I love the look of those little Starlet fans. I remember a guy under the name of "djc007" had one of these with a seized oscillator. Dont think it had the same blue blades and accents as yours though.
Yes Dan of DJC007 had one and his was the first I had seen! I have actually met Dan in person and saw his amazing collection of fans many years ago! His is the same although the oscillation was broken which is quite common on these unfortunately.
@RichieRouge206 Ah knew it.Thats so awesome man.He doing ok? I remember watching all his videos over the years. Shame that they seem to have the same flaws as those black pifco fans.
Not specifically, it was up to the user. They recommended that you clean it periodically ie take the cage off and clean the blades. But on the whole they are viewed as expendables. Like most older stuff though, the older the better the quality and engineering to start with so they last better lol
Interesting, my Starlet runs much louder than that and I must admit can limit the usability of it (especially overnight) so that’s a bit of a nice quirk for that one being quiet. Also cool to find one that still oscillates - many seize up over time!
It's very appealing indeed. I have quite a few Galaxy, Lasko and Lakewood fans that I have imported from the States. I will be doing a video in the near future about Electrostar/Lasko who made 240v fans for the Middle East markets and a few have found their way over here. I have 9" Galaxy branded as an Electrostar
@RichieRouge206 yeah I recognised my packaging instantly haha, I didn't have it for long only a couple months. When I first got it it was in great condition but needed a bit of a clean and I did oil the motor when I had it but it sat unused for a while which is probably why it was running a bit slow here. One of the spokes of the grill was broken when I got it too but I managed to glue it back on and can hardly even tell it was damaged now

Loving the content mate I'm definitely a fan fan now 😂
Lmao I've converted you to a fanatic 😋😂
Oh yeah the camera quality is much better now 👌
Good to hear man! Slowly getting the hang lol 😂
Stay off the evil bays 😂 it was a quiet fan in farneas. We're you running 30fps or 60 in that video?
Running 30FPS at the moment lol
One would be imagine literally no one takes fans apart to clean or lubricate them? Do the manufacturers recommend routine maintenance of any kind ?

Would love to own one of these one day but they just don't seem to pop up too often
I have a spare one that needs the oscillation fixing then I may be selling it

Yes they are prone to failing to oscillate. I do have a second Starlet that doesn't oscillate and is louder so maybe see if I can get that fixed.
do you still have the Vent Axia universal/standard range fans if so could you record them
I have quite a few yes. I'll feature them soon
@@RichieRouge206nice thx
Great little fan!
It is amazing the differences between fans in the UK versus fans here in the states. Did you ever find a Galaxy fan over there?

This is my exact one I sold on eBay! 😂 what are the chances of that haha. Good to see you’re happy with it
