The all-new 2013 Ford Focus ST is such a highly anticipated contender in the sport-compact class that uploading a single video just didn't cut it, so here's another...except this time touches of our new branding are included throughout the video. As always, enjoy! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Much thanks! We are glad you enjoyed it!
We understand your reason. We are in the process of blending the two styles together, we know that our viewers like the first person review and it won't be going away anytime soon.
It has to do with the equipment packages, the ST1 is the base model, ST2 rolls in recaro seats, MyFord Touch, dual zone auto temp control, Sony Audio, and Sat radio, ST3 is the top of the line with full leather recaro seats with heated seats, power drivers seat, LED accented DRLs with HIDS, Nav, ambient interior lighting, and heated outside mirrors.
I just ordered this exact car last week, can't wait for it to get here! One of the better reviews I've seen for it too, thanks.
New engines today are very tolerant and durable. Most mainstream manufacturers already have the engine broken in from the factory. In fact, after the engine is assembled, it is often time revved to its redline to make sure all the components and seals are tight. In the owners manual of most vehicles, there is often "no break-in" period anymore. It is perfectly safe and won't do any harm to the engine to just test it out for a brief time.
Great job on this video review! Answered all of my questions...especially about the pricing comparisons between the ST, GTI, and Speed3 at the end. Looking forward to more great reviews like this.
Probably the most informative review I've seen so far. I may just have to go buy one now.
The BYO bit you added was sweet, as was the rest of the vid. Keep up the fantastic work guys!
really love how you compare prices with and without options! something i don't ever see in car reviews but am constantly doing on my own. keep that up :)
wow good review man, i didn't expect that
This really is an outstanding review. Very informative. Thank you
Thanks for sharing! What made the first review better?
I like the new video style. Much more professional but without losing your personality in the process
Really well done review
I like your review style. Very informed good work
Glad you like this one better :)
What I appreciate the most about the first review is that it doesn't sound at all like the boring automotive journalists reviews. In this one, which is also good by the way, you sound a little bit like other journalists when you talk about how you like the rims machined.
good job! love your videos!
One of the best, in depth reviews I've seen, nice! Front end definitely looks better in the flesh though, wasn't too keen at first..
i like the new logo keep it up!
Very nicely done!
Great review for a great car!
Great Review Of 2013 Ford Focus ST. 😀
In addition to what 2theRedlineLLC already mentioned, this is a car review... Who wants to watch a car review with the reviewer babying the car? Viewers want to see the car taken to its limit so they can get a good sense on what to expect from said car. I feel this review was very in depth and thorough.
BTW. i subscribed to your channel. nice videos man
Love this car! Deffinitly getting it for my first car!!!
We didn't notice that on our 2010, seems to keep pulling hard well past redline
Good review!
Great video, I'm currently in the shopping around phase and I think I'm leaning more towards the 2015 GTI due out next summer.
Thanks for pointing that out, that is correct, although it would look rather odd if for example you had Race Red with the yellow seat inserts
The gas tank is in fact 12.1 gallons, about 0.3 smaller than the standard Focus. A weird change, as it will make the range of this vehicle very low.
good vids bro. do a vid on an 8th gen 09-2011 si sedan
Can't wait to get mine.
I pick mine up tomorrow!!!!
The MFT display is included in the ST2 package
I really liked when you looked through the different "build" pages on the competiton instead of just saying "oh it competes with such and such for the same price", that was cool :)
The AWD system in the WRX makes it a bit more controlled and gives it extra grip on the track vs the ST. It doesn't mean the ST isn't as fun, in fact, people say its the best handling FWD car on the market right now. It just came down to your preference and we don't blame you for choose the subaru. Every car has it's strengths and weakness.
You do nice reviews. Wish you would do input on MPG avg's?
Great work Sofyan!!!
My list: 1.GTi 2 ST 3 Speed3 and the Civic Si can't compete.
Love your reviews, great job! Question tho, where did you get your camera mount for the headrest? I'm thinking of doing my own blogs (similar to these maybe) and wanted to get one of those mounts.
Tuxedo black eh, it's called panther black in the jolly old UK.
Nice review
I normally don't like sport compacts, but I would take this in a heartbeat.
They are two completely different cars, would you like a RWD sport coupe or a FWD hot hatch?
wow what an awesome sound.
love the reviews! Would you recommend purchasing one of these? I am debating this vs. a GTI but i have always been a ford fan and it honestly rides much better than my current NORMAL mazda3 hatch sadly... I just found this vehicle very comfortable, fun to drive, and such an easy shifter. I mean would I be stupid to buy one of these as my daily commuter and for a fun car on the weekends?
It actually is that vehicle at the end, good ears!
Great Video. I'm a focus fan and just traded my 2002 ZTS for the 2013 ST2 W/ sunroof. Amazing car! Packed with features, a BLAST to drive.
I'm in agreement with you on the wheels. It would be nice to have at least a choice of different rims, but sadly only the one. Will need to look @ aftermarkets, since I'll need all seasons anyway.
Love this!
yay! finally! I hope the fiesta gets projectors like in europe too!
Nice car. I saw a performance blue I believe it's called? ST3 at a car show last weekend. I couldn't believe how much nicer it looked in person versus on a youtube video. Very impressive little car. I wouldn't mind owning one myself actually. The first thing I would do is install a CAI, Tune, 3" DP w/ HF Cat & an MRT exhaust system. * I've been watching some vids of this car, so I'm learning lol. Nice review man.
Excellent reviewer.. You are the best one out there for..thanks. although an excellent value and the dual climate control is awesome.
What's keeping me totally interested is the smallish gas tank, turning radius, and speed is nice.. but a GTI in DSG can only be pretty good!
Those things kind of ruin it for me.. as my current car's radius is 37 ft, and it drives me nuts!! The GTI is 35.8
It is not available in the US
haha i knew it because i was watching a video of the exhaust sound from a c300 and i was like wait its the same sound as the end of the video! haha
hey man, ford focus st from 2012 to 2016, do they have the same bolt patern with ford focus SE sedan?
We did notice it does 1.8 turns lock to lock
STs are actually being sold close to sticker and there are no rebates from Ford.
Been test driving all the usual suspects. I gotta say this is on the top of the list. I opened it up on the highway, and omg, I've never heard a 4 cylinder sound so good. Unlike the competition, it feels like a compact luxury car. The only thing I didn't like was the recaro seats are sort of on the narrow side.
hey Sofyan, when you rode this car, did you feel that bang on the firewall when u hard shift from 1 to 2?
The "blacked-out headlights" as you put it are actually standard on ST1 and ST2. ST3 has LED daytime running lights and does not have the blacked out headlight casing.
I am one of the rare ST3 owners. In Oxford white. Anyways, Great review.. many people need to be educated on the "hot hatches" and the class this car falls into.
And yes to the rest of you.. i recommend you test drive one before you dismiss it. This is a fun driver car!!
I LOVE THIS CAR
What's that red car in the background in the beginning and can you do a review of it please?
They are on the ST3 models... this is an ST2
FIESTA st!!!!!!!! please upload a video on that when it becomes available :)
thank you
For someone who has never driven stick, do you feel this car would be pretty easy to learn on?
i love this color. My fusion sport has the same paint xD
on the note of the sound symposer, the gti also has a similar tech inside it
Hey Sofyan, I'm thinking about getting an ST1 version of this... I've been doing some reading and there's mixed opinions. Some say not worth it, others say the ST2 is not worth the extra $4000 and others say, just get any model is great! What are your thoughts. I have noticed the ones that say no, don't like the additional costs and bought an after market stereo and didn't care about seats, but put money in modding the car instead. I'm still very undecided.
Sofyan, can you try to find a first generation Mazdaspeed3 (2007-2009). I would greatly appreciate it!!
I'm looking foe one very similar to the blue one you did before.. But I'll be happy with just a st1. Could you review that one??
This is awesome Motorweek-esque quality.
What happens to the HP and MPG if you run it on regular instead of premium?
what are the 'paddle shifters' on the back of the steering wheel if this is a manual?
Well said!
What about the honda civic type r or is this hatchback model not available in america
I really like the review and the car. I would like to know if you can confirm the gas tank capacity. I think Ford might of put 12.1 imperial gallons on instead of US gallons. That was one thing that I didn't like about the gas tank being too small for those long road trips. It is listed by automobile-catalog to be 14.5 US gallons or 55 L.
Can you manage to get a veloster turbo please!
You better believe it can run with the big boys...especially when you add in Ford Racing's power pack, adds up to 90 lb ft of torque and 40 hp, yes sir, that turns this blazing hot hatch into a little monster! Looks, handling, design and value for the performance dollar spent, amazing, great rock solid reliable hyper fun sport hatch!!
Is there a dent on the left side near 2:06. Look above and to the right of the wheel well.
yes it is , I live in berea Ohio and this guy who lives 2 houses down drives one and i was behind him yesterday , thats why im here checking this out
I actually just traded down from my 11' STi limited sedan and in all honesty, the only thing I miss is the AWD. Everything that i like in the ST makes it an understandable compromise (on top of saving money monthly) with the LED headlights, HIDs, Sync, GREAT sound system, great seats, and other cool little additions. my STi had 10k miles, creaked to no end when hitting bumps (car was stock) and had a miserable sound system although it was "premium." Just my opinion though.
Is it comfortable for normal drive?
Whats the difference between the ST2 and ST3?
What is that clicking clattering noise? Do all the engines sound like that?
The ST is just flat out better looking!
So why haven't you gotten in trouble with the police yet? lol
That tuxedo black, my god
Looks good, but like the GTI, really needs those xenons to complete the look...too bad they are only available on the highest trim level
ah gotcha, thanks for clarification
wat r the fastest 4 door ars??
Why no mention of the Subaru WRX 5dr?
does anybody know if the fiesta st back seats can fold like this
can't decide on a ST or Mazdaspeed3?!
that exhaust sound at the end of the video sounds just like a c300!!!!!!!
I love that it is a manual!
This will be a fun commuter vehicle to drive! I will choose this and forego the Dodge Dart.
i like this car alot. i also like AWD alot... damn you Canadian winters!!!!.... think ill get it anyway.
Sounds good for stock
I have the ST3. Love it for everything except the turning radius and the fog light button is too small and close to the trunk lid button. Also, after 5 thousand miles, I've had to take it in to replace the #2 & #3 fuel injectors.
I don't like the new intro music. But the watermark on bottom right is a nice touch.
