I really love bulgarians, they are my favorite civ. Sadly the lack of eco bonus makes it hard to compete with strong civs on specific maps. Hera even listed them as low tier in his overall tierlist. Broke my heart
I think they're cool too but really not top tier not a great eco and nothing is too op other than the konnik but konnik is enough to make them above average boy do i love konniks
I have never played the game, but bulgarians seem like the thing bulgarians will like. I'm an example, cuz it seems really fun, but I dont like strategy games.
Hopefully getting Tatars next. I came to see a Tatars overview when they got recently buffed and realized he hadn’t done it yet 11. Pretty sure Keshiks are one of the most cost efficient UUs now can’t wait to see the calcs
did a little analysis video myself after the buff and 17 keshiks vs 10 paladins the keshiks won with 8 full hp units remaining. 16 vs 10 is probably more equal in terms of resources, but even then the keshiks still win in castle or post imperial age. except vs halberdiers and maybe heavy/imperial camels, keshiks trade into almost any unit and come out on top in resources. keshisk have been this crazy since december when the resources were reduced. the train time reduction helps a lot for making them a castle age viable unit. imperial it isn't as crazy. edit: and i just tried 13 FU elite keshisk vs 10 FU generic heavy camels. which is about equal resources. only two camels survived with a combined total of 112 hp. the keshiks generated 64 gold in the engagement. basically making the resource trade even.
Jimmeh Boy not surprised to see this, I’ve been streamrolling pretty hard by starting out with CA until I have maybe 30 FU, by then I usually have a castle or two up then do a switch to keshiks as the cost efficient meatshield. The 700f 900g Elite keshik upgrade isn’t that much more than getting hussar and with their cheap cost it’s sick. I’m only 1100 so maybe this won’t work as well at higher levels but damn does it feel strong
Jimmeh Boy id be interested to see them in a matchup vs elephants, usually seems impossible to take a good fight against them massed up. I don’t expect keshiks to do particularly well but i could be wrong
can you maybe add a sort of "weak against, good against, good with" segment at the end of the video? like for example these are bad against teutons and work well with spanish cause they seem kind of reliant on gold units. that would be pretty cool
Wayyy too many variables to ever say this civ is always good against that one, really.. Theres a reason pro players will usually answer 'it depends' if asked such a question while streaming :)
@@MrDiehardNoob yeah but i think in this case for example theyd seem to have a pretty bad match against Teutons for example, cause those counter pretty much everything they can muster exept for the cav archers, but even those can be countered with siege or just slowpushing with castles.
For guy who played this game religiously since it launched in the late 90's, i wouldn't have imagined that i would learn anything new by now, but you man showed me that there is alot of things that i didn't realize were there, so i respect you for that and love what you are doing. Also on side note would you be interested in making a video about "unit queue" or the limit of commands that you could give for perhaps a villager and a military unit.
Excellent video! Just one thing about when you mention Bagains tech's cost: don't forget you already got militia line upgrades automatically, so when talking about costs, probably could have made a cost comparison to all the upgrades(I know you mentioned earlier in the video, but you didn't put them side by side later on) so while the cost of Bagains is a drawback, I believe it would be offset by the militia line upgrade costs.
