM Punk does make the most sense as being the guy to induct Heyman. Since its a way to get Punk on TV while he's recovering.
Mick Foley and Stone Cold Steve Austin could be good choices also. They're not under contract with WWE anymore except for maybe a Legends deal but they're still kind of "in house" also.

RVD is also a good possibility for Paul but The Dudley’s could be a solid option as well. I’d personally like Tommy Dreamer myself too.
RVD would be the most entertaining choice. He's not very sentimental, but he's funny as hell and pretty thoughtful, too.
