That one about the research project is so real. I had a 5000 word essay due at the end of the semester and forgot about it until literally the day before it was due. Was working on it literally every minute I wasn't in class for those 2 days. Got to 3800 words and threw in the towel. Got a 10 out of 12. That class was a trip.
How do you even write a 5000 word essay to begin with??? A 1000 word essay would be easy, 2 or 3 thousand would be somewhat difficult but reasonable depending on the subject, but 5000 words? How do you write about anything at all for that long?
Worst finals are the ones on Saturday or late at night. Sophomore spring, my stats 1 final was on the very last day, from 7-10 pm. Nobody wants to be doing stats at 10 pm! 😂
Finals spacing always stupid af, they’re either insanely far apart or too close together, last summer I had 3x3hr exams that were on Friday, Monday and Wednesday😭😭
I literally have a final on Friday at the time of writing this, and then THE REST OF THEM next Thursday, finals scheduling is ass. Also I'm so glad I switched from the dorms to a slightly off-campus apartment, now I'm not wasting $200+ on food I won't get to eat
To anyone who is THAT upset about your finals schedule, politely ask to get your final moved up. Usually, they’ll let you take your final with one of their other classes.
I have no final exams but a bunch of final projects due next weekend (at least until I get some kind of extensions). I'm actually jealous of people with exams.
You're jealous of a 19 question Calc 2 exam? A 70 4 points each question bio exam? You're jealous of a 30 multiple choice 6 short answer engineering stats exam? You're jealous of a 12 multiple choice & short answer calc based physics exam?? Brother, you don't know how easy you have it. Worst of it all, is that they're all comprehensive & right after each other.
I like it but there are requirements about the number of hours a class has to meet in order to award credit. Could start earlier or have longer or more class meetings. Don't like that. Back in the 60s we started after Labor Day, had 2 or 3 weeks for Christmas and New Years, depending on the calendar, came back in January for "dead week" and then Finals.
This semester fucking humbled me. Slacked off, didn't take care of my physical or mental health and thereby failed a relatively easy exam. The work I put in for my labs went to waste. Acted like a manbaby for a week, blamed everyone except myself. Now I know why God is testing me. Thanks, God. 😂
Also got a bursary, somehow. Thank God. To keep it I'd need to maintain a 3.0. Using the British system, a 65-69 is a 3.0 and a 2.0 is 50-54. I'd like to hope I'd keep my bursary but it's gonna be much harder for me to get new scholarships. 😂
Also thank God I did my schoolwork diligently. Otherwise I'd be on academic probation, the exams I wrote were just "ok", ie. 50-70's. They're worth 60% to 80% of my grade. Interesting.
Trying to cram everything in the week before finals isn't the best plan but it's ,slightly, better than nothing. "If I beg will he round my 59 to an A?" No. I won't. I'm already getting emails about making up a quiz that was missed in September. Or, "Is there a chance to do an extra assignment and raise my grade 12 points? No. The last thing I want at the end of the semester is more grading. I'll maybe add a couple of points onto your average. Especially if I know who you are because you ask questions in class beyond "will this be on the test?"
The spacing of finals is stupid and it's like they've already closed everything down before your last final! 😅

Finals late into the day gives lots of study time though
Calculating the grade I need in my final to maintain my financial aid 😂😂
me rn
Man, i wish i had a week off to study for finals. All my classes gave me projects and homework to do up until the day of their final.
They knew people wouldn't study, so they gave them something to make sure they knew stuff
@magicfish8213 that would make sense, if the test was over the stuff in the assignments, but it wasn't 😭. All of them were like 90% other shit.
@@nihartley5265 womp womp
@magicfish8213 ok
Freshman here, I told my friends that on the last day of class we’d just play card games and board games all night.

I'm a grown fucking man, I'll get through this shit. 😂
I had to do extra credit to pass PE bc my attendance was so bad💀
My high school has a full week for finals but we do all 7 in 2 days
You will NOT catch me not using all my meal swipes each week
Y'all get a week off of classes to study??
