Hello! This link will bring you to a shock setup that will fit your link pin beetle front beam. www.dubparts.com/products/classic-vw-short-air-ride-shocks-for-type-1-link-pin-beetle-bug-ghia-1
I kind of screwed up the pictures of the online places that carry these parts. Here is the specs: On the elbow, www.hydraulicstore.com # 1215375 6501-04-02 Female swivel jic/male pipe 90 degree 7/16 X 1/8” male pipe thread 1/4 fitting, www.fittingsandadapters.com Composite push to connect fittings 1/4” airline 1/8” female pipe thread
I actually used my angle grinder as I have become quite good at controlling it over the years. I put the air shock in my vice with the inlet pointing down and directly afterward set my smallest shop vac attachment on it. I have not had any problems to this point!
@@benhulburt4931 Thank you for the response yeah I’m actually probably going to push a small amount of Kleenex in the hole and use an angle grinder to take it off. Hate to have to take the shock off.
Thanks for the info. Big help.
Note... Zoro has these fittings (as of time I'm writing this). Using on Gabriel highjacker air shocks.
Did this work I want to use Gabriel hijacker air shocks?
I currently got this set up, looking to upgrade the 1/4 to a 3/4 fitting
So im looking to get air shocks for a 73 nova so i can jack the car up for wider wheels. Does changing the fitting helps with leaks
I think it does because you go from a plastic piece to a metal.
Mine liak at the swivel is there a secret to get them to seal
I used 18 wheeler air lines!!!

How did you cut that inlet back and did you worry about shavings getting inside?
