This, armada, and g1 are shows i regularly revisit. Prime was just so well written for what it was and had no chill. It was like armada just updated with fancy animation and god tier writing and the mindset of not caring about putting characters or random bots in positions to be killed in crazy ways.
My favorite episode is “thirst” of season 3 Also imagine if the dinobots were in TFP. Grimlock vs Predaking would go so hard (and yes I know it’s technically linked with the WFC games but it really isn’t when you pull back the first layer)
What's crazy is that in the Ratchet steroids episode, when Ratchet goes off on Optimus, originally he didn't go off on Optimus cause he didn't kill Megatron when he had the chance. Originally he was supposed to mention Elita1, Optimus' old sparkmate, and how he could've saved her but instead he was the reason why she died. Then Optimus was supposed to loose his shit and just punch the absolute shit out of Ratchet, but the creators felt like that was too out of character for him. I kinda wish they kept the original concept in that scene I feel like it would've made the episode better. It would've made Optimus a little more human. Like I felt like everybody else in the group had their deep character moment. It would've been nice seeing Optimus loose his cool just once, but the scene of him screaming in the forest after Starscream steals the omega keys from them was shocking but also kinda hilarious at the same time. But I feel like keeping that moment in would've added a little more depth to Optimus' character to show that even he is capable of falling in love. He would've had a moment similar to Ratchet holding that guilt for not being able to save his partner, the love of his life. But still the episode was still really good.
In a way, Transformers Prime and Beast Wars actually have a lot in common. Because in general CGI is more expensive to animate and produce than standard 2d art. In both cases the result was a much smaller roster of characters to work with. And because of that, the writers had to figure out ways to make compelling stories with a much smaller cast. So we get to know the characters much better. This is in heavy contrast to G1 or even Transformers Animated, where new characters were practically being introduced every single episode. (Which is fine, but it makes it hard for every character to get time in the spotlight) Beast Wars might seem goofy, and the animation is dated. But it and Reboot were literally the first fully CGI animations on television. Before them this was only done by movie studios with things like Toy Story. And they obviously have a lot more money to work with. A lot of the humor in both shows are simply a product of the time. Beast Wars is very much a 90s show, just like Prime is very much a 2010s show. All in all, both Beast Wars and Prime are my two favorite Transformers series. And the characters are the reason why. Whenever i see someone praising Transformers Prime, I have to watch that video, and i was really pleasantly surprised, because as for all the things that were said in this video i agree with most of them (of course the things i disagree with are some little things, or certain words, but nothing too important to mention). This show really deserves its name, because this is the Prime of what Transformers has to offer (in my opinion), and no other show or movie has come close to comparing it to this show. I also found out about the novellas that describe before the war on Cybertron, and how the war started (of course how it started in this version of the universe), by watching the same videos you showed, and some others that described a lot of other things. This show is really close to my heart, and I remember when I found the first video on TH-cam because at the time I was obsessed with anything Transformers, especially because of the movies, and this show satisfied me so much that any show or movie I watched with Transformers couldn't satisfy me like before, because simply knowing what these characters were supposed to be, and how Transformers Prime presented them perfectly, and nothing that came after could compare, and that's not just for the characters, but the character designs, and how the world works. Transformers Prime had a perfect ending, especially with that short film at the end which perfectly concluded the stories we followed, and opened the door for possible new ones, although everything that came out afterwards was not good (and this is putting it mildly). I always wanted novels about life before the war on Cybertron, and how the war on Cybertron started until they come to earth to be adapted in the art style of Transformers Prime (with the same team that did the original show), to completely complete that amazing story, with things we didn't have a chance to see, and see things explained from different perspectives, but i know that it will never happen, and that i'm asking for too much, but what can i do? When i'm a fan of this Prime universe, that was so amazingly put together. I don't have high hopes for the movie that is coming, and I see it as their own thing not connected to anything before, and that they want to adapt this story in a new way, and that's the only way I can watch this, and not be mad, because they're doing the complete opposite from what I've wanted them to do for years! I'm digressing a bit here, what I'm trying to say is that I hope this movie is good, and that they don't try to tie it to anything. Great video, and I'm glad I found a fan of this show, with whom I share a lot of opinions regarding this show.

Yeah, agree. I wish Prime got a real sequel/prequel. I also wanted to watch a show about the early years of Orion, and Megtarons during the Golden Age in the Prime's continuity/style. If you like TFP, give a chance to the IDW Transformers comic book series. TFP took a lots of elements from that comics run (actually they used a lots of IDW's stuff to create 'the alligned continuity' which is the universe TFP takes place in)

Transformers Prime is one of my all-time favorite shows and is far better all the live-action movies combined. I've got all 3 seasons on DVD and I got the main 5 Autobots toys. I want others like the Nostalgia Critic, Steve Reviews and Phelous to watch and review it.
In my humble opinion, they should leave Bumblebee dead. It would spice it up. TF Prime begun with death of Autobot. And would end with death of Autobot.
Despite the hate RiD 2015 gets, i enjoyed it, but it would have been cool if megatron returned as a good guy for a episode or two, considering the ending of Predacons Rising, it’s feasible.
But given the fact he disbanded the decepticons and the trauma bee and other auto bots went through I don’t think it would’ve been ideal on his part so I respect him for remaining wherever he flew off to after predacons rising
My god!! TF Prime! As a child of 8, when Transformers first aired, I was hooked, and I am very nostalgic for anything G-1, but!!! When I saw TF Prime for the first time, I literally looked at my wife, (who graciously supports my TF hobby) and said, "Wow! These designs look so good!!" And they quickly became my favorites! I absolutely would not STOP hunting every 1st edition figure released, (and based on the aftermarket prices, I'm glad I did!) especially my Bumblebee and Optimus Prime! By far though, my favorite TF Prime Autobot character has to be Bulkhead! His interactions with Wheel Jack, makes me want a spin off "Wreckers," show! For the cons, Megatron all the WAY!! My GOD, is he intimidating!! And his backstory rocks! You can see how he started with good intentions, but got lost in the power! Such a great show! I rewatch the entire thing on the regular, mostly because we're starved for "good" TF media. What I'd really like to see, is the IDW comics animated! That stuff is hardcore, and pretty violent, so not for the kids, but come on, I'm an OG fan, and I'm 46 now, and ready for some mature themed TF media, thats not the Micheal Bay stuff, (the first one was cool,) actually done by folks that love and respect the lore and characters. The TF Prime designs are SO cool man, especially as they fit the modern era very well. And that's so cool you collect TFP 1st edition figures! I've tried to get my hands on some, but their pretty hard to get honestly. And I would LOVE a IDW film or show adaptation, that would be really good, especially with the evolution of Megatron, introduction of Tarn, and the insanity of the war. This show was my entire childhood. Easily my first ever hyperfixation, easily one of the best tf shows that exist. Coming back to it after years was such a trip!
Knockout existed prior to the show, but he was a really obscure character prior, and like Blackout and a few others was really popularized by one adaptation that has been the basis for that character going forward
Even tho I grew up with transformers animated (and trust me. I will hold that show to my heart). I can’t deny that tfp is still really good (even if I love animated just a bit more)

For a long time, TFP has been my fav of the entire franchise. But there is something out since last october that could take that title if it's entire run keeps up the perfect quality that its had so far - Image Comics Transformers. As far a TFP goes, season 1 and 2 were peak. But season 3 was a big drop in quality and felt rushed.
I'm glad in the finale it was bumblebee to finish Megatron because bumblebee had everything took from him bumblebee had to finish even if it meant dieing
About Optimus from Bay-Verse. He was written and created with a different voice actor in mind. Cullen doesn't fit this crazy Optimus, but if you apply the voice of Liam Neeson... everything suddently fits.
That still doesn't explain why he acts like any regular optimus in 07 and suddenly changes in the sequels. Doesn't make it better the comics do a better job handling this "war broken" prime better than the movies did by having characters (such as elita) acknowledge prime's increased aggression and at times questioning it.
On the topic of Transformers One you can just tell is tfp/exodus 2.0 like come on from the character design, music, story and etc. I have hope this movie will become a trilogy and finally show to hasbro not every movie has to be live action. Also i'm gonna lose it if brian tyler adds some of the tfp osts in which likely happened will shall see.
Exactly, I'm more leaning towards Transformers being more animated than live-action, and take place in cybertron. Hasbro genuinely has UNLIMITED potential and ideas for Transformers movies. And yeah, if I hear the dramatic heartbreaking ost from tfp in Transformers One, I'm gonna cry on god
One thing I hated about this show is just how they immediately got rid of cliffjumper, I get that we get to see a couple of more scenes of him but I wanted to see him more, to make it a good reason why is he in the thumbnail of the show in the first place

Excellent video! I actually made a TFP retrospective myself last year for the 10th anniversary of Predacons Rising (th-cam.com/video/UV3EI6VZLMM/w-d-xo.html) as well as a video before that specifically about Dreadwing (th-cam.com/video/AHbhK3MKBd4/w-d-xo.html). Plus I’m thinking of doing more TFP videos in the future. I certainly agree that this is the best source of TF media ever and that RID 2015 is non-canon. I had a similar reaction to Bumblebee’s near-death and subsequent killing of Megatron. As well as how season 3 started as gloomy as I expected it to be after season 2 ended on such a mind-blowing cliffhanger. And I know Miko gets a lot of hate, but I think she had some untapped potential, as we know the least about her and her family compared to Jack and Raf. I could probably do a video about that at some point. I do find it interesting that TF: One got Bryan Tyler to do the score, but overall my expectations are pretty low for that movie. The first trailer was kinda mid IMO and even though the second trailer was better, I’m not instilled with much confidence. But maybe I’ll be wrong and the hype from that early screening will be real. Anyway, I hope this TFP video gets more views because you really deserve it.
Even as a kid, it did take me awhile to like Miko, but she definitely develops and becomes way more of a better character in season 2&3. I do agree that the first trailer for TF One was overall average, but the second trailer changed my mind quickly, as I feel that they are misleading us on purpose, probably to get more kids to watch the movie. But the overall very positive reception and screenings are a great thing to hear. And thank you so much for watching this video, I'll definitely check out your TFP videos!
I think the only bad thing this show did was not put more transformers in it, like Sentinel Prime, Drift, Baricade, Jazz, Ironhide, Mirage, The decepticon army should have been real robots instead of the generic ones.

Dope vid but I do have a question for you I have not yet seen it on any other channels. Mainly talking about the lifecycle of Cybertronians if all life comes from the all spark and ultimately returned to it, do it seem kind of like a life, death and rebirth or the all spark itself, generates brand new live sparks. I most definitely would like to see your response because I think it’s a rebirth cycle.

TFP and the Cybertron games have the same basics but the story and characters and events contradict each other. Hasbro attempted to have idw reboot their entire universe to make it connected to the aligned continuity but idw declined but offered to make some mini series of comics that tried to connect the games to prime but that didn't work either. Good example being how "out of past" from s2 basically adapts a prequel comic to prime that explains how arcee and cliff got to earth but the episode and the comic are too different. My point was like it or not, the games and prime are connected, in a poorly/loosely connected way of course

Shockwave is, without a doubt, my favorite character in this whole show.
Soundwave in this show was like 2003 General Grievous. He only lost in 2 altercations throughout the entire show.

Knockout existed prior to the show, but he was a really obscure character prior, and like Blackout and a few others was really popularized by one adaptation that has been the basis for that character going forward
Even tho I grew up with transformers animated (and trust me. I will hold that show to my heart). I can’t deny that tfp is still really good (even if I love animated just a bit more)

For a long time, TFP has been my fav of the entire franchise.
But there is something out since last october that could take that title if it's entire run keeps up the perfect quality that its had so far - Image Comics Transformers.
As far a TFP goes, season 1 and 2 were peak. But season 3 was a big drop in quality and felt rushed.
I'm glad in the finale it was bumblebee to finish Megatron because bumblebee had everything took from him bumblebee had to finish even if it meant dieing
About Optimus from Bay-Verse. He was written and created with a different voice actor in mind. Cullen doesn't fit this crazy Optimus, but if you apply the voice of Liam Neeson... everything suddently fits.
That still doesn't explain why he acts like any regular optimus in 07 and suddenly changes in the sequels. Doesn't make it better the comics do a better job handling this "war broken" prime better than the movies did by having characters (such as elita) acknowledge prime's increased aggression and at times questioning it.
This show is SO GOATED man, hopefully Transformers One lives up to the hype!

Exactly, I'm more leaning towards Transformers being more animated than live-action, and take place in cybertron. Hasbro genuinely has UNLIMITED potential and ideas for Transformers movies. And yeah, if I hear the dramatic heartbreaking ost from tfp in Transformers One, I'm gonna cry on god
One thing I hated about this show is just how they immediately got rid of cliffjumper, I get that we get to see a couple of more scenes of him but I wanted to see him more, to make it a good reason why is he in the thumbnail of the show in the first place
I may be a bayverse die hard fan and I actually find the first 3 movies genuinely great movies but prime is the best transformers show allinged in general is peak, this show had the best Optimus prime Litterally the fatherly figure, a mixture of bayverse, G1 and idw
But honestly bayverse prime had a good reason to kill decepticons his pacifist ways didn’t work on cybertron leading to its destruction, he lost so much so Optimus being pissed is justified

Excellent video! I actually made a TFP retrospective myself last year for the 10th anniversary of Predacons Rising (th-cam.com/video/UV3EI6VZLMM/w-d-xo.html) as well as a video before that specifically about Dreadwing (th-cam.com/video/AHbhK3MKBd4/w-d-xo.html). Plus I’m thinking of doing more TFP videos in the future.
I certainly agree that this is the best source of TF media ever and that RID 2015 is non-canon. I had a similar reaction to Bumblebee’s near-death and subsequent killing of Megatron. As well as how season 3 started as gloomy as I expected it to be after season 2 ended on such a mind-blowing cliffhanger. And I know Miko gets a lot of hate, but I think she had some untapped potential, as we know the least about her and her family compared to Jack and Raf. I could probably do a video about that at some point.
I do find it interesting that TF: One got Bryan Tyler to do the score, but overall my expectations are pretty low for that movie. The first trailer was kinda mid IMO and even though the second trailer was better, I’m not instilled with much confidence. But maybe I’ll be wrong and the hype from that early screening will be real.
Anyway, I hope this TFP video gets more views because you really deserve it.
Even as a kid, it did take me awhile to like Miko, but she definitely develops and becomes way more of a better character in season 2&3. I do agree that the first trailer for TF One was overall average, but the second trailer changed my mind quickly, as I feel that they are misleading us on purpose, probably to get more kids to watch the movie. But the overall very positive reception and screenings are a great thing to hear. And thank you so much for watching this video, I'll definitely check out your TFP videos!
I think the only bad thing this show did was not put more transformers in it, like Sentinel Prime, Drift, Baricade, Jazz, Ironhide, Mirage, The decepticon army should have been real robots instead of the generic ones.

Dope vid but I do have a question for you I have not yet seen it on any other channels. Mainly talking about the lifecycle of Cybertronians if all life comes from the all spark and ultimately returned to it, do it seem kind of like a life, death and rebirth or the all spark itself, generates brand new live sparks. I most definitely would like to see your response because I think it’s a rebirth cycle.

It's so bad that I don't even want to point out things in this almost hour long video, and just send people to paperplane's april fools video about tfp. But one thing I can't ignore. Praising Megatron's last line about oppression is another level of craziness. It's far fetched even for children's fairy tales/lullabies. Galvatron from g1 *THE* movie wouldn't approve.
It's the best TF show but the writing was awful and people are still saying that the show is related to the Cybertron games 😂. It's not.

TFP and the Cybertron games have the same basics but the story and characters and events contradict each other. Hasbro tried to connect them with books and comics but those didn't make much sense either so...
@@MarsiB013 yeah you're basically saying what I'm implying, hasbro allowed the writers of tf prime to make any continuity errors if it benefited their story but hasbro continued to see prime as canon to the games despite this. Hasbro attempted to have idw reboot their entire universe to make it connected to the aligned continuity but idw declined but offered to make some mini series of comics that tried to connect the games to prime but that didn't work either.
Good example being how "out of past" from s2 basically adapts a prequel comic to prime that explains how arcee and cliff got to earth but the episode and the comic are too different. My point was like it or not, the games and prime are connected, in a poorly/loosely connected way of course
