    Very nice. I still own two older gamo rifles and I don't mind loading pellets manually. They still work great after 15 years still going strong. I have an older IGT whisper fusion in .177 and a gamo hornet maxxim in .22 neither have a magazine system but they are a blast to shoot and both take down pigeons just fine

    Many centerfire rifles have been known
    to shoot a little better at longer ranges…notably the old British Enfield .303’s as the rounds tend to stabilize and calm down a bit after a couple hundred yards and usually shoot better than a 50 or 100 yard group would suggest.

    Some of these break barrels can be a problem for some children or teenagers even adults who might not have the strength to cock the rifle, and have them stick to CO2 pellet or BB guns for now, and that was great shooting Angie and thank you for the upload!

      When a child says "I can't do it", (and you know it can be done), I tell the child, sure you can, you just have not done it yet. This child figured it out. I bet it can be done on a table also so you would not have to do a "squat", but he may be too short for that. Now,--look at what a 8 year old kid figured out,---and he is British for crying out loud!!!!! :) th-cam.com/video/j65T46DL418/w-d-xo.html
      Now don't feel bad. I bet he is not as "well read" as you probably are. hehehehe

  • @EarthSurferUSA

    I found with my gun (new Gen2 and my old Gen2), it did not like rapid fire fr consistent FPS. I put some gasket sealer on the bottom on the rubber breech seal sleeve, (air can make its way around it intermittently), and that helped a lot. But I find that time in between shots helps so well, I only sight in my first couple shots, as I found FPS starts varying, (and 852-783 is terrible for long distance shooting), when I keep popping shots off. 65 yards on a 1" target for my first shot though. A clean barrel helps too. I don't think many clean the factory grime out of it before they start testing. For this gun, make sure you get the grime off the breech after cleaning, (the mag is covering it), or you will diesel and damage the piston seal on the next shot. Another reason why I like H&N pellets is for the thicker skirts that survive well in the cans during shipping, (almost no dents in the thicker skirts), and that can easily be a 25fps difference. Use the best pellets,---and get rid of that factor.

    Nicely brought into a holiday atmosphere and you have to ask your boss a surplus for that hard work! Too bad no open sights now. On Gamo usa they write that the magazine can only be used with the gen3i. On a Spanish website they speak that it is compatible with the gen2. If so, you're better off with a gen2 along with the new inertia magazine. Would love to know the truth about that.

    • @airgunangie17

    The new Gamo magnum Gen3i looks like a great gun. Two things I'm hoping for, that Gamo is releasing the Magnum also with the new non-thumbhole stock. It's looks very cool on the Gen3i Speedster. Would be great if they bring that stock as an option to this rifle. Secondly, they bring the .25 caliber option to the 10x rifles as well.

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the thumb hole stock because of the way I developed my springer shooting. Basically, I don't want to touch the gun, and try to squeeze the trigger,--with out moving the gun. I find I get my best long range shots when the gun weight is just resting on my forehand, and the crotch of my thumb and finger. Get the butt stock force off your shoulder and cheek before you shoot, and you just gained 20 yards on the 1" groups, (if everything else is good). :)

    I suggest when testing a gun that you use the best pellets for the longest ranges, (up to 75 yards is respectable and needed). IMO, that would be the H&N pellets, (16-18grn for this gun). I have never had polymags fly well past about 40 yards, and that is the distance I like to sight my gun in at. I am sure Gamo wants you to do promotions with their pellets,---but they really don't show the capabilities of the gun in many tests, and neither do testers who shoot only 25 yards. (did not see you shoot yet. I hope you go further. haha).

  • @mitchellbaker4312

    Id recommend the 22 maxxim mine puts 7 of 10 in the same hole at 20 yards . easier to cock and a tad bit better grouping than a magnum gone thru every gamo scope with every one of the rifles I have and a couple of Simmons I found pinty to be the most reliable scope to hold up to The recoil of the Magnum. excellent air rifles very effective and accurate. You can hit 1500 ft per second with the Magnum with five drops of three and one household oil however I wouldn't recommend it it gets very loud turns out it's considered a firearm if you do that check with your local law enforcement before hunting with it off property the prey liston these guns is not secluded to small game animals I had in a raccoon being aggressive in my front yard I did not expect it to follow through and leave a giant dent in my barbecue grill after going through the Coon but dropped it where it stood on a very large raccoon. The Magnum can drop mid-sized hog as well I wouldn't put it past dropping deer or gator not much of a deer hunter myself so I'll leave it up to those who know

      After trashing a half dozen scopes, (I was shooting a lot, but some did not take a lot.), I broke down and paid 5.5 bills for a little Leupold 33mm 3-9 optical adjust 8oz freedom series scope----with a lifetime warranty. Stock was 3.3 bills, but I had them put a mill dot reticle in in for 2.25 bill more, trusting they will honor the warranty. 4000 plus shots later from this mag springer (and a hatsan 30.cal springer), they fixed it totally. Great little scope for mag airguns,---as long as they fix it again. :)

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I call that a "loaded pellet". They can be hard on the piston seal, (especially if any oil gets into the compression chamber,--turning it into a combustion chamber.), and it would be hard to make them all the same, so they would not be very accurate for hunting, (sans pretty close I could bet). IMO, it is not any more useful than for a neat science project. No way with big game. Small game to 80 yards is pushing it for the .22 here. Not only hard to hit, (but can get good at it), but the little .22 pellet loses a lot of energy stretching out that far.

      It is light. It makes 28-29 FPE. It is very accurate in the right hands, (with a good scope, an 80 yard head shot gun really). The barrel locks up perfectly, no side to side or up and own movement when locked up, and the magazine works pretty well. If you want a mag .22, I don't know what you are waiting for. You need to be a better shot than anybody on YT to out shoot me with my Gen 2, and I am sure I can do the same with the Gen3. It is a good gun now. But wait if you want. It's the same Power plant, 4 years ago. With just the magazine system updated. It's the same IMO. Trigger has a long roll which stinks. But the accuracy is still the same as the previous models. The bone collector G2 is much better . So good, I sold my Magnum and THE BCG2 IS WAY BETTER. the grouping easily 1 inch @50 yRds compared to the Magnum which is about 1.5 inches no matter how you shoot it.

    • @EarthSurferUSA

      I have the magnum shooting 1" at 63 yards, and not on a bag, (It is a good door jam position I have though, but can do the same from a tree branch or the such.). I put a 2mm longer little trigger screw in it, and it has a very short trigger pull now, (but still just as much force needed). That was a 30 cent mod from a local hardware store.
      More power can make a springer harder to shoot accurately, but I think I figured it out, and it works for any springer. Try not to touch the gun, basically. Let it shake naturally. Even your cheek and shoulder will buffer the natural gun vibrations, so the muzzle will be in a bit different spot when the pellet leaves it. I already just let the gun rest on my hands, but now I push the gun away from my cheek and shoulder, (just barely touch for some stability) before i pull the trigger, and I was able to stretch 1" groups out another 20 yards basically. I hold the gun so lightly, I had to fix the trigger a bit, (I have shot much worse triggers than this, and got 1" groups to 70 yards. That crap will make you a good shot, haha), because just pulling it smoothly moves the gun. But that muzzle will be in the same spot for every shot. I find when I miss, I realize I forgot to move it from my shoulder/cheek,--or I need another new scope. :) Give it a try. I have taken squirrels with head shot to 80 yards, when I am shooting well. :).

      @EarthSurferUSA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, that was a mistake. I can't stand using open sights, but this is a magnum scope eater, and it is nice to be able to shoot when you scope breaks. Plus, when a scope breaks, it can be hard to determine if that is the problem as your groups get wide. You can shoot a 20 yard group, (as far as I can shoot decently with the open sights), with the scope and the open sights, and if the scope group is bigger,--it is probably a broke scope.

    Everyone wants accuracy....but frankly how good can any one person shoot off hand? From the old daz of shooting my crossman pistol with iron sites that completely covered a chipmonk head at 20 feet....this is a step up pellet gun.
    My only cons are that the instructions are written on bubble gun size paper...break out the magnifying glass and detail info is short on as are the diagrams for adjusting the trigger. Also putting one tiny instruction manual in with the purchase for multiple weapons is well.....definitely a "come on fellas..." moment. Even my $20 coffee maker had better details in the box and specific to that coffee potter. And speaking of box....the packaging on these is as sorry as it gets....mine was shipped and the Styrofoam was battered as was the gun when it arrived left to bang around against the included and separately wrapped scope. Finally, cleaning this beast is not easy. You have to hammer out a couple of plastic pins to get the auto loader out of the way so you can bore clean the weapon which means frankly, it won't get cleaned as often as it should. For a $200+ pellet gun, I think that GAMMO can do better...what do you think???

    Your channel name "Gateway to airguns" is catchy.
    But if you think about it, what can that be? "The gateway to air guns" has to be a straw with a spit wad in it. On yea, you remember. It was the only "shooting" we ever saw in a HS back in the civil days of the USA.

      True. So become a better mag springer shooter. You almost have it down. :)
      I developed my own technique, and it works for any springer to 70 yards for me on 1" targets. Basically, don't touch the gun, even with your cheek and shoulder. If you can pull the trigger tiwh out touching the gun, (just resting in my hands), you will add 20 yards to your 1" groups with any springer that is working properly.

    I think the gun is too big for you. Cocking is also a struggle for you. Mmmm so maybe it’s more for a bigger stronger shooter. So the real question is what’s the best performing GAMO for smaller women shooter? As Confucius once said “you do not need a cannon to kill a mosquito.”

  • @mikem201
    @mikem201 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Gamo requires you have a Federal Firearms License before they sell you parts to repair your Gamo. Why is it these PAID professional reviewers never mention that when reviewing this Gamo garbage? If you like rifles with 4 lb triggers that feel like dragging a nail across concrete, the Gamo is for you!

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bet I can out shoot you with any other break barrel with this gun to 100 yards. But yea, that is a stupid wussie lawyer recommendation in Spain. I think they have a list of dealers with a fire arms license who will get you parts, but you will not find a local one to do the new paperwork and do it. It makes absolutely no sense to sell the gun freely, and the parts through red tape that is not necessary by law even. If they are worried about people working on their own guns---send some damn directions with it.
      I blew a piston seal in my first one, and just bought a 2nd gun to avoid the hassle.

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      By the way, a 2mm longer screw behind the trigger shortens the throw to a smidge. Still a bit heavy for the way I hold the gun, (I try not to touch it at all), but it is much better than my .233 AR15.
