The main reason is usually terrain preventing a normal approach to the runway that has the wind in its favor. For example, the approach might be too steep to land directly even when there's a headwind, and you might come in from the opposite direction and then circle around to the runway.
I did a fly from lgav to lghi and approach VOR DME RWY 01 and when I pressed the approach my plane did an auto glide path I have a video but i tried many times and some times do glide path other no. Sorry for my English I can’t udpnderstand why happened this. I am on xbox and I don’t have any mod this happened with daher tbm 930 and citation longitude. Your channel helped me a lot.
Maybe not the right place for this but I could not find another way. When I set up GPS flight plan in the Nav Log it gives me all kinds of information on the climb, descent, approach with times, altitudes speed etc. When flying I cannot seem to find that information. The Nav Log I am being shown is extremely basic only showing the destination. Currently I am writing down this information, but I would rather not. Any suggestions? Minimum is there a preprinted page of some sort where we can fill in the blanks? Thank you I have learned a lot from your videos!
the waypoints in the navlog for descent & approach are approximate at best, and won’t appear on the flight plan because they’re not “real” waypoints. you’re best to calculate descent time yourself by doing something like this: th-cam.com/video/FUw0p8Rd4Zs/w-d-xo.html
Nothing you're doing wrong, but I'm waiting to get back into the game when they get off their ass and have a triple screen support after two whole years of it being out.
It would be good if you gave a background about yourself regarding flying. I have been flying the Zibo 737-800 and have over 800 hours in the sim. Always learning.
I don’t have nearly as many hours in msfs ! I’ve been simming since fs98 though, and this channel really is me relearning all this stuff myself because I stepped away from it for a few years
Your class are always a pleasure
Great presentation. Thanks
Why not just pick the approach with the wind in your favor from the get go this way you don’t have to do circle approach?great video thank you

I’ve noticed the default planes are buggy when it comes to the approach mode. I don’t think it’s anything you’re doing, just the sim being special.
Great!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a game but a simulator that is pretty close to the real thing.
