Does your elevation effect the velocity of the Arrows shots or just the magnum? I’m sorry if this is obvious, I’m unfamiliar with the effect of elevation on high pressure air vs air pressurized from the piston.
@@markclifford143 The altitude won’t affect a PCP gun like the arrow because it has a constant pressure inside the pre-charged cylinder. I have both the Gamo Arrow and Gamo Hunter Extreme Pro (basically the single shot wood stock version on the magnum in this video), and I enjoy shooting the break barrel more. I can sit down and shoot pellet after pellet with the break barrel without having to take a break and pump the gun every 30-40 shots like I do the Arrow.
Great review video Ben! (GAMO with the way break barrel rifles, especially MAGNUM versions, go through scopes PLEASE put open sights on all your break barrel rifles!!!) Ben, you are one of the most budget friendly and best regular guy Air rifle review channels with great content. Very much appreciated. On your comparison I'm liking the Arrow better so far for these reasons: Open sights, compact light weight. less pellet picky. The new Gen 3i loses point for: No open sights, 100 FPS less power than the Gen 2 version.
If the Arrow has scope mounter higher above bore, and zero'd at a close distance, it could appear flatter at 50. Great vid comparison, thanks for sharing!
IMO once a few pellets are thru magnum specially when its new, it becomes so dam accurate after those initial shots that sometimes im perplexed at my own skill. Somebody do try this theory of mine that before taking a group get the gun put thru 5-10 shots and then notice the accuracy afterwards. However very hold sensitive and trigger pull sensitive imo. If shooter is not consistent it will spray beyond 50 yards
I’ve noticed they drop from 25 to 50 yards with the magnum. Hopefully the new scope can help to where I don’t have to keep moving sights. I got the hawk vantage with the dots in the velocity and windage crosshairs. But yeah I’m Louisiana from 25 to 50 yards it dropped only 3-4 inches. But the grouping is amazing with the magnum.
