Peak character development! His values change overtime, and to watch him continue to be himself but shift towards protecting those values is one of the most fulfilling parts of the series.
I also like that he was intentionally written in a way that he lagged behind other dragons layers , so that he could grow from a character that only cared about power, to one that accepts his weaknesses, and cares/relies, on his family and levy.
Never thought that I was gonna see a video in 2021 or in general that discuss my favorite boy Gajeel. I never had a favorite in Fairy Tail until I realised that Gajeel was my favorite. He became that after the Tenrou Island arc when he fought alone agains those two from Grimoire Heart and we got his fashback with Makarov. Before that he was kinda just there for me and that was okay, but after that epiosde where he used his Dragon Slayer Secret Arc, he became my favorite, hands down.
I feel it is important to mention his relationship with Juvia too, as they were guild mates at first she is his only friend. But then he slowly loses her to Gray
You pretty much covered all the important bases for my favorite character in Fairy Tail. Thanks man, this video may not have been too necessary because of how loved he is, but I loved it all the same.
