The thing is Nigerians are very contented people. We are not asking for too much.
We just want to be able to work without stress and be happy.
    Great video

Nice public utility train in Nigeria.
There're 3 generations of people in Nigeria (just like the poster) who've never had an experience of a good train ride.
That was why when i arrived in Montreal Canada several years ago i used to cry regularly and regret the situation in Nigeria whenever i leave my house to transit by public transport and use the underground metro system that traverses Montreal.
I'm glad they're finally doing something about it.
When Nigeria finally has a good train system it's gonna practically double the National GDP of Nigeria from the current $489 billion to above $1 trillion and that'll be huge and very refreshing indeed.
    Kudos Nigeria, keep it up!!!🇳🇬

I took a train from Ilorin to Kaduna in the early 80s. Humm. Let's just say it was the glory of God that saved me. That was a most crowded and most dirty train imaginable, making it the most dangerous trip of my life. Omg! As a young woman, it was a horrible experience.
So, this is so wonderful to see. The new trains look lovely. Hopefully they stay clean and safe for all.

Clean, quiet and very spacious inside the first class carriage of that train. Eventually when all the construction has been completed and more people start using the service, food and drink will be included in first class.

It's left for all Nigerians to make good use of it and protect it from vandalism. It is your money and everyone else's, so if any nuisance tried to be rough with it call them to caution so that your future family can also inherit the beauty and improve on it. At least they should have wait a bit more and finish all the station before carrying passenger. Passenger safety should be the first priority even the train staff have to to selling ticket in an open unconstructed area seem like a risk. Overall, nice seeing some development taking place in our nation. Is the train running on electricity? If so, hope the electricity problem in the country will not derail this new development.

You missing your train reminded me of a similar funny incident that happened to me ages ago when I missed my train even though I arrived at the station in time.
I got to the station and assumed I had time to kill and decided to head across the road to buy some pasties to eat on the train, when I eventually got back to the station I realised I hadn't figured out what platform my train departs from.
I eventually found a train station assistant and asked him, only to be told that my train was the one that was just departing, and the ticket I had was only valid for that specific train. I returned home with those pasties. LOL
I'd find the views of the small towns fascinating.

They can build, but can’t maintain. Maintenance is the key to any investment in the country. Most of our roads and railways have been neglected since we got independence from Britain because of corruption and nonchalant attitude. UAE is now a developed country, this is a country that started twenty years ago from dessert to first class country, but our politicians instead invest in foreign countries and our money used to build the foreign countries.

Great to see this improvement. But you must go to the money resource places in Nigeria and do the same; such as Calabar, Eket, Iben, Uyo, Port Harcourt, Mbaise, And, Warri, Enugu, Owerri, Ikot Ekpene, and Oron. Those are places feeding the Fulani government of Nigeria, and the entire Federation. Ensure that no official chop chop the billions of dollars put aside for the keeping of the trains, the railways and the cleanliness of the train in the future, and if Christ does not return soon. Write the rules down and paste them on the walls of the train, that anyone got messing with the train shall prosecuted. Create investments and jobs for the youths so that they use the money they make to enjoy the train.

Go and listen to Amaechi the transport minister, the senators from those areas are the ones blocking the loan for the project because it is a China loan. They don't want us to take China loan. The Itakpe to Warri that was done, our people think the best thing is to cannibalize it and sell in parts to make fast money

I don't understand why they should launch an uncompleted project, Nigeria can really be very pathetic no thanks to corruption.

Except the ticketing is automated and entry to train is restricted automatically and by security personals, it won't take long for it to become moribund. Nigerians would print fake receipts and allow unauthorized passengers in. Hope Nigerian won't run it the typical Nigerian way.

Sophisticated because it is the best train anywhere in Nigeria since independence. Kudos to Buhari government.

@@samueludoben3390 Hater, you are so full of negativism. With a combination of 14 years as presidents, Obasanjo and Jonathan failed to give us ordinary locomotive trains from Lagos to Ibadan. Shame!
What did Lucky Igbinedon give Edo state and what did James Ibori give to Delta state? There is a diesel train service now from Warri to Abuja. Udoben go and take a ride on it. It feels very good.
