LETS RUN THROUGH What i missed while out of class your a third party entity you share a building with a thrift store on the same block as PIZZA PATRON greasing things up for the autoMOTIVE department next to that a DENT IST A BRIDE DENT with DRY sockets running so hot the grass is FRIED MIGHT as well been a damn CHURCHES but if i need a REAL RUSH i can HOP across the street to the STRIP BAR CAR LOT with the IN FRINGEMINT ALERT IF they aint stripping BIC EZ THEY STRIPPING TVS? LAMPS? no they gladly throw those away a very large TV with an auto MOTIVE DEPART MENT that LIGHTS THE WAY for swivel RTTs PARTS and lamp cords stripped to the COPPER WIRE i was in welding asked multiple people "they dont do that here" me being at haven traveling to the south side every morning was not a challenge but sitting in a class stressed that i missed the first day then testing over an entire chapter PUT ME TO SLEEP SO i tell them im pregnant i didnt want them to not let me in because of that reason CREATING A STRONGER BABY A STRONGER AMERICAN WASNT ON THEIR MINDS IT WAS my BEHAVIOR using HAVEN as a copout as an excuse knowing that fafsa grants pell funding for people whom want to continue thier education and work they used this to their advantage they CHARGED JUST ENOUGH TO TAKE THE FAFSA AND GET A LOAN this is the second school i encountered TULSA welding in HOUSTON (234 greens )has me signing a master prommissory note LAST SEPTEMBER NOT PREGNANT yet i ALSO DID NOT GET TO GO TO THAT SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WAS INAPPROPRIATE WANNA SEE BACK LOGS OF IN PRO RATE? PI RATED? One a day helps you to sustain energy and get your protein and vitamins in no matter what meals you are eating. I like the milk chocolate. Chill and consume. Also, if you use your EBT to have groceries delivered through Amazon Fresh, they waive the driver tip amount and exclude or lower the delivery fee. I used it all during the Covid pandemic lockdown.
farmers markets are the best.... some FM will match the amount you take out ie: if you take out $50 for produce, some farmers market will match it which makes thats $100 for produce! also in LA county you can show your ebt card to enter many museums, parks, etc.
In order to get stuff like that with gov assistance programs;check if you can get an FSA card or an HSA card that might be available with one of those subsidies that are out there!!Other than that you are going to have to borrow from somebody you know or get a better job or both!!

Some ppl dont have actual dollars to pay for Easter Items so Guess kids would not get one if they didnt have these out there and wouldnt that be sad and make them feel different when they dont have a little something for Easter.... Getting Prime at 6.99 per mo. is a bit too tempting. I can't afford much beyond the necessities unless it's on sale and can be used enough to justify the cost. Dollar Tree non food "fun" purchases are limited to five or six dollars per week. Good to know, though. I'll pass this info on to the constituent assistance staff at my alderperson's office to put into their database of knowledge. Oh, and Lifeline/ACP are excellent programs. Nobody should have to go without cell and internet service in 2023.
For places such as wawa, equivalents may be Rutgers sheetz, 7/11.. basically your 24/7 convenient stores.... Most will allow prepared foods such as cold hoagies, but not hot foods, however one can simple ask if they'll warm it for you... That's a hit or miss depending on employee and if it's busy say rush hour 😉
Tops Grocery Store is the only Grocery Store I know of that does not allow you to buy cold subs with EBT. They say that they cannot sell cold subs on EBT. They actually have signs up that state that they will not sell cold subs with EBT. Basically I thought that all grocery stores follow the same rules. Maybe someone should go and train them on the uses of EBT.
I live in Arkansas and since I originally got my snap benefit in 2019 my benefits keep going down! I’m raising my grandson and in 2021 my benefit went down twice. Then I got my social security disability raised by 30.00 for 2022 and food stamps went down 90.00 !? Go figure! Every time I ask someone about it, they say it’s a formula in the computer and they have nothing to do with it 😞 cost of living has sky rocketed and my income is ridiculously low! I don’t understand!?😢
It's because of the COLA increases each year. Cost of living increases so it automatically decreased the amount of SNAP benefits you receive since you get more in Disability.
@@AllBrightColorshave lived in several subsidized apartments over the years. Some have small porches, but do not catch the sun enough to grow veggies. The one place I am at now, was thrilled to have a front porch. My most recent place, grew some marjoram seeds that came my way, and catnip my first year in to see how they will grow in this climate. My psychotic addicted neighbor ruined them by overwatering and clipping. She is finally gone. Am in the process of growing two organic sweet potatoes, from slips. One is doing fairly well. Need to put in larger pots. Anything over 20 inch pot is a lease violation from the porch police. Might have to break the rules by a few inches. Think with that neighbor finally gone, will try again next year. Community plots, if available in an area, run about $40 plot. Sure wish some of these churches can legally be allowed to donate portions of their lawns for community gardens.
Im a vegetarian who had just been approved. Would you know if the frozen plant-based meat products are eligible? Trying to find resources online but it's a bit difficult. If not, no worries, I'll keep my searched goin!

I can get prepared sushi at grocery stores in the New Orleans area. I don't recommend it as it's expensive. There're better options when trying to make your SNAP benefits last until the next time it's reloaded. Still, it's WAY cheaper than going to a sushi bar/restaurant. I'd consider it a rare treat that's healthier than a lot of snacks IMO.
🌀 The DCF/EBT website in Florida shows a message indicating that benefits will increase by only 6% in October. Why doesn't it show a 25% increase as stated in the news media? I would really appreciate it if you could explain this difference in the increase. I imagine others in Florida are wondering the same thing. Thanks...🥝
I believe the increase is supposed to be $61 but don’t quote me; I was just discussing this with my boyfriend if he still is?🤣 They cut him from 192$ down to $19 and the guy told him because he pays taxes on his SSDI and we live in FL and we don’t pay taxes and I’m shocked when I learned that there are 13 or 17 States that actually take taxes out of retired SS taxes for state and federal taxes-“That Blew my Mind”! In fact, you couldn't support a Chihuahua on the amount they give a single person! Anyway, since Social Security is getting an increase, HUD will get 30% of that, and the Food Stamps will decrease. The government gives with one hand, & takes away with the other! Hoping beyond hope for another Stimulus Check to get caught up on bills. I've had to use credit cards to buy food several times lately. We all could use a break. Sure wish DUH-santis would consider some help for Floridians! 💸

Yes! Edible producing fruit vegetables & herb, plants. Only in grocery shopping not your garden section of day Lowe's and home depot, or garden stores that typically sell non edible plants
My organic sweet potatos, were purchased EBT. Had to work on producing the slips. Hoping they produce enough leafs, am told they make great nutritious consumption. The organic potting soil I had to purchase, along with planters were not cheap. Am hoping my gardening budget next year will allow for an easy to work with composter. So, I can recycle my soil and vegetable scraps. More money I hope to squeeze out of my pockets, that I hope I will get ,y money's worth out of. More skills to learn, such as figuring out how to keep insects off my vegetable plants. Each local EBT office should hand out free, a few planters, packets of seeds, potting soil. But not all EBT have places they can easily grow foods. The EBT office should hand out food preservation supplies. Some people can can. Others like me, a 'no', but it is more economical and healthier produce I can purchase at the peak of harvest season. Am still experimenting. Fruits are too sticky and not much success, so will stick to freezing off for smoothies. Bagged produce has that recommended step for preferred blanching, already done for my tiny kitchen. Dig deep into my pockets, spent a lot of time on the internet, researching, products and tips. Am happy with much of my dehydrating. Most veggies end up getting powdered and added to salads, soups, stocks and ramen. My food experience today is with watermelon rinds to powder. Want to try and add to fruit juice smoothies. Am skipping the Depression Era sugared watermelon and citrus rind recipes for kids candies.
Can I apply still for cash back assistance if I don’t have kids and not a single mother? I still need feminine products, hygiene products, toilet paper, etc which isn’t covered on my food stamps, how I go about getting cash back at the atm or can I sign up stuff if I’m not a mother,?
When you fill out the application you can apply for money and health insurance and food stamp even if you don't have children and it goes according to your income see if your qualify
I did my application online and then the Department of Social Services completed the application by telephone. In any event call the Department of Social Services and complete Your application over the telephone...
Bought kinder eggs for my kids at walmart was surprised that food stamps can them so I have bought them at walmart, safeway and cvs pharmacy but just last night at elk grove walmart in sacramento california they said no you can not buy non-food items with food stamps if I just did on 3/26/22 that was a Saturday so by 3/30/22 Wednesday it changed what's the difference from Saturday to Wednesday so I went to safeway to check if anything had changed and no was able to buy the kinder eggs with food stamps with no problem
Kinder eggs are a waste of money, especially since at the stores, foodstamps monies are recognized as the equivalent of a dollar bill. My kid now aged 40, remembers when on foodstamps and a bus system we relief on a lot. No junk or non-nutritious foods to be purchased with the paper foodstamps. Told her that was hard earned taxpayers money and most don't qualify, lived life on both sides. We had an obligation to eat healthy, and not put the taxpayers paying for poor health choices twice at the doctor's office. Rarely, I needed to stop at the store on long buses. Didn't want to deal with messy fruit. Back then, some nutrition bars did not qualify for foodstamps, yet candy and chips did qualify, had to just in, ' give in purchase a few candy bars until we got home so her hands were clean on the bus and she was not with a growling stomach. She has toddlers to teens now, her hubby makes good money, came from a wealthy family that never taught him how to budget. Was impressed with my daughter straight out of highschool math and budgeting skills. Until then, he thought people on welfare were stupid. Of course, I have stood in long lines, glancing at their shopping baskets with all kinds of too many products of unhealthy food choices,. Sometimes her family does go on a bit of junk food binges, usually busy schedules, but they are all happier once their mom gets back on track with healthier food choices that each of her family seems to enjoy. Also, I have had to scrimp and save. Enjoy using my gifted used blender, crockpot and rice cooker. Am using the rice cooker for boiled eggs. Scrimped and saved with the purchasing extra produce, and to freeze some off. Learned to make stock. Grocery rotisserie and fried chicken are cost effective, as I freeze the bones off for a crockpot stock. Extra produce on sale such as tomatoes, I buy extra. Bits and pieces are the extra, I can cut up to add to a can of soup or stock. My apartment freezer small and I am slowly running out of food management space. Scrimped and splurged a few months ago. Am still on a learning curve, but ending up to be satisfied at the sight of foods, includes dehydrated carrots, celery which I store in baby food and spice jars. Not appealing to the eyes, once dehydrated and powdered. A, mostly adding to salads, soups, stocks and salads. Lots to learn, includes brining vegetables, am not into canning. So much work to learn, scrimp and save. Will never get rich off of these food management techniques, but lots of effort not to waste. Recently purchased a food saver, but only for some longer term use items. Will stick with baggies for the fridge and a short freeze off. Am having limited success, maybe it's a new brand of baggies I need. And cucumbers and watermelons are not suggested for foodsaver longer term freezing. Sure wish they would increase my foodstamps so I can stretch my budget a bit farther when I need cash to purchase some of the produce, cheeses, butters, all I can get a bit cheaper if on sale.
I used my card for the very first time. I bought eggs, ice cream and two bottles of an energy drink. It came to $11.10 but would only pay the $11. I had to pay the extra 10 cents. I don’t care about the 10 cents but curious why?
I believe it depends on what your State permits in that program. Minor details like that differ from State to State. I know here in GA, you can buy seasonings with your SNAP benefits. But, there was another State trying to rule against that not too long ago. I think it was Idaho.
Hello, I have a question. I do the weekly supermarket haul for an older lady that lives near my house because she has mobility issues. She has the Texas lone star card which is a EBT food card. My question is, everything I pay the machine asks me if it’s an EBT transaction or if I want the cash benefit. I have asked the owner of the card but neither of us know what this option is. Can anyone explain please and thank you!
@aquafer Hi I see that your post was 5months ago but I'm not sure if I understand your question. You could call the store & pose your question to someone at the service desk or wait until you go on a grocery run again for your neighbor and ask at the service desk in person. I've found that some cashiers don't have the answers for some questions involving Snap or cash funds. What a blessing you are for your neighbor and you are being blessed in return!
Do not use someone else's card unless they have placed your name on the app, at any given time, to authorize you as a ebt user. Can be considered theft. My daughter is an authorized user. Simple to add her name.
Albertsons about one of these stores in my town. Much healthier and better when I go to the cold juice section. Rarely, I will purchase tea. Usually, it's a larger container of lemonade or other juices on sale. This is my on the go should I be with on outing or shoppings with her and the grandkids. About the same price as a 2 liter of soda. Healthier. Once I get home, I will add water as I go along drinking it. Cuts down on sugars and calories. There is a Starbucks, but none of their drinks meets either my cash or EBT food stamp budgets. Long lines and the drinks are not pure fruit, lots of overpriced chemical flavourings.
You mentioned Easter basket. Which i assume has toys With Candy. But I went to buy 2 mugs with hot chocolate inside at Walmart and it did not go threw. So I wonder why?.
Foodstamps does not pay for the mugs, or the food product has not had the company go through the government process of accepting foodstamps from the cashier's computer.
@@justmejenny7986this is what I taught my daughter from a young age. Why make unhealthy choices that will end up costing hardworking taxpayers more for the hospital? Plenty of charities around the holidays will help out with the candies and baskets. Get creative with the kids, make dyed eggs or purchase different nutrition bars for the baskets. Make cookies, cakes from boxed mixes. Cheaper and makes lasting memories. My daughter now she 40, married well. Toddlers to teens. Sometimes they explore with junk food, usually when schedules get hectic. They are always happy when their mom, gets them back on track with healthier food. My daughter thanks me for the rule that the paperwork foodstamps come from hardworking taxpayers like me to a point when I worked since she 15 sometimes two and three jobs, without a car and still when I started having babies, did not qualify for foodstamps. My daughter and I sometimes make comments on different foods, uses and prices. Sometimes we remark on older family members either good or poor eaters, what they passed away from. Sometimes we take a moment of pride, reflecting on all of our financial struggling includes also eating healthy, how much on target and sometimes years younger than our peers, that we look. The goal was no foodstamps on junk or unhealthy food unless it came as a celebration out of a college school grant or in-between temp jobs paychecks. Rarely, I have had off travel days in-between long buses, that the stores offered usually messy fruit, so I treated her to candy bars in wrappers. Chips too messy for hands on and off the bus. One summer so hot, that I allowed her a soda and ice cream. Had to time it between buses for her growling stomach and had to be quick. Did I since because that 'cost; too much and ate into the foodstamp budget more. Not sure if a gallon of ice cream qualified as junk food, but purchased that and yogurts for the hot summers and not much of a decent cooling system. My daughter sometimes thanks me for teaching her to choose healthy as possible food options, which also stretched the foodstamp dollar budgets.
How are energy drinks a necessity? I was behind someone yesterday in an expensive CONVENIENCE store getting 2 Lance meat and cheese snacks, 2 Jubba bubba chewing gum packs and 2 Otis spunkmeyer cookies. How are these necessities? This person was dressed in fine clothes and got into an SUV better than what I drive. WTF?!? What happened to incentivizing people to get better jobs to get off assistance? Our system is creating a generation of dependents.
I certainly wouldnt buy energy drinks or cookies because I think sugar is bad for you. IDK what Lance meat is, if its meat, then that is an essential. cheese snacks? High protein, fills you up, great to put in kids lunch boxes. Gum, if you have gut problems chewing on gum actually produces good bacteria and relieves you of issues, also some people quit chewing tobacco this way. Maybe the SUV was a rental, had an Uber driver pick me up in a Tesla, could not stress enough it was not his. Fine clothes? You can find nice clothes at thrift shops, maybe they were old clothes but the person kept them nice, thats what they did in the 1940's, they would have fine clothes, but they'd keep them nice, not a lot of clothes but the ones they did have were nice. You never know somebody's situation, so theres a few scenerios for you to think of
C'mon, we know it wasn't. It was in a convenience store, buying convenience food with taxpayer money. #1 EBT purchase is SODA POP. There's no way that is a necessity. @@Kelly-nd3cz I’m sorry I don’t, I can’t even see my comment so the context is out of date for me. Although base off your comment I would say check with your local laws on what is and isn’t available. For some places snap or EBT is available for hot food for homeless and elderly people but I don’t know why state your in. A sub sandwich is cold so it should fly but again it depends on the places who accept EBT/SNAP as well. Just because you can’t be a good of sorts does not mean you can use that card anywhere.

farmers markets are the best.... some FM will match the amount you take out ie: if you take out $50 for produce, some farmers market will match it which makes thats $100 for produce! also in LA county you can show your ebt card to enter many museums, parks, etc.

Getting Prime at 6.99 per mo. is a bit too tempting. I can't afford much beyond the necessities unless it's on sale and can be used enough to justify the cost. Dollar Tree non food "fun" purchases are limited to five or six dollars per week. Good to know, though. I'll pass this info on to the constituent assistance staff at my alderperson's office to put into their database of knowledge. Oh, and Lifeline/ACP are excellent programs. Nobody should have to go without cell and internet service in 2023.

Most will allow prepared foods such as cold hoagies, but not hot foods, however one can simple ask if they'll warm it for you... That's a hit or miss depending on employee and if it's busy say rush hour 😉

Tops Grocery Store is the only Grocery Store I know of that does not allow you to buy cold subs with EBT. They say that they cannot sell cold subs on EBT. They actually have signs up that state that they will not sell cold subs with EBT. Basically I thought that all grocery stores follow the same rules. Maybe someone should go and train them on the uses of EBT.
I live in Arkansas and since I originally got my snap benefit in 2019 my benefits keep going down! I’m raising my grandson and in 2021 my benefit went down twice. Then I got my social security disability raised by 30.00 for 2022 and food stamps went down 90.00 !? Go figure! Every time I ask someone about it, they say it’s a formula in the computer and they have nothing to do with it 😞 cost of living has sky rocketed and my income is ridiculously low! I don’t understand!?😢

It's because of the COLA increases each year. Cost of living increases so it automatically decreased the amount of SNAP benefits you receive since you get more in Disability.

The one place I am at now, was thrilled to have a front porch. My most recent place, grew some marjoram seeds that came my way, and catnip my first year in to see how they will grow in this climate. My psychotic addicted neighbor ruined them by overwatering and clipping. She is finally gone. Am in the process of growing two organic sweet potatoes, from slips. One is doing fairly well. Need to put in larger pots. Anything over 20 inch pot is a lease violation from the porch police. Might have to break the rules by a few inches. Think with that neighbor finally gone, will try again next year. Community plots, if available in an area, run about $40 plot. Sure wish some of these churches can legally be allowed to donate portions of their lawns for community gardens.

I can get prepared sushi at grocery stores in the New Orleans area. I don't recommend it as it's expensive. There're better options when trying to make your SNAP benefits last until the next time it's reloaded. Still, it's WAY cheaper than going to a sushi bar/restaurant. I'd consider it a rare treat that's healthier than a lot of snacks IMO.

🌀 The DCF/EBT website in Florida shows a message indicating that benefits will increase by only 6% in October. Why doesn't it show a 25% increase as stated in the news media? I believe the increase is supposed to be $61 but don’t quote me; I was just discussing this with my boyfriend if he still is?🤣 They cut him from 192$ down to $19 and the guy told him because he pays taxes on his SSDI and we live in FL and we don’t pay taxes and I’m shocked when I learned that there are 13 or 17 States that actually take taxes out of retired SS taxes for state and federal taxes-“That Blew my Mind”! In fact, you couldn't support a Chihuahua on the amount they give a single person! Anyway, since Social Security is getting an increase, HUD will get 30% of that, and the Food Stamps will decrease. The government gives with one hand, & takes away with the other! Hoping beyond hope for another Stimulus Check to get caught up on bills. My organic sweet potatos, were purchased EBT. Had to work on producing the slips. Hoping they produce enough leafs, am told they make great nutritious consumption. The organic potting soil I had to purchase, along with planters were not cheap. Am hoping my gardening budget next year will allow for an easy to work with composter. So, I can recycle my soil and vegetable scraps. More money I hope to squeeze out of my pockets, that I hope I will get ,y money's worth out of. More skills to learn, such as figuring out how to keep insects off my vegetable plants. Each local EBT office should hand out free, a few planters, packets of seeds, potting soil. But not all EBT have places they can easily grow foods. The EBT office should hand out food preservation supplies. Some people can can. Others like me, a 'no', but it is more economical and healthier produce I can purchase at the peak of harvest season. Am still experimenting. Fruits are too sticky and not much success, so will stick to freezing off for smoothies. Bagged produce has that recommended step for preferred blanching, already done for my tiny kitchen. Dig deep into my pockets, spent a lot of time on the internet, researching, products and tips. Am happy with much of my dehydrating. Most veggies end up getting powdered and added to salads, soups, stocks and ramen. My food experience today is with watermelon rinds to powder. Want to try and add to fruit juice smoothies. Am skipping the Depression Era sugared watermelon and citrus rind recipes for kids candies.

Bought kinder eggs for my kids at walmart was surprised that food stamps can them so I have bought them at walmart, safeway and cvs pharmacy but just last night at elk grove walmart in sacramento california they said no you can not buy non-food items with food stamps if I just did on 3/26/22 that was a Saturday so by 3/30/22 Wednesday it changed what's the difference from Saturday to Wednesday so I went to safeway to check if anything had changed and no was able to buy the kinder eggs with food stamps with no problem

Kinder eggs are a waste of money, especially since at the stores, foodstamps monies are recognized as the equivalent of a dollar bill. My kid now aged 40, remembers when on foodstamps and a bus system we relief on a lot. No junk or non-nutritious foods to be purchased with the paper foodstamps. Told her that was hard earned taxpayers money and most don't qualify, lived life on both sides. We had an obligation to eat healthy, and not put the taxpayers paying for poor health choices twice at the doctor's office. Rarely, I needed to stop at the store on long buses. Didn't want to deal with messy fruit. Back then, some nutrition bars did not qualify for foodstamps, yet candy and chips did qualify, had to just in, ' give in purchase a few candy bars until we got home so her hands were clean on the bus and she was not with a growling stomach. She has toddlers to teens now, her hubby makes good money, came from a wealthy family that never taught him how to budget. Was impressed with my daughter straight out of highschool math and budgeting skills. Until then, he thought people on welfare were stupid. Of course, I have stood in long lines, glancing at their shopping baskets with all kinds of too many products of unhealthy food choices,. Sometimes her family does go on a bit of junk food binges, usually busy schedules, but they are all happier once their mom gets back on track with healthier food choices that each of her family seems to enjoy. Also, I have had to scrimp and save. Enjoy using my gifted used blender, crockpot and rice cooker. Am using the rice cooker for boiled eggs. Scrimped and saved with the purchasing extra produce, and to freeze some off. Learned to make stock. Grocery rotisserie and fried chicken are cost effective, as I freeze the bones off for a crockpot stock. Extra produce on sale such as tomatoes, I buy extra. Bits and pieces are the extra, I can cut up to add to a can of soup or stock. My apartment freezer small and I am slowly running out of food management space. Scrimped and splurged a few months ago. Am still on a learning curve, but ending up to be satisfied at the sight of foods, includes dehydrated carrots, celery which I store in baby food and spice jars. Not appealing to the eyes, once dehydrated and powdered. A, mostly adding to salads, soups, stocks and salads. Lots to learn, includes brining vegetables, am not into canning. So much work to learn, scrimp and save. Will never get rich off of these food management techniques, but lots of effort not to waste. Recently purchased a food saver, but only for some longer term use items. Will stick with baggies for the fridge and a short freeze off. Am having limited success, maybe it's a new brand of baggies I need. And cucumbers and watermelons are not suggested for foodsaver longer term freezing. Sure wish they would increase my foodstamps so I can stretch my budget a bit farther when I need cash to purchase some of the produce, cheeses, butters, all I can get a bit cheaper if on sale.
I used my card for the very first time. I bought eggs, ice cream and two bottles of an energy drink. It came to $11.10 but would only pay the $11. I had to pay the extra 10 cents. I don’t care about the 10 cents but curious why?

I do the weekly supermarket haul for an older lady that lives near my house because she has mobility issues. She has the Texas lone star card which is a EBT food card. My question is, everything I pay the machine asks me if it’s an EBT transaction or if I want the cash benefit. I have asked the owner of the card but neither of us know what this option is.

Hi I see that your post was 5months ago but I'm not sure if I understand your question. You could call the store & pose your question to someone at the service desk or wait until you go on a grocery run again for your neighbor and ask at the service desk in person. I've found that some cashiers don't have the answers for some questions involving Snap or cash funds. What a blessing you are for your neighbor and you are being blessed in return!

Do not use someone else's card unless they have placed your name on the app, at any given time, to authorize you as a ebt user. Can be considered theft. My daughter is an authorized user. Simple to add her name.

Albertsons about one of these stores in my town. Much healthier and better when I go to the cold juice section. Rarely, I will purchase tea. Usually, it's a larger container of lemonade or other juices on sale. This is my on the go should I be with on outing or shoppings with her and the grandkids. About the same price as a 2 liter of soda. Healthier. Once I get home, I will add water as I go along drinking it. Cuts down on sugars and calories. There is a Starbucks, but none of their drinks meets either my cash or EBT food stamp budgets. Long lines and the drinks are not pure fruit, lots of overpriced chemical flavourings.

Plenty of charities around the holidays will help out with the candies and baskets. Get creative with the kids, make dyed eggs or purchase different nutrition bars for the baskets. Make cookies, cakes from boxed mixes. Cheaper and makes lasting memories. My daughter now she 40, married well. Toddlers to teens. Sometimes they explore with junk food, usually when schedules get hectic. They are always happy when their mom, gets them back on track with healthier food. My daughter thanks me for the rule that the paperwork foodstamps come from hardworking taxpayers like me to a point when I worked since she 15 sometimes two and three jobs, without a car and still when I started having babies, did not qualify for foodstamps. My daughter and I sometimes make comments on different foods, uses and prices. Sometimes we remark on older family members either good or poor eaters, what they passed away from. Sometimes we take a moment of pride, reflecting on all of our financial struggling includes also eating healthy, how much on target and sometimes years younger than our peers, that we look. The goal was no foodstamps on junk or unhealthy food unless it came as a celebration out of a college school grant or in-between temp jobs paychecks. Rarely, I have had off travel days in-between long buses, that the stores offered usually messy fruit, so I treated her to candy bars in wrappers. Chips too messy for hands on and off the bus. One summer so hot, that I allowed her a soda and ice cream. Had to time it between buses for her growling stomach and had to be quick. Did I since because that 'cost; too much and ate into the foodstamp budget more. Not sure if a gallon of ice cream qualified as junk food, but purchased that and yogurts for the hot summers and not much of a decent cooling system. My daughter sometimes thanks me for teaching her to choose healthy as possible food options, which also stretched the foodstamp dollar budgets.

I was behind someone yesterday in an expensive CONVENIENCE store getting 2 Lance meat and cheese snacks, 2 Jubba bubba chewing gum packs and 2 Otis spunkmeyer cookies. How are these necessities? This person was dressed in fine clothes and got into an SUV better than what I drive. WTF?!?
What happened to incentivizing people to get better jobs to get off assistance? Our system is creating a generation of dependents.
I certainly wouldnt buy energy drinks or cookies because I think sugar is bad for you. IDK what Lance meat is, if its meat, then that is an essential. cheese snacks? High protein, fills you up, great to put in kids lunch boxes. Gum, if you have gut problems chewing on gum actually produces good bacteria and relieves you of issues, also some people quit chewing tobacco this way. Maybe the SUV was a rental, had an Uber driver pick me up in a Tesla, could not stress enough it was not his. Fine clothes? You can find nice clothes at thrift shops, maybe they were old clothes but the person kept them nice, thats what they did in the 1940's, they would have fine clothes, but they'd keep them nice, not a lot of clothes but the ones they did have were nice. You never know somebody's situation, so theres a few scenerios for you to think of
C'mon, we know it wasn't. It was in a convenience store, buying convenience food with taxpayer money. #1 EBT purchase is SODA POP. There's no way that is a necessity. They won’t allow hot foods there rules unless your in a state with a state of emergency and they have to allow you hot foods due to having no power.

Although base off your comment I would say check with your local laws on what is and isn’t available. For some places snap or EBT is available for hot food for homeless and elderly people but I don’t know why state your in. A sub sandwich is cold so it should fly but again it depends on the places who accept EBT/SNAP as well. Just because you can’t be a good of sorts does not mean you can use that card anywhere.
