Same story I had with a baby kitten, less than two weeks old. I was rushing to the dentist and they threw it away at the middle of the street from a car. Diarrhea, growing but not fast enough, it's eyes just opened and I found it dead at the next morning. And buried it. You just can't save all of them. But the important thing is it didn't died alone at cold, and someone took care about it till the last minute. Huge respect!🙏🏻
Just piggybacking on this comment so I can share some tips. A long time ago, a very clever vet told me: diarrhea doesn't kill, dehydration does. I have a lot of experience raising puppies, and it's so so important to get any baby animal enough fluids if they are having diarrhea. The best and fastest way to do this is to administer sub-q fluids - they turn around very quickly when you do this. The second best way is to feed them oral rehydration liquids, like Pedialyte. The easiest way to get this into a baby animal is to tube feed it to them, every few hours, until they stop having diarrhea. The final thing is that most babies who have diarrhea either have it because they have an infection and need antibiotics, or have a high worm load and need to be dewormed. A vet can administer injectable antibiotics or prescribe liquid antibiotics so it's easier to feed. Following this protocol, I have never lost a puppy due to diarrhea in over 10 years. It's more important to get a baby animal hydrated than to get it eating. Get it hydrated first, then deal with the feeding.
Throwing a kitten from a car like it's an empty soda can? That would already be disgusting on its own if it was a can. But a kitten? _A kitten?_ Brainless and heartless.
For 5 years my brother and I would climb trees and find the ones that hadn't opened their eyes. We took them, fed them raised them and set them free on our land. They would come every morning to greet us and feed them. This was in the 80s. Not acceptable to me now, but we were children following step dads instructions.
I almost cried when the squirrel died, and looking for her brother.. That squirrel was the brother. But, as always, the squirrel is in a happier place. ❤️❤️💗💗

When I saw the baby squirrel curled up dead, my heart skipped a beat. I knew instantly that it was dead, but a part of me hoped that it was still alive and it could be saved by the man.
The little boy definitely loved you and knew you loved him. That's a precious thing to say about something that can't even open his eyes yet. Your care ultimately may have been palliative rather than curative for him, but company at the end of a sad road means a lot to the individual receiving it.
Hmm i know that. I had two pegion and they were giving eggs but it used to break all the time. Finally their one ege didn't broke and a cute Chick came out. It was too cute and beautiful. That time it was winter. So I tried everything so that the baby pigeon don't get cold. It's eye's also opened and feather also came out. But suddenly it died. I still can't forget that.
I have pet bunnies and bunny way giving birth when something went wrong and she died a painful death. in my country there aren't many vets so we had to drive 1 and a half hour to get to the vets. She was dead by the time we were there. but her little baby looked just like her and whenever id stroke her like I stroked her mum I'd cry because her mum was so close to me and I could feel the bond between me and her. the pain is so much wether it's an animal or human beings.

The little boy definitely loved you and knew you loved him. That's a precious thing to say about something that can't even open his eyes yet. Your care ultimately may have been palliative rather than curative for him, but company at the end of a sad road means a lot to the individual receiving it.

Hmm i know that. I had two pegion and they were giving eggs but it used to break all the time. Finally their one ege didn't broke and a cute Chick came out. It was too cute and beautiful. That time it was winter. So I tried everything so that the baby pigeon don't get cold. It's eye's also opened and feather also came out. But suddenly it died. I still can't forget that.
I have pet bunnies and bunny way giving birth when something went wrong and she died a painful death. in my country there aren't many vets so we had to drive 1 and a half hour to get to the vets. She was dead by the time we were there. but her little baby looked just like her and whenever id stroke her like I stroked her mum I'd cry because her mum was so close to me and I could feel the bond between me and her. the pain is so much wether it's an animal or human beings.

I rescued a baby rabbit in the mouth of a cat Sadly her siblings didn’t make it we let her play outside and she met a friend and had 7 babies one died he/she was the runt now they are old enough to be giving away so now I only have three left I’m planning on being a rabbit rescuer when I’m older

I had to let her go because she was a wild rabbit so I trained her how to escape from cats and foxes and thing like that she is very happy now i I see her once in a while then I take one of her bunnies out side so she rememberes him
