This is an incredible project! I love the very descriptive video details. Couple questions though, Do i have to use those special pocket jig screws (they tend to be a lot more expensive than regular deck screws) and also what is the length of the brad nails you are using ? When you attach the table top boards, are you putting the brad nails through the 2x2s and into the 1x2s ? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work. 👍
Thanks for watching! I don't have to use the pocket holes screws, actually I rarely used them, I bought them to make the pocket hole jig video! They do prevent cracking though because of their flat non triangular surface that hits the wood. I use 1 1/2 most of the time. My brad nails are from 3/4 to 2.5", I have all of them. I'm not sure which one I used, I just take them out and compare length to my piece so it doesn't go thru. It was probably 2" nails in this case. I am going thru the 2x2 and into the 1x2 yes. Make sure you have good pressure if you do that else they tend to just go angled or crumple in my experience. Might be my cheap nails though lol! Thanks for the support!

I'm not sure on their limit but i'm 6'4 230lbs and I can def put my full weight on the table leaning onto it. The stools could take many of me. Before adding the X brace though, the table had a pretty bad sway to it. It's definitely required. Thanks for watching!

@@Mat_Builds I have the kreg mini single pocket hole jig and it was recommending using 2 1/2 inch screws but the hole seems too far for the smaller length pieces that’s why I was asking

What size of screws do you use?
1 1/2" screws, in #10 format if I'm using typical screws, or just pocket hole screws ideally. Thanks for watching!
