Hopefully this does well enough to convince them people want more Sly!
I hope so too, but I doubt Sony will ever care to listen. Sly fans have been asking for years for Sly 5, but since Thieves in Time didn't' do or sell as well as the previous games, Sony is uninterested, and too greedy, to bring Sly back.
The best we’ll get is a remastered series for PS5

@williamcooper007 You guys are putting too much pressure on Sonys first party studios, suckerpunch is focusing on Ghost of tsushima 2 at the moment.
Games take time to make. The only way Sony can fulfill most gamers' wishes is to acquire more studios.
This makes me very happy. I hope 2 and 3 are added someday too.
They should just remaster the series all together make it look more modern

Sly 2 is a Gem and Sly 3 is a fun hooray
Don't forget Bentley's Hackpack as well. It means a lot to me personally and it was very fun to platinum. It's great fan service for true fans of the series. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw it actually was included in the streaming service, but since I already have all the trophies for the PS3/Vita versions, I want a dedicated PS4/PS5 version so I can get the trophies again, for a 3rd time. If you haven't tried it, give it a chance because the atmosphere in the arcade is great, the music is awesome, and those hacking minigames are a fun challenge.
If I can buy sly cooper, I’ll give it a shot since you love it so much . I don’t subscribe to premium so hopefully I can buy it. Thanks brother

This sly cooper 1 was my first ever playstation exclusive and loved it as an 11yo my childhood game 😊😊 I really want a remake of this game so bad
A remake collection of the original trilogy would be awesome too, like Crash and Spyro received.

@@theelderscrolls616 I like the 1st game too, but to be honest, I preferred the gameplay changes they brought into the rest of the games. You get to explore around the hubs more, more characters to play as, a cool job system, new powerups and gadgets, and the characters have health bars.
The best outcome/case for Sly Cooper is that a remake or remaster of the trilogy is made. I feel a the trilogy in modern engine/graphics with updated gameplay and mechanics would be amazing for the franchise.
Hopefully the other games will also be available to download someday too. I'm really tired of streaming.

It is weird that we’re getting a new design for the avatar. It could mean something. Maybe a remastered series in that art style to maybe appeal to a younger audience?
If you look at the other PSN avatars with the plus in back, it's the same art style by the same artist. So doubtful
@@TheRealJaneSeymourProbably. I would be inclined to not think too much of it but I’m still suspicious on why they picked Sly out of every franchise. That is what’s sticking out like a sore thumb.
Sly should be a dead franchise as far as Sony is concerned. Instead of picking something else, like God of War or even Resident Evil 4, they picked Sly Cooper

The avatar is a promotion for the Sly 1, why would it mean anything else? I'd assume they wanna first see the numbers of how many people will play Sly 1.

Would love to see XBox restart the back compat program and especially for Sony to follow suit. Being able to play a lot of old 360 and OG XBox games at native 4K and/or 60 fps on console is pretty incredible. Games like the Splinter Cell series, Witcher 2, Red Dead 1 (way before the recent port) and so on all at 4K. And a lot more. And there’s a ton of PS3 games, not on PC, that desparately need this treatment as they are barely hanging on from simply being lost to time. Would add a ton of value if they threw them on Plus as well. There’s just not a lot of profit in it for the work, and I’m actually still shocked XBox did that for so many years. It would be a multi year project but Sony really needs to get on this. We’ve seen a few PS2 or PSP titles but not nearly enough. Would love the old Resistance or Infamous games even just at higher res if not 60 fps.
This could mean anything, but I do hope it means sly makes a big comeback maybe with a new 5th game, but we don’t know anything yet until we get some more information on it so we have to wait and see
Ive been wanting to play the clone wars on the PS5 for a while and it's not odd its a blessing. I hope they put revenge of the sith and the Force unleashed one day

I mean it's a step in the right direction i wanted Sly Cooper on the ps5/ps4 for years now. But why aren't they just releasing the whole ps2 collection? Why is it only one game?

If the Sly 1 port is a remake, they better change the life mechanic to the one they’ve been using since the second game. I never beat the first post tutorial level because I got frustrated with Sly constantly dying in one hit.
I've been in two minds about upgrading to PS+ Premium, I have the next step down from that one, so currently no access to the classics PS3/PS2 back catalogue. More about how many games will I get from it
Tomb Raider Legends is a good TR game, it was a reboot of the series, some of the other ones around that time are a bit week.
I was looking at the PS4 catalogue yesterday and saw Max Payne on the list (the PS2 version), so downloaded that game along with a few KH games
If it’s not a new game, a total graphic remaster of the series would be sick too

I'm just happy if I can play the games on PS5, I don't want to stream the game, take out my ps2 or my ps3.
Also it'll be fun to collect the trophies again. Hopefully this one also require the level speedruns instead of the PS3 trophy which is after sly 2 literally the easiest plat trophy I've ever gotten.

I prefer 2 and 3, since those games were Sly at his peak but I’ll take what I can get.
2 and 3 are miles better than 1. But it's the first and I still think it carries weight they picked Sly regardless.

You people clearly dont have an appreciation for speedrunning and level design, because Sly 1 is one of the top best games ever made of all time when it comes to being a 3D platformer with speedrunning in mind. All the other Sly games are NOT designed with speed in mind, but Sly 1 is and that's it's greatest strength. The open world style gameplay in the other games is fun and good, but they don't achieve the true high level of greatness that Sly 1 was as being one of the top best platformers ever made from a speedrunning level design perspective. All you have to do to understand what I mean is complete all the Master Thief Sprints in Sly 1 and 100% the game. The first time I did this a few years back is when I learned how truly great Sly 1 is. I never knew as a kid, it wasn't until I actually did the Master Thief Sprints that I learned and realized just how great the level design is.

I'd prefer the collection but that's PS3. It's been heavily rumored they're working on PS3 emulation so it could happen down the line

Here's the thing for me I already have Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus on the PlayStation 2 and ps3 so why would I want to play it on PS5 if I have it for two systems already

Eh it's fine. And it may be a pipe dream, but they had THOUSANDS of games to choose from from the PS2 library and Sly was one of 3 they picked.
I mean the game is still be released at least the 1st game to played on ps5 on their classic catalog. Also you forget sly is one of his tops favorites. He is not giving up. But good luck with that.
All I know is at some point somebody who works at Sony use the words let’s put Sly Cooper on the PS five and that’s enough for me

Yeah the entire hd series is already on PS+ Premium this is just the PlayStation 2 original version hence the download

The PS2 version is much more nostalgic without the minor glitches of the remastering.
Is it possible that you also have Trophies like Jak and Daxter in the Lost frontier game, and if so, are there maybe the same Trophies as in the PS3 verio or completely different ones?

That's just the psn avatar design. It's the same art style as the other avatars with the "plus" in the back. By the same artist

Just stop, Just because Sly looks sort of young in the Avatar, it doesn't mean they're not making a new Sly Cooper game, he looks no different then any of the many other promotional pictures they've used over the years, it's always the same thing every month of every year, there is always some new theory or rumor about some new Sly game coming out and it never happens
God I hope not, let that trash panda rest. If any Sucker Punch franchise needed a resurgence it's InFAMOUS. We need more of that preferable with Cole.
