When I played ark I found the tapajara is useful for one thing, taming a quetzal. Takin a quetzal can be tough but if u get a slow and low level tapjara it can be used to tame a quetzal. By setting the tapajara to attack the quetzal and filling its inventory to match the speed of the quetzal you can safely tame a quetzal in about 5 min.
Edit - the tapajara is only good on the island since there are no other flyable tames that you can shoot on the back from besides the quetzal.
That’s a good idea! I’ve always taken any flyer jump off with a parachute then net gun it & trap it after.
Indeed, but you see, ark mobile players are different, They tame a low lvl pteranodon, whistle attack, grapple to the ptera and basically just tranq it. Cuz why the hell tame another dino for just 1 purpose eh?
I find grappling onto an argy is easier as there is less obstruction

In the future, use the metal bulletin boards for trapping off the back of your dinos! Or set down 3 but the two outer ones flange out slightly, to kinda funnel the dino in and use a giant bear trap, then add the last board to close it off. You can trap off the back of the dino or lead a dino in on foot that way!
It works great for all medium to large dinos! I've used it for all things like maewings (ASE) to Rex's or theris.

4:15 tip, tame a moschops, and kill some bugs/trilobites and harvest them for an INSANE amount of chitin

1:22:48 Common mistake😊, don’t approach from directly behind the hyenadon. The tail is a part of its hitbox- so when it wags as you pet it, you’ll hit its hitbox and startle it. I’ve had the most success in coming at it from the side, but be careful to stay out of its face!
There’s around 90+ of them at my base, and I’m currently breeding for color mutations. Because ark is my cozygame and I’ll die on this hill.

You can switch to the back passenger seat mid air in the rhyniognatha and it’ll regain stamina

Also use shields for troodon taming.
Don't need to kill fenrisulfr for a tame this time, but loot is definitely addictive on ASA, more so than on gen2 I feel 😂

When i first started my world i found a unicorn with a baby so i just killed the adult and took the baby and it was like my 7th tame
In ascended titanosaurus can spawn up to 6 times but depends on which map you are
Mod maps excluded of course
The center 4 Titanosaurus
Island 6 titans
Scorched earth 2-3 titanosaurus (1 female 2 male or 2 females)
Mod mapes they can spawn only once i think but i'm not sure about the mod maps

This is late, but to tame the titan you can build a tiny platform on the front of the quetz to put the cannon on. No aiming it needed, because you will just be flying up to its head with the quetz, as soon as you dismount you will be at the cannon and can just instantly shoot. It’s a lot easier lol, I was waiting for you to just move the cannon 🤣 But persistence with the rocket launcher worked anyways

Great video!! Were you able to figure out the setting regarding the imprinting? Also, (I apologize, I’m new to ARK) does your difficulty mode change what level dinos you see around the map? I picked medium to start, but the highest I’ve seen is lvl37, and it’s making finding good Tames difficult. Thank you in advance!! ❤
I guess you have to go into the steam files and change it that way but not quite sure how to exactly. And I do believe yes higher difficulty gives higher level dinos! no worries, welcome!

you can tame them passive or knockout!

I dont believe it was available when I did this. It was just shortly after ASA launched. If it was I didnt see it and forgot to install it

put a foundation, then a hatchframe off it then walls two high and drop it in crouch under it and pet every 30 seconds
