Hi captain can we fly the ILS approach and press the ALT HOLD 100 feet above circling minima and then continue with the remaining circling procedure ? Is not possible technically? Or its not done as manufacturer recommendation to prevent CFIT? Or it's not done this way as a company policy to prevent CFIT?
It is not ideal, we fly using VNAV and the minima on the Mcp so that we are sure the aircraft will level off at the Minima. If you use app mode you are at risk of not levelling off...

Hey Capt , i studied for cpl subjects and cleared exams too. But if i ask myself a question i will not be able to answer some, especially data's. How do you as a professional pilot remember all you have studied.
That's a great question.. Only you know what you don't really know or remember.. keep studying and refreshing what you think you should. There are no secrets..

There is no reason really.. I think both are good enough..

It depends on the Company procedure, usually is between 1000feet and MDA however it could be different

You are very welcome! The traffic pattern are procedures that we need to follow when landing visually
Down wind is the part of the pattern when you are abeam the runway before the base...
