I love you
Thank you!!
does this have a custom gate to stop it going into the up position also?
@@jimbodrew4776 No it does not. As you can see in the video, we can still push the lever up.
How easy is cammys TigerKnee instant dive dick with that setup?
From accidentally jumping to accidentally not jumping because of muscle memory
And you need to just frame between stick b and button on thump
Gonna be walking and randomly jabbing on every safe jump setup for a while
Muscle memory imo is an easy excuse for not changing habits. I know because it’s an excuse I’ve used. It’s totally within every players capability to retrain themselves and reprogram their muscle memory, but we use laziness and excuses to avoid it
That said, there may be other pitfalls. But imo it is usually worth it to change your input methods controls layout if you think it overall has benefits to your play or execution
@@BurnsyRuns You're absolutely right
@@BurnsyRuns Just WOW! You destroyed them & their billions of likes by like-minded lazies.
Read this, guys. It's the truth.
This is the equivalent to tap jump/stick jump off in Smash. I love it
Just what I was thinking
Never really thought of it like that noice!
Yep, I love jumping with x or y, better mobility
@@saulgarcia1664 facts
And if you double input jump its an auto short hop@saulgarcia1664
That's clever, accidental jumps have cost me so much 😂
Especially when it comes to "full-circle" motion inputs for most command grabs?
@@GanicoGSx haha well for me it's just cuz I'm bad at the game 🤣
@@lukeedge9557 Ah, I see.
So instead of practicing, just abuse hardware cheats.
@@OberynTheRedViper customization is not cheating
“No more accidental jumps”. Basically a wet dream
Tap jump off 😂
I was never able to *actually* get good at smash untill i was able to turn tap jump off. So maybe this is my trick to finally get good at a 2d fighter
@@tedofuentes6525 in fairness this will only matter on characters who use TK inputs or 360 motions, which is not most of the cast in a game like Street Fighter but in other games it's more common
Jugadores de Zangief: ☠️☠️☠️
Omg bad idea...this idea will make Zangorf a god...
@@shadowzx10no it means you cant spd or 720 unless you time the button press right
@@Zadamanimi think spd is fine, but 720? That is going to feel weird
@@neodeli8127 doing a single SPD would be fine but it's not uncommon to do additional spins as a grappler while mashing the button to get multiple attempts at inputting SPD in some situations
Hitbox players finna get a shortcut
Even the most skilled plays have input errors at times. This shit is dope.
You just filled my head with ideas, thank you
So smart! Amazing job guys!
Jumping when u want a haduken is heart breaking 😂
Gotta clean up those inputs (this is coming from somebody that had to do just that to learn Chun's stance combos, and to cancel juggle combos into Super on landing)
Git gud
And have a gud time
Pick a top tier
@@Goodsuh you have not played a game with a lot of TK motions. Shit is real annoying in marvel when characters have different Tiger Knee input timings
Crazy this isn't already a normal thing.
Wanna try this myself.
It wasnt already a thing because you already only have so many buttons to use for attacks , you wouldnt want to replace a kick with jump for example
Skill issue 😂
@@deddrz2549 What do you mean? There are clearly 12 buttons on this mod. For SF6 you need 8.
@@chadgrimwell8380if you’re so skill why aren’t u winning tournament money lil fella?

BRO!!!, this unlocked a memory for me, I played almost any fighting game with my XBOX controller, I changed UP for RT and I never had false jumps.
Thank you for the lesson sensei
Clever!
Definitely should be considered a staple controller once someone comes and shows off its potential in high-level Tekken and Street Fighter.
I don't think it would be good in Tekken
@@rexflores8461
As someone who can use both keyboard and arcade stick.
This would be excellent for Tekken;
Flick the arcade stick then back and 2 on the same hand for TJU, same concept with 13f electrics, on P1 side it's relatively easy to go from forward neutral down in 3f total and pressing forward and 2 on the same hand for 14f electrics, iDash moves will be more consistent.
A bit difficult would be true iWR but you don't see(or need) that anyway.
Advantages of both stick(dp, circular motions) and leverless(precision) on top of using two hands for movement, in a movement-heavy game.
There's plenty reasons why it would be great for Tekken.
@@rexflores8461everyone would become Mishima mains overnight with this
O really
@@UltimateBallaPOMit’s good for a few characters but not on everybody.
That's actually a pretty ingenious idea I may try that.
That is so smart
At the end of a sweaty set, getting anti aired by a accidental jump in crushes my soul
360s won't feel nearly as natural but I think this is a really smart concept. I used to get accidental jumps on stick all the time. It's why I switched to keyboard
You eventually get good at it but it's pretty tough because you have to have a good connection with both hands
I imagine this setup wouldn’t be for someone who plays characters with 360s.
funny enough I think its something that couls work well enough with 360s, just press the button after a half circle @@STN_MN
@@acertainnemesisyeah that’s exactly what they were showing in the video lol
I immediately thought about good luck using Zangief. Still a good idea though.
Keep up the great work!
That's actually genius.
THATS GENIUS!
Good thing that this works in sf6 as well.
Accidental jumps really fkd me up in other fighting games sometimes (Skullgirls, mk) and there i could turn it off/switch the button layout.
Beautiful
These sticks and the ones you find on arcade machines are so different.
Never had no accidental jumps while playing arcade games
i mean a lot of people don't go to arcades, they don't really exist as much in the west so you have to get sticks designer to be used on console. I feel the point of the up input button is more for doing really low special inputs a lot easier, ex doing an air OTG in Marvel 3. I Also think it is conventional game deign across a lot of genres to have a jump button
no up is demented, but you won't have acidental jump, with grapplers you have press the up command to complete the grab which is cool
Vice players in KOF trying to do the air special (1236982HP): 💀
With a dedicated Up button, this is actually pretty easy.
how is kof online for xbox is it dead lobbies?
FINALLY. NOW, ILL BE PURCHASING THIS FOR SURE ❤❤❤
As a Potemkin main this pleases me greatly
Awesome vid 👍
I just started fighting games on fighcade, playing on keyboard. gonna take that advice and put jump on space bar.
Just like a Hit Box!
Great idea!
I might try this
That's Freaking Awesome!
I changed the UP to SPACE. No more accident!
That’s fire 🔥
I can see how this is good but I also think it's a good idea in the long run to learn to avoid accidental jumps rather than reinforcing bad habits like accidentally hitting up.
This is the era of quick fix. People will try anything beside correcting the root of the problem.
Do you know what "accidental" means?
@@r0000gwith practice, you learn to minimise the accidents.
When you play guitar, sometimes you accidentally hit the wrong notes, but if you practice a lot you learn to be more careful. Same thing with using arcade sticks.
@@r0000g Honestly they are right. I've played for a long time on stick, hitbox and pad. No good player is going to be accidentally jumping doing a hadoken. I wouldn't even expect an average player to make that mistake.
@@MichaelHarto imo this has other impacts that everyone has just willingly ignored, it's quite tricky to do a TK DP but with this a low to the ground air dp is much easier
I hate doing DP inputs mostly due I end it up jumping. This is like a dream to me.
So a Zangief fight stick? Gotcha!
This is good stuff here!!!
I have hitbox and a fightbox, but if I would have seen this before giving up my fight stick. I would have got it.
def the best of both worlds
@@andrewpedersen9633I still might try to get it

I love the idea of this
Perfect for Mega Man!
This will also be very handy for Guilty Gear
Yes it is!
esp for chars like baiken and axel for tk bomba/youzansen atleast for me it makes it alot easier to perform those
@@barackhussienobungusjr7351 It's essentially getting the positives of the Hit Box... but with a stick!

That was my first thought, half circle SPD lol
@@MechSlayer71 as a Gief player, this makes me emit no emotions. while standing SPD is already easy to do without jumping
Omg that lever sounds so satisfying 🤤
Hmm not a bad idea
Damnnn my man is a genius , i should definitely try this
You could always practice as a means to play without accidentally jumping, this is not a problem that needs to be solved.
Why not both?!
you do realise you can still accidentally press the button, obviously it's designed to not happen but as a guy with big hands i do this shit all the time with stuff like keyboards. I also simply think this is less about preventing accidental jumps and more getting a controller that suits you more. Fighting Games were not my first passion, that was platformers like Mario so to me it's somewhat backwards to not have a jump button, secondly a jump button means you can have a much better way of doing super and normal jumps or short and full hops, simply hold it down for different amounts of time instead of having to charge down for 4 frames and then hit up
.....That. is. GENIUS!!😮
How would you do full circle inputs for grapplers?
You don't I guess
simply hold the up input when you need to go up. Since you can do 360 inputs by just pressing four directions you can start from back>down>foward>up input and finish the input, doing a 720 input is much harder of course.
Also this functions very similar to hitbox controllers, so however you do inputs with the up key there would be the same here.
A hero, a genius, the one
I still don't understand why they don't ban these mods for the stick. They practically put a button for an action that they do with normal buttons.
? Why ban this?
Hitbox is literallly all buttons, no stick
So why ban tbis
@@austinschmidt8228because you cheating tf u mean
@@tdm6621 then what about aim assist in shooting games for controller isn't that also cheating ai is doing 60to70% of the aim for you. first controller should be banned form tornament
@@tdm6621That's just engeneering and improving on an old controller system, that "execution thing" is kinda bs, i'd rather improve controllers to have more player join and less fluky games than keeping the old status quo because of pride
Skill issue@@tdm6621
I've only played SSBU, but I can see this thing being really helpful.
They made spd easier in this game. You dont need another button. Just more time in the lab. I also dont know how you can accidentally jump doing hado motions. But that part might just be me practicing motions like crazy till i got it down since sf4.
Nobody thinks you need another button but it could be helpful for those who have this issue
@@Lee-fw5bd if you have problems scoring a lay up, they don't designate a stool for you to jump off of so you put it in easier in basketball. The more crutches you have, less you're actually learning how to play the game. And if one day tournaments force standardized peripherals (between a standard controller for the system or a standard approved arcade stick), you will see a lot of pros fall from grace. You can still cheese people online. But you're not getting better with training wheels.
@Inaluogh improvement isn't a holistic linear progression. You can improve in many ways at the same time. Having easier execution only means that you're improving less in terms of execution, but you can still improve in literally every other lane.
That's not cheesing out a victory. That's just not banging your head on an obstacle to achieve the same results. Keep in mind that the majority of players arent aiming to be top 1% EVO champs. They're just trying to have fun and have good matches. If easier execution leads to more fun and better matches, they should use the easier execution. In basketball, if the team knows you're trash at layups, they won't put you in that position. You'll be in a place that best suits your skillset. In this case, the entire team is your crutch. No shame, and it'd be unoptimal and a waste of time to force everyone to be great at layups.
Since 6 allows you to cheat the SPD with 3 directions instead of 4 this is the ideal Gief stick
like this so much~!
Its totally s very simple hack but i didn't realize i could do that. Good job.
I kind of need this!
I do that on my controls in Guilty Gear. I used to play a lot of Smash Bros, and it was recommended to play the game with a shoulder button as Jump instead of Up or X and Y. So when I play GG, I use LT as a jump button.
Brilliant ✨️💯
I do this in guilty gear strive on stick. In that game, you can just rebind movement inputs in-game
That's very interesting honestly
Nunca pensei nisso, boa idéia!
Holy i never knew i needed something so bad
i'd been testing this on keyboard for sf5 bc of my trouble with down into up charge moves. This kinda makes me very happy! i'm happy for anyone who takes the time to get used to this!

I can't believe I never thought of this when the concept is already on Smash Bros!!! This is game changer!!!

You've twisted my arm, damn you. I'll save up and buy a crossup later in the month 😮💨
I like that
Zangief licking his lips when you forget jump is a button now.
Tbh, after a long time, i don't accidentally jump often if at all, but this is a cool idea
That would be awesome
Fuck yeah that's next level shit
I need this so bad
Although i play mortal kombat i always had trouble with the joystick eith accidental jumps. Id use the d pad, but something like this would definetly make some stuff easier
I actually kinda like this, if you think about it typically in most games when you jump you push x or A. This could actually be a thing
I just realized…this is the setup I used for Smash bros. I hated joystick jump.
Accidental jumps are part of life, leaving room for errors makes matches fair and interesting.
That’s real nice
Truly never had this issue in all my years.
That's great!
This would be amazing actually
Playing Gief on that would need getting use to 😂
