She grew up with her mother telling her she was an awful cook, The first time she made me a meal her family was there and they all teased her about it being bad. It wasn't the greatest, the tomato soup was a little Sour, but I scarfed it down like it was the ambrosia of the gods. So she cooks when I can't and I brag Her up like h*** To all our friends and she feels a little bit better. And internally I get to say f*** y** to my mother in law.

I've always decorated my food to make it look more appealing - ever since I was tiny. I learned early that you eat with your eyes first, and my first job was working at a Sizzler with a 78 item salad bar. I kept it stocked and made the salads, always adding flair to them. When my kids were growing up, I made their plates nice looking and still make my husbands' plate for him. It's my way of showing him I care about how he feels and what he eats.

Noodles can be had ON a plate or a very shallow bowl. In season, I make Mongolian Barbecue on my Blackstone, and always serve it up on plates. Of course you're a purist, and think everyone must follow traditional methods, or else their effort isn't authentic.
