I have a pair of rep Chicago that I bought just to wear because the resell price was too insane and mine looks exactly like the legit pair. The wing logo looks perfect. Honestly I'm fine with people that wear rep because of the ridiculous resale price but 100% against people who sell REPS.

Some fakes are a lot closer to the retail, and there is no justification for paying thousands more just for better organization of microscopic stitches, a wavier tongue, more embossing, less shine, and different laces 💀
To be honest, that bit of stitching you highlighted actually looked better on the fakes.

Reps always smell bad compared to retails cause the authentic ones sit at warehouses for months before launching and being shipped, reps on the other hand are usually sold and sent within weeks of being made

You can easily spot the fake by the big bulky toe box. The retails have sloped toe boxes and it’s a huge tell tale sign.
Sloped happens after wearing them. Dead stock doesn’t have that yet.

The smell is only because Nike throws an air freshener in there before selling.
The tongue shape will very quickly go away after you lace them up.
The stitching is on a per shoe basis and some fakes will not have the overlapping stitching.
Another flaw to look for is the hourglass shape on the back of the shoe. Fakes will sometimes be stiff and be shaped more like a "V".
How about the embossment of the air Jordan logo. Does that vary with retail? The depth of it.

There's much better replicas than that one, that isn't even LJR because it has the toebox flaw (which is the biggest giveaway you didn't mention), the thing you mentioned aren't noticeable on feet. Looks like a DT batch or something.

Also look in the toe box of the shoes and look at the holes, the 2nd row from the tip of the real shoe should have all holes being straight but in the fake you can see one hole being offset usually. If you look closely you can spot this in the video.

U found a beat up pair of these at a yard sale. Looked at this video they checked all th boxes and look very legit. I was told by my sneaker head freinds they are real too. But, the insoles are black, not white with Nike air, please help and tell me what this means!
