I've known about Marianne since the early 90s and I'm so happy Bill is giving her time. She is so well-read, so cultured, and so intelligent. She is an accomplished author and speaker. Too many have jumped to the wrong conclusion about her and are not really listening to her message.
I love Marianne Williamson AND all the inspiring comments everyone is putting here and in other TH-cam videos of her. It is lifting my spirit to see so much support for her. I am going through every comment & liking every one! BEAUTIFUL!
@@christinechin1909 Same here, I'm Serbian and I can't donate. I wish Americans could fully realize how blessed they are with a candidate like Marianne.
Nikola Lukic Yes, feels she is representing the whole world! After the intensely negative time we have all been going through with Donald Trump, she is bringing back some healing hope for the whole planet.

Wise Teacher this lady needs to be throwin’ in a hole; not running for President. Please mind your business, and don’t promote this fool. No one wants a charlatan running the highest office in America. Trump is an ass, but nothing compared to this quack. Leave the self help books for menopausal women like yourself, not running a country where war is a clear n present danger besides all the other issues plaguing our nation...
HKZ P This is false, from her own campaign website in regards to America being the richest country in the world “...universal health care should be seen as the most natural thing in world”
HKZ P Denying treatments to certain people, in my opinion, does NOT align with her morals. I trust her to address any unfairness in our health care system. She is committed to the people, her work has made this clear to me
No this just really shows what brainwashed sheep Democrat voters are. They will do and believe anything their lying media tells them. They do not think and do anything they are not told too, even who to vote for. The second Trump came out with his campaign messages the media throttled him. A barrage of hate and anger not seen in modern times in America. Republicans didn’t care, they knew the MSM will lie and contort his messages. He immediately went to the top of the polls against everything the media and party said. Democrat voters this women should be ahead of many of your top candidates. She is everything you say you vote for. But you are programmed morons who are too scared to do anything you media doesn’t command you. You really are brainwashed NPCs.
I know someone who worked for her and she is fucking insane behind the scenes. she acts like an angry child throwing temper tantrums and constantly belittles her staff who she views like subhuman slaves. seeing how good of a liar she is and how she has you all convinced actually makes me lose faith in humanity and not want to trust any public figure ever again.
Marianne gets it almost too much...she cares, has a heart, and is super intelligent. What she says resonates with a lot of people - I already sent my money to keep her in the race. She’s on it!
I love this woman. Don’t know much about her, but I want to know more. She is very well versed on all of these important issues. And she has great insight about what to do about our country’s big problems. And she is obviously extremely smart..! Go Marianne..!!!!
I had the opportunity to meet Marianne earlier this week and what you see is what you get with this person, she is truly unique in her intelligence, coherence, depth, knowledge and eagerness to continue to learn. she was phenomenal at answering a very varied and disparate set of questions from a very diverse public! this is when she really blew me away, her grace, humanity and clarity in answering all the questions (some very inappropriate and confusing) and NOT selling out trying to gain approval, her clarity is so great because she is fully present and actually listening attentively. Its become a favorite to read comments under Marianne's videos and see how people are forming their own opinions about her instead of taking other people's words. I love to see that most of her supporters are cool and dont go loco hatting on haters, I feel like that also says a lot about Marianne and what she brings out in people 🤙✌️💘

She understands what the wonks don’t: politics is fundamentally a psychological and moral science, and its goal-happiness-can’t be achieved without a clear sight of this reality. It seems no accident that American life, under the wonks’ leadership, has become distinctly paranoid, anxious, lonely, depressed, and unstable. In a country with substantive politics, a conversation about America’s fractious psychological state would be front and center. Instead, it gets buried under superficial policy chatter. The wonks can’t see the forest for the trees. Their politics has no solution for problems of the soul because it lacks the depth to see these problems for what they are. Wonks have sapped American life of its sense of the sacred, of belonging to a human community and a natural order larger than the self. These worshipers of “the self” have, from the top-down, impressed upon the American soul an isolating, vapid culture of expressive individualism that tries to fulfill soulful cravings with vulgar materialism. To the wonks, any policy must be dismissed that can’t be reduced to capsule size, backed by the credentialed expertise of the right professional people working for “respectable” institutions. There is never any consideration for our deep needs which cannot be supplied by government or sized down to a policy plan. If lots of people are unhappy, anxious, depressed and killing themselves and each other, there cannot be something wrong with society’s soul; the problem, like the solution, must be strictly material. Working from this basis, most typically think of soulful matters as things which ought to be relegated to the personal sphere; Williamson believes an appropriate and critical role for it exists at the political level. While her competitors fight over how to fund health care, Williamson wants “radical truth-telling, not just to talk about healthcare but to talk about why we’re so sick all the time.” She wants a politics that goes “much deeper and speaks to the heart.” Williamson has pointed out the deep spiritual impoverishment of our politics and culture. Even the most radical Democrats are “wonks” who think that supplying the right resources to the right people will solve all political problems. Senators Sanders and Elizabeth Warren rail against the exploitation of drug companies, but neither goes as far as Williamson does in suggesting that Big Pharma is suppressing, rather than healing, human despair. For the “wonks,” it’s all about trusting the “experts” and getting people the drugs they are said to need. They never ask why so many people appear to need these drugs. Materialism fundamentally sees the human as a being in want of bread: the soul either does not exist, or it has needs which cannot be recognized on the level of politics; there is no highest Good to life - morality is neither here nor there, something to be kept strictly separate from the most important questions; the source of all knowledge is science, but little can be known with certainty about what is really true and good; the wisdom of the ages is mere superstition to be discarded, its prudence and prohibitions scorned; the individual is the center of a political community that has no particular reason for existing, other than to provide the means for limitlessly increasing choice. Careerism, “busyness,” and consumption are the highest goods; laborers and lovers alike are fungible in fluid, selfish, and dehumanizing marketplaces; despair is a problem for science to solve, with pills and other sedatives. The idea that people even have souls, and that bad habits and choices can hurt their souls, fails to register. This materialism has not made society happier. Broken families and communities are the norms rather than the exception. The peace and tranquility of home life are a shambles, spoiled equally by divorce and the “two-income trap.” Happiness has material and spiritual conditions, but rule by policy wonkery has destroyed both and then supplied opiates-both literal and figurative-to make life tolerable in the aftermath. Ours is a time of endless choice: a feast of entertainment is available to almost anyone. Travel is cheaper and more accessible than ever. At the same time, America has never been more sad, angry, and deranged. These are not the vital signs of a thriving culture. She is such a beautiful person. She's the one candidate who addresses the basic understandings of why we are where we are on every issue. I'd like to hear her proposals for how she would go about changing them at the next debate.
@@Social_Pugatory and nicholas whyte. Thank you for speaking out. I'm nearly 60 now and I am just starting to understand the magnitude of corporate influence and systemic corruption. So many of my generation, at least the white ones, thought the playing field relatively level and that if we just worked hard enough the trickle down could still give us a shot at the american dream. I am energized by Marianne and hope the next generation can wake up in time. Unfortunately, I fear the time is already here and too many people just don't get her
@monokhem Thats not my point, as a political voice with large platform she is discussing issues in a way that one else wants to discuss or has the ability to discuss.
Bthill Maher is a little too full of himself.....when he is interviewing MW he is always turning her statements back to himself. Marianne Williamson is speaking some uncomfortable truths...I for one am glad she is out there shaking up "business as usual".
HKZ P Go away! Stop pushing your trolling points everywhere in hopes of making candidates less popular by mischaracterising them. So just pretend you’re acting like a bot so your Russian owners are happy. No need to clutter the comments up with your nonsense.
HKZ P quite the dialogue bud. Maybe if you did more listening then speaking you would hear what he or she was saying. It’s no wonder the retarded inbred section of this country elected a guy who called them stupid years ago when asked if he would ever run for czar. A lifelong Democrat with many wife’s, rape allegations bankruptcies etc is the jesus of the Jesus pimpers. Oh the irony
I met her last month at our Democratic Party office and she is so passionate and very nice. She answered all of our questions and took many pictures. I really like her.
Well then it sounds like you are what I consider a "true conservative." Much like the "true liberal," which Marianne clearly is, this is not a classification that you'll find in abundance in the mainstream in this country anymore.
I believe she needs to go all the way. If we stand behind her, no matter what people say about "not standing a chance" the chance is our cooperative decision to create a concerted effort to stand behind her and watch her breakdown the ego of trump at the final stage. She can break his psyche down so good that the nation will see him in the contrast of her enlightened and mature nature. If our nation can vote President Trump into office, then we can definitely vote Marriane Williamson into office. It's in our control.
Dream on. Bernie hardly even stands a chance with the likes of the DNC, not to mention every bank and corporation, working against him. How is this goofy broad with her New Age happy horseshit going to stand a chance? Tulsi G. is much more of a badass, anyway.
Love this woman Marianne Williamson. I saw this episode on Real time. She is right, The politicians in Washington has no heart or compassion. It's all about the money, how can we raise taxes, how much i can get from the lobbyist. She is right about reparation for black people in America. Over 2 million black people are in prison, black communities are in distress. I hope we can get more people like this in Washington.
Do u think a complete political novice like her has any chance at fighting corporations? I agree with most of her economics but think she def isn’t the answer.
@@Justquitalready The Democrats who I really like are Marianne, Tulsi, and Andrew. I think Elizabeth Warner is going to come out of the pack of democrats. She is too sharp, and she will fight Trump to the end. Unfortunately I think Trump is going to win again, unless the country really goes into a recession (they said on the show).
Because so many people are trained to receive her like that. Nuance is on life support in this country's political discussion, and there aren't enough adults in the mainstream it seems, to be able to separate the messenger from the actual message.

she just brought me to tears. I'm a 49 year-old male, and she is so eloquent in her thoughts and words. And she's correct about the root of the problem, as well as self-interest in manufacturers. She may not get the nomination, but all other candidates need to heed her insight
Farnad Darnell I’m a 49 year old female and I’ve cried several times seeing her speak. It’s the energy behind her, coming through her voice, her words. When she spoke about reparations in the debate and the whole place cheered, I got GOOSEBUMPS!
Same here. She is pictured as an esoteric weirdo by some, but that and having a wholistic view on the world is not the same. She doesn't want to treat symptoms, she wants to get rid of the cause of the problems.
I do too, which also makes me a little cautious 😏 Sometimes people can make complete sense as they lead you into ridiculousness. Maybe it's the association as Oprah's "spiritual advisor" ... which I know is a boon to a lot of people, but for me ... I just think of the quack doctors Oprah has endorsed, and so I get hesitant. So whether Williams is a quack or not, I don't know, but she at least seems very honest, and forward thinking ... and yes, I like when people look at the broader picture, find the root of the problem, and use that in the solutions process - don't chop a head, kill the hydra. I also think that she's definitely the candidate to keep an eye on, because she dedinitely seems to be relating to people. And this dismissive attitude the establishment is giving her reeks of 2015 dismissals of Trump (I know I did). As "crazy" as she sounds to some, with all this talk of love, and "hey, how about we help eachother instead of hurting eachother," and her flowery speech (and somewhat checkered past beliefs I've only read snippets of so far), I do think she's possibly the most electable against Trump, not just for the fatigue issue that Bill brings up here, but because she's talking about the same problems that a lot of his supposed base are actually dealing with ... and she's approaching the race issue in the U.S. from a stance that I think a lot of his base can identify with more - it's not your fault, your country has let you down in educating you on its own history. The only "people" she really attacks are corporations and global industries.
Like all we need is love and like good vibes and stuff and we will self heal as a country that and getting all insane liberals deported to Cuba or Venezuela.
You falling into the trap of "First impressions", something I never understood, is your problem first and foremost. I have never understood why people conjure the near-totality of ones personality simply by their first impressions. I may sound like a douche; a delusional arrogant bullocks of a chap, but I have never taken any regard for the exactness of first impressions and find it extremely odd why it is others do so. Please stop it. People are complex.
In reality, she has zero chance at the nomination. Although, she does say the truth as she sees it. We need someone who has the experience and knowledge of government. Maryann should run for congress first to get the experience needed to be competent at governing. We do not hire incapable people with no experience to the jobs business has to offer. Why should the white house be any different?
Larry Garland she has run for Congress. I suppose she’s seen what’s happened since and has set her sights a bit higher. I am sure she knows that only one president has ever gone directly from the House to the presidency.
He cut her off, dismissing her important points as a "stump speech". What she was getting at was the elephant in the room among all political candidates, and what many economists have been acknowledging for years: the US has become an oligopoly and what used to be capitalism has morphed into corporatism. It's nothing to dismiss or roll your eyes at. The money in politics, corruption, corporate greed, and exponentially rising inequality is making us sick at the individual and societal level. EDIT: As I mentioned below, I acknowledge that these points aren't new to most of us (despite silence from the vast majority of Republicans and corporate Dems). What is novel is that we are hearing them in the mainstream media, and with the (systemic) emphasis they deserve. If Bill is going to give different viewpoints a platform, he should at least allow someone to finish making a key point (which, for her - contrary to the usual political platitudes - are deeply important fundamental issues to be addressed). It's not that Warren, Sanders, or Gabbard haven't connected some of these dots or fought for real change - but the way she's expressing it (so holistically) is refreshing. And I'm glad that, if nothing else, she has a platform to express these thoughts.
MsZephyra it's sad , but anytime someone even mentions money in politics, or the fact that rich people/corporations have great influence in politics, he immediately steers the conversation away. probably because he gave obama a million dollars & is part of that system, same reason he never has anyone from The Young Turks, because there whole thing is getting money out of politics & he isnt as liberal on that position.
to be fair, you're not the host of a TV show that is conscious of time limitations, having to think on your feet, and having to hit one more important point about mental health and let her talk about it before the allotted time was up. Plus, she made her point and repeated it. We all heard it. Hell, Maher could have had a different guest entirely in that seat, but he wanted her voice to be heard and give support to many of her ideas. Beyond that, is there anyone you know who is unaware of the money in politics and corruption?
Jon Lee ……………… One person's 'stump speech' is another one's manifesto . What made FDR and JFK so effective in messaging to a broad audience. Reagan had that ability, too, I must admit ( though wrong about most of what he said ) . Conversely, a 'stump speech' can be pure bullshit, as with trump and W Bush before .
People dismiss folks like her as "kooks" but she's actually quite intelligent and speaks the truth on most issues. Some of her ideas may raise some eyebrows and I dont see her as being president but she deserves to be listened to without being mocked.
Holly Lisa I love her. All are controversial subjects cos the corporate media is trying to turn people away from her to misjudge her. Marianne has said she’s for Vaccines, but she is NOT in favor of Big Pharma doing the research. She feels the research & testing must be done by independent forces cos Big Pharma has its own interests for profit. She has been involved with the AIDS movement since 1983, at the height of all the stigma. She personally founded organizations to help, feed & care of dying gay men when nobody was willing to treat, assist or hear them.. She prayed WITH them as she offered comfort & support doing the 80’s & 90’s. And has never made AIDS into something that the corporate media has tried to mischaracterize her as! As for anti-depressants, we have ALLOWED Big Pharma to medicalize human despair in favor of sheer & mighty profit increments. We have made doctors become drug-pushers, while those very same doctors get bonuses for maximum amounts of prescriptions given by month. Gynecologists even prescribe anti-depressants. And do not let me go into kids being targeted by this machine.. While anti-depressants has its place in society, & I do think we can & should continue the use for anyone who needs it, it should be a quick-fix unless absolutely needed. Marianne Williamson is completely sane, as opposed to the established that is literally - insane..
I haven't read her policy on it, but there's another reason why medication like anti-depressants are preferred over other treatment methods. In general, there are two ways to treat psychologic issues: pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. The current compensation program for doctors now supports the quick fix antidepressant prescription, rather than psychotherapy. Psychotherapy has many forms, but they are all time and resource intensive, and are poorly compensated compared to pharmacotherapy. That is why psychiatric doctors and psychological people (non-MD graduate) who are specialized in psychotherapy are rare nowadays.
@@taitruong968 I fully agree. Anti-depressants should be used as a short term solution and only in combination with therapy. Anti-depressants won't get you better and when you stop taking them you are where you were before. My therapist once said: Anti-depressants help you to get your head out of water, but to get back on dry land you need therapy.
Wow. Is she smart and clear and precise. She is a mature thinking person. And she really snapped the conversation into focus when Bill first tried to make light of her agenda. She should be discussing things with people from the other viewpoint who can discuss and allow our society to go forward.
Have to admit.. she makes a whole hellava lot of sense!!! To solve a problem, not just shore it up in order for companies to make money in our capitalistic society, you have to look at the underlying causes.
@@penyarol83 Why do you hate America's success so much? This attitude is pushing people right into Trump's arms in 2020. It will be a Republican landslide like 1972 and 1984.

Marianne speaks to the human spirit within us, no matter the political party. The “crazy eccentric weirdo hippie lady” label will soon fade away as the universal truth that Marianne speaks about will resonate deeply within each one of us.
Marianne Williamson is a visionary speaking in broad, universal terms that hopefully more ppl will begin to comprehend. It's the solutions born of true vision which get executed by the seasoned wonks, whom she'd certainly appoint to her cabinet. Everyone in politics today is a "seasoned politician" steeped in the minutia of legislating and policy. And that's great- we need such minds! The problem is it's been nothing but wonks and bureaucrats from top to bottom in D.C. for like... ever, and that is, arguably, EXACTLY what got Trump elected! What we need in Washington is a visionary with worker bees making it happen. What we need is someone who can inspire us about the future. And Marianne can do that! I 100% trust she'd surround herself with the smartest of the wonks to iron out the details of a peaceful revolution. I've no doubt at all! I think after a third debate media will start to take her seriously and engage with her more respectfully. But she only stands a chance of continuing to tip the needle of political discourse toward the arc of human decency if we each give a little push. She's anti-corp funding, so it's a grassroots campaign. If anyone's moved to do so for pure entertainment value or out of a serious desire for a deeper political discourse, just a single dollar donation to her campaign will keep her going. I think she's down something like 10,000 donations down right now. #justdoit :D www.marianne2020.com/
This interview illustrates what the core problem of today's TV culture is: No one has the time anymore to listen to or talk about complex topics and nuance. Not even Bill Maher.
Joe Roman, Dave Rubin, Eric/Bret Weinstein....great long form discussions. She was on Rubin and made good points. Her reparations points are off, though. The US federal government did not support slavery...and it wasn’t formed until 1789. Northern states outlawed slavery by 1805. Federal government had authority to stop international trade of slaves and outlawed it by 1809. It was the Southern and Mid-Atlantic states that had slaves. Under the belief that slavery was a state’s rights issue, the federal government could not change it. For that reason, it is logically difficult to lay the blame of slavery on the federal government. When Americans of Japanese heritage were interned during WWII, the federal government did it, so a federal government payment made sense.
Superman Saunders - What are you talking about? The American government was only formed in 1789. Slavery ended in 1865. That is 76 years. Anything else, go to England, Europe, the Caribbean, South America, and Africa. You cannot hold America’s federal government accountable for things the states did. You cannot hold America’s federal government accountable for things that happened before the government was even in existence.
@HKZ P You are a divider. She supports Medicare-for-All just not a chaotic immediate switch to that plan but a gradual migration using the public option as the catalyst. That is a perfectly legitimate option for moving to Medicare-for-All in a sane way versus the chaotic upending some of the other candidates are discussing.
Bill was spot on when he said what separates Marianne from the other candidates is she talks about the root problems....why America is so unhealthy, the American involvement in the destabilizing of Latin America. What she says about defense contractors, the pharmaceutical industry and corporate interests is so fucking true. Every time she's done an interview, this lady has been brilliant. 👏🙌👍
They all repeat sayings..."3 people own more wealth than the bottom half of the country" - Bernie. "Our biggest priority is getting Trump out" - Biden. If it's true and it works, why change it?
She's a fraud unfortunately. I liked her up until she said (in the debate) that she doesn't support Medicare for All and was worried about being judged by Republicans. It's a character.
Ishkur23 Far from it. She wants the best scientists from around the world to join her to tackle the legitimate concerns with scientific evidence & facts. She is holistic, sure She is spiritual, yes - but far from being anti-science.
@@Ishkur23, nope... your wrong. You should research her background. She's into preventable health care, not sick care, she into transitioning to a clean sustainable environment, free education for all (other countries do this... not a big deal), Free health care for all (other countries do this.... not a big deal), transition to clean air, water, etc.. Make peace with the world... no need to occupy 100 countries and steal their resources. Have an ethical and moral government. Everything she stands for is possible... most people are too myopic and corrupt to want real change. Gosh, cancer was cured over 50 years ago... but, the doctors don't want you to know??? They rather children suffer than provide real proven solutions... because, we are all about money.

@HKZ P Give it a rest. Everyone does not have to think EXACTLY like you to be considered a progressive. There are varying degrees to every political affiliation. Requiring that everyone think EXACTLY like you is requiring that people give up their personal identity, the textbook definition of joining a cult. Most Americans are not interested in that nonsense. The sharing of ideas, respectful debate and compromise is our tradition and we are not changing that just because Bernie has convinced so many of you that hate is the best politics.
She won't she is still polling at less than half a percent. She is at best a sideshow amusement for the press right now and already being dogged on her loopy ideas.
@@New_Blue_2 And those same fuckers are trying to get Joe Status Quo Hoe Biden elected. Including Bill which is weird considering he interviewed Marianne who is closer to a Warren than a Biden

HKZ P She supports it but with glide path. People who insist on it being their way or the highway are going to be disappointed that most people don’t want their way. So strange how you m4a folks demonize and vilify anyone who has plans for universal healthcare that doesn’t fit their (Bernie’s) way. I’m starting to feel those folks should “go fuck themselves”.
HKZ P Oh, I forgot. Let’s vote for Bernie, he’s the only one with the magic wand that will force all the republicans to put through m4a when they have wanted to destroy ACA and wouldn’t even allow the public option. It’s not like I don’t need healthcare but I understand political realities and we’re more likely to get universal healthcare with a realistic glide path not a four year turn over the incredibly complex healthcare system. It’s not that I support Marianne as the nominee, I just think she has some good things to say and don’t feel the need to shit on everyone who isn’t my preferred candidate.
My vote is for Marianne, she gets real and goes deeper with our problems in the US. She has great policies, go read them and listen. The changes she wants to make will make a great future for America.

YOU should "stop lying" to protect a dangerously deranged fucking IDIOT. .... (P.S. I realize you weren't actually lying .... you're just an ignorant shit for brains loudmouth).
Yeah except for her BS, anti-scientific ideas about depression. Also her tendency to tell other candidates to stop talking about policy ideas is crap. We should be having a lively internal debate about policy to help develop the best possible platform and to inform voters.
Thank you @steve jessemey ... ignore the haters replying to your comment. Many of us appreciate more that think like us and want to see love and unity over division and hate.
I think the worst thing is how everyone makes fun of her for being too "new age" and lovey dovey. I watch a lot of late night programming which constantly mocks her and it kind of informs the way I view candidates, from a very shallow perspective. Same way they make fun of Biden for being too old, and Bernie for being too angry, etc. The democratic party keeps cannibalizing its own.
I was surprised and impressed with her! She didn't come across as the witchy, hippie, pie in the sky candidate that the soundbites from the debates made her out to be. She was fairly grounded and was knowledgable of all the most important issues facing the country. I like her. She won't get anywhere near the presidency, but she's a good person. And it's nice to see Bill agree with her, let alone give her a platform to speak, I enjoyed this interview.

You can tell Marianne was a bit insulted by Bill comparing her work in a way to Scientology and he wasn't really thoughtful enough when it came to giving her more time to make her points so she had to come back to them after his interruption. However she was very calm even though you could tell she wasn't happy with how him or Anderson Cooper have mischaracterized her and her work. A lot of people keep mistakenly assuming her to be this sort of a loony person who believes in weird new age religious mysticism, but if you spend some time to hear her out she actually comes across as quite a wise and intelligent person with a spiritual and compassionate side to her. I think she is a very inspirational person even if you don't agree with her on everything.
She is too good, honest, and sincere for the American political system as it stands currently. It would eat her alive, much as it did Jimmy Carter. I think she'll be great in some other position, if we manage to elect a kind president.
She is a kook. Bill likes her because like him she is a "vaccine skeptic". I don't think trading one president who doesn't understand science (anything?) for another who doesn't get it is a good plan.
@@Celtic_Thylacine Watch her newest MSNBC interview, she addresses vaccination. She wants independent research done on vaccinations without influence from big pharmaceutical companies. She appears to be more skeptical of how vaccination is regulated rather than actually being skeptical of the science. That is hardly being a kook, even if she might be wrong on this topic she is nuanced enough to see that vaccination is still important and isn't just some crazy anti-vaxxer.
I think Bill said that because of the author supposedly channeling Jesus, but he didn't realize that jerks on Twitter have been calling Marianne a "scientologist" because of her comments on anti-depressants and she's been trying to fight that back.
She has been getting some bad press in some places - but she is far more intelligent than many give her credit for - and has some really unique and useful ideas - Bill Maher is tough on guests but she impressed me
How do we get Yang, Tulsi, and Williamson to be our new electoral body? Yang as Prez fixing domestic. Tulsi as National Security Advisor, and Williamson as Press Secretary
Nah she is a loon. She would be consulting the 5th moon of Zelyron while China was nuking us. No way in hell this ding bat should ever have her hand on any power.
I don't think people will be voting for her, but she's fresh air in this world of partisan politics. There is difference between being spiritual and religious. Spirituality is what were all lacking now, because religion is just tool to fool masses. Yes, we need to hear her.
I love Bernie, I love Bernie, I love Bernie--- I have to remind myself when I hear her these days. she is so freaking great. I want her to be president. I want her intelligence to lead the country.
Yeah the language she uses is "Oh god, another psudo-scientist with 'spiritual', 'hollistic' & 'higher power' crap talk" But when you listen, she does go after the issues root, and I have to remember that just because I see the world in a different way to her, dosn't mean we aren't on the same side or after the same thing. I just call thing like "higher power" where we love each other "Not being a dickhead to people and being nice" with nothing to do with "higher powers".
I have to admit, when given time to speak, she does make some valid points. A far cry (in my mind) from the few seconds of what I initially thought was crazy talk in the first debate. We as a society addresses problems after the fact in a knee jerk fashion. Addressing the cause instead of the symptoms will undoubtedly, ultimately fix the problem.

I've pretty much liked her in every talk show interview I've seen her in. Even if she's eccentric and unlikely to secure a nomination, at least she's talking about something different and tackling issues from a new perspective. It almost makes me interested in politics again.
Jacques Peterson Marianne and Andrew Yang 🤯😻. Could you imagine, (Marianne) Yin and (Andrew) Yang?! The perfect balance of soul and physical progress 😭💓🤗
@HKZ P a. you've not done your homework. Some ppl just like to parrot what they read on the internet by some other lazy constituent who's failed in their due diligence as a responsible voter. Don't be one of them. b. i don't know what you mean by "Democratic version of Donald Trump". What I do believe is he is something altogether different, begat by a failed convention of politics-as-usual. my argument is that conventional politicians aren't likely to beat him. And c. actually, the framers of our Constitution had the foresight to know that politics could become so convoluted that some of the Citizenry would lose sight of the simplicity-of-duty intended to protect us from fascism, so within the document they imposed just three eligibility requirements on the Presidency of the United States- age (at least 35), residency (13 years), and citizenship-that must be satisfied at the time of taking office. So, Williamson's in. :) Besides, Marianne is the visionary here speaking in broad, universal terms. And in reality, It's the solutions born of vision which get executed by seasoned wonks, whom she'd appoint with discretion to her cabinet. You see, everyone in politics today is a heady wonk deep into the minutia of legislating and policy. And that's great- there is a place for them in DC. The problem is it's been nothing but wonks and bureaucrats from top to bottom in D.C. for like... ever, and that is, arguably, EXACTLY what got Trump elected. No, what we need in Washington is a visionary with worker bees making it happen. What we need is someone who can inspire us about the future. And Marianne Williamson can do that. @HKZ Pit's not about Trump any more than it's about Marianne, rather the forces they're expertly wielding- they are mere messengers; one brings bad and the other good news. i understand that it's tempting to parrot what one reads on the internet by some other lazy constituent who's failed in their due diligence as a responsible voter to properly vet a candidate, but it's ill-advised. The truth is Marianne Williamson's not an anti-vaxer, anti-meds or anti-science. All of that is designed to keep you from seeing the truth. The political establishment wants it that way. But don't be that guy. Due diligence is paramount when vetting these candidates. We can't afford to mess this one up. “Williamson talks about politics with a rare, refreshing and an unequaled moral vision. They are the symptoms of a nation that has lost its confidence, its purpose, and its soul. Williamson has a message that the country should heed. America is broken, and it needs healing that no “wonkiness” can provide.” www.cc.com/video-clips/3oqp9j/the-daily-show-with-trevor-noah-marianne-williamson---running-for-president-on-a-morality-driven-platform---extended-interview

I'm a conservative, but she'll always be my favorite author. I've read all of her books. Even though I am conservative politically and she's very left politically I do think that some of her ideas are fantastic. We do need to look deeper as to why people are sick. Most people go to the doctor for pills to help with their symptoms, which doesn't fix the underline cause of whats going on.
4:43 I loved how she took back her time, respectfully, and finished her thought. It is such a subtle but powerful moment :)
When you criticize corporations, you are biting the hand that feeds Bill, which is why Maher wanted to brush her comment aside.
Also if you notice how she placed her hands on his to stop him? That’s such a mom thing to do, lol. “Listen child, you cannot have this candy bar now; dinner will be ready in 15 mins.”

First impressions are sometimes wrong. The more I hear her the more I like her points.
Same here. She is pictured as an esoteric weirdo by some, but that and having a wholistic view on the world is not the same. She doesn't want to treat symptoms, she wants to get rid of the cause of the problems.
I know! I didn't want to like her, but I do.
She's got my vote! Literally the only one addressing the deeper CAUSE of what's going on this country rather than focusing on bandaids and symptoms.
I agree wholeheartedly.
A (write-in) vote for her is a vote for tRump.
The #1 cause of all issues is money in politics. Make it illegal and everything else will fall into place
Noam Chomsky has been saying this for decades but no one in the mainstream media pays any attention to him.
MsZephyra
it's sad , but anytime someone even mentions money in politics, or the fact that rich people/corporations have great influence in politics, he immediately steers the conversation away.
probably because he gave obama a million dollars & is part of that system, same reason he never has anyone from The Young Turks, because there whole thing is getting money out of politics & he isnt as liberal on that position.
Amen to the message and heartfelt compliments to your outstanding writing skills.
to be fair, you're not the host of a TV show that is conscious of time limitations, having to think on your feet, and having to hit one more important point about mental health and let her talk about it before the allotted time was up. Plus, she made her point and repeated it. We all heard it. Hell, Maher could have had a different guest entirely in that seat, but he wanted her voice to be heard and give support to many of her ideas.
Beyond that, is there anyone you know who is unaware of the money in politics and corruption?
@@joralemonvirgincreche Noam has been receiving flack since he exposed the corporation media in manufacturing consent.
She's one of my spiritual teachers/authors/gurus. She makes SO MUCH sense with our country's issues.
She's back!
GREAT person , wonderful presence , very authentic ... I really like her :)))))))
How was that a 'stump speech'? She was right on target.
cuz Bill is a corrupt elite
Stump speech definition: a speech repeatedly delivered by a politician during their campaign for election or re-election to public office.
She was just repeating the names of various sectors of the economy. It had ZERO substance. Dont be a sheep.
I thought Bill said "scum speech."
People dismiss folks like her as "kooks" but she's actually quite intelligent and speaks the truth on most issues. Some of her ideas may raise some eyebrows and I dont see her as being president but she deserves to be listened to without being mocked.
This
Love her 💜 especially for calling out antidepressants as being over prescribed
Unfortunately she’s only using that topic as a shield of armor to hide her own intoxications. That woman is higher than Jacks magical bean stalk.
@@taitruong968 good point, this site might be helpful for some people projects.propublica.org/docdollars/
@@taitruong968 I fully agree. Anti-depressants should be used as a short term solution and only in combination with therapy. Anti-depressants won't get you better and when you stop taking them you are where you were before.

Wow. Is she smart and clear and precise. She is a mature thinking person. And she really snapped the conversation into focus when Bill first tried to make light of her agenda. She should be discussing things with people from the other viewpoint who can discuss and allow our society to go forward.

“Williamson talks about politics with a rare, refreshing and an unequaled moral vision.
While her competitors fight over how to fund health care, Williamson wants “radical truth-telling, not just to talk about healthcare but to talk about why we’re so sick all the time.” She wants a politics that goes “much deeper and speaks to the heart.”
Williamson has pointed out the deep spiritual impoverishment of our politics and culture.
The peace and tranquility of home life are a shambles, spoiled equally by divorce and the “two-income trap.”
Happiness has material and spiritual conditions, but rule by policy wonkery has destroyed both and then supplied opiates-both literal and figurative-to make life tolerable in the aftermath. Ours is a time of endless choice: a feast of entertainment is available to almost anyone. Travel is cheaper and more accessible than ever. At the same time, America has never been more sad, angry, and deranged.
These are not the vital signs of a thriving culture. They are the symptoms of a nation that has lost its confidence, its purpose, and its soul. Williamson has a message that the country should heed. America is broken, and it needs healing that no “wonkiness” can provide.”

COMMON SENSE america FOR MARIANNE WILLIAMSON!!!
YES!!
Marianne speaks to the human spirit within us, no matter the political party.
The “crazy eccentric weirdo hippie lady” label will soon fade away as the universal truth that Marianne speaks about will resonate deeply within each one of us.
...and peace will guide the planet. And love will steer the stsrs.
@@StrategicWealthLLC Still the federal government's fault. They knew it was wrong but they let it go on for centuries.

She's a fraud unfortunately. I liked her up until she said (in the debate) that she doesn't support Medicare for All and was worried about being judged by Republicans. It's a character.

@HKZ P why is Medicare for all the only option? What's wrong with keeping private insurance which is working for a lot of people?
I have to repeat a point made by A P: First impressions are sometimes wrong. The more I hear her the more I like her points.
Such a wonderful soul! Too bad that corporates/politicians r so merciless😣
Yeah she's a bit eccentric, but she deserves alot more respect than she's getting.
Eccentric or authentic?
Essentric how?
I think the worst thing is how everyone makes fun of her for being too "new age" and lovey dovey. I watch a lot of late night programming which constantly mocks her and it kind of informs the way I view candidates, from a very shallow perspective. Same way they make fun of Biden for being too old, and Bernie for being too angry, etc. The democratic party keeps cannibalizing its own.
eccentric? Maby as a policitcian ...because we are so used to them lying and spinning stories. So...yes, honesty might be a bit eccentric
She is a cult leader offering cheap religion to the culturally and intellectually adrift. Thank you postmodernism...
I couldn't agree more! If you really believe that, then you can actually participate in the infusion of depth to the conversation right now! “Williamson talks about politics with a rare, refreshing and an unequaled moral vision.

We need a Department of Peace.
To enforce peace?
The department of defense formally known as the department of war can become the department of peace. This is some George Orwell type of shit.
That would be the State Department.
Peacekeeping troops
@@joebarr725 Clearly the State Department has mixed agendas and has overwhelmingly proved itself incapable of promoting peace. It is actually the department of fun parties and war profiteering. We wouldn't need a Department of Peace if they weren't so compromised by commerce,. but that's not going to purged. The Department of Peace would have one sole objective and independent powers of investigation.
The US should also join the ICC and Israel should be forced to declare it's nuclear stockpiles and also join the ICC to receive another dime or military help of any kind.
I love reading the positive comments about her!!! It puts me in such a great mood. She is the light in our darkness, & we need her sunlight more than anything right now! I would rather have the love she talks about & gives out any day than trumps hate & evilness. From the comments, the people are screaming for positivity again & it's heartbreaking. This THING in the WH is killing us!
Gen Glo 100% agree. I feel the energy building with her!
Probably the most authentic candidate
Yes, authentically wacky. She's been peddling her new age recycled nonsense for YEARS. Do a LITTLE research for cripes sake.
She is very authentic.
Get Real Politics trump isn’t authentic, he is fake as fuck, a walking cliche.
@@GillAgainsIsland12 Just because something is different and unfamiliar to you, and too difficult for you to understand, doesn't make it wacky nonsense. Seems to me that it's you who needs to do research...on this topic and many others.
Authentic bullshit.
She seems very genuine.
She has the needed temperament.
She has been getting some bad press in some places - but she is far more intelligent than many give her credit for - and has some really unique and useful ideas - Bill Maher is tough on guests but she impressed me
believing in each other is MUCH harder for people than believing in an unseen deity
AMEN !
Love Love Love her. Thank you Bill Maher for having her on your show.
How do we get Yang, Tulsi, and Williamson to be our new electoral body? Yang as Prez fixing domestic. Tulsi as National Security Advisor, and Williamson as Press Secretary
Buttigieg as Secretary of State or VP?
Dream team!
@@Pheebs77 Yes!
Please, voters. Listen to her. She’s wise, strong, doesn’t back down from bullies like trump. She’s the candidate we need to win the White House.
You’re an idiot then.
she is the real deal
curtisnucmed ……….. 100% . Marianne is also bold in pointing out the ROT of nascent fascism that is behind trump . She is UNAFRAID !
I love Bernie, I love Bernie, I love Bernie--- I have to remind myself when I hear her these days. she is so freaking great. I want her to be president. I want her intelligence to lead the country.
I wasn't so sure about her but after this she speaks truth.
Yesssssss speaking the #bigtruth @mariannewilliamson!!!!
Can u imagine her vs Trump = light vs dark. Epic! For the soul of America! Best movie ever!!!
Yang vs Trump would be incredible.
@Buttercup - you're right mrs. Buttercup;)
@@jltrack - but, it would be surface level talking. He could easily out talk Yang. She's too ethereal: one doesn't know where to stab.
Jay Torr out talk Yang? WTF you talking about. Trump is dumb as shit.
It's like real life Star Wars. It'd be epic if she won against Trump.

Jacques Peterson Marianne and Andrew Yang 🤯😻. Could you imagine, (Marianne) Yin and (Andrew) Yang?! The perfect balance of soul and physical progress 😭💓🤗
She would be the Perfect one to debate Trump: her language vs his lingo.
@HKZ P a. you've not done your homework. :)
Besides, Marianne is the visionary here speaking in broad, universal terms.

America is broken, and it needs healing that no “wonkiness” can provide.” www.cc.com/video-clips/3oqp9j/the-daily-show-with-trevor-noah-marianne-williamson---running-for-president-on-a-morality-driven-platform---extended-interview

Seems like a plan, it’s a Democrat’s turn for that
It'd be great if we get a "best of" candidate of all the democratic contenders. Starting with the $1000 a month...
Finally! Someone with common sense and the fact that Bill agreed with her! We're on the right path. Let's not f it up!
Marianne hasn't qualified for the third debate yet. We still need a few thousand more new donors. A $1 donation would be sufficient and greatly appreciated. Marianne2020
