While the Bulls nearly achieving 15-1 is legendary, the Detroit Series is tainted because Rod Thorn(Basketball Operations Manager & Rule maker in the NBA) implemented flagrant fouls that season. The Refs excessively used it against Detroit in the Chicago series which is probably why you can never find the series in full nowadays. Rod Thorn is also the man who drafted MJ and was formerly part of the Bulls Organization.
Jordan completely shut down Scott when he played. Him being there would have made no difference. The Bulls were just too young, fast, and quick. The Lakers (as well as the Pistons) had no answer for them once Scottie Pippen emerged as a premier player. He was the first of a new type of player. (Penny, Hill, McGrady). It was time for the powers of the 80s to pass the torch to the new powers of the 90s. Worthy, Scott, or anyone else would not have made a difference.

Also James Worthy got hurt again in game 1 not game 4. Worthy who was already hurt before the finals was further limited after game 1. Chicago won and deserved it up but the Worthy injury made this an easy series.
Team injuries are no excuses. 1996 season Jordan led the bulls to a 72-10 record despite rodman missing 18 games. 1997 season Jordan led the bulls to a 60-13 record despite kukoc missing 25 and rodman 27 games. 1998 season Jordan led bulls to a 62 -20 record despite pippen missing 38 games. So i don't want to hear nothing about injuries the Chicago Bulls led by Michael Jordan was just that good and that's why they won and the los Angeles Lakers lost.

I disagree with on the Pistons first off that was the weakest Pistons team since 1986 secondly you can look at the playoffs that year and see how the struggled against Atlanta and Boston in the playoffs.
For me, I think they were finally worn down. They'd just been to the finals 3 times in a row and won the last 2. They weren't old yet but the previous success caught up to them

While the Bulls nearly achieving 15-1 is legendary, the Detroit Series is tainted because Rod Thorn(Basketball Operations Manager & Rule maker in the NBA) implemented flagrant fouls that season. The Refs excessively used it against Detroit in the Chicago series which is probably why you can never find the series in full nowadays. Rod Thorn is also the man who drafted MJ and was formerly part of the Bulls Organization.

Worthy and Scott were injured in the finals... big omission here. The finals would have ended with a different champion if it hadn't been the case.
Jordan completely shut down Scott when he played. Him being there would have made no difference. The Bulls were just too young, fast, and quick. The Lakers (as well as the Pistons) had no answer for them once Scottie Pippen emerged as a premier player. He was the first of a new type of player. (Penny, Hill, McGrady). It was time for the powers of the 80s to pass the torch to the new powers of the 90s. Worthy, Scott, or anyone else would not have made a difference.

Also James Worthy got hurt again in game 1 not game 4. Worthy who was already hurt before the finals was further limited after game 1. Chicago won and deserved it up but the Worthy injury made this an easy series.
Worthy played 40 minutes in game 2 and scored 24 points, led the team.

Team injuries are no excuses. 1996 season Jordan led the bulls to a 72-10 record despite rodman missing 18 games. 1997 season Jordan led the bulls to a 60-13 record despite kukoc missing 25 and rodman 27 games. 1998 season Jordan led bulls to a 62 -20 record despite pippen missing 38 games. So i don't want to hear nothing about injuries the Chicago Bulls led by Michael Jordan was just that good and that's why they won and the los Angeles Lakers lost.

I disagree with on the Pistons first off that was the weakest Pistons team since 1986 secondly you can look at the playoffs that year and see how the struggled against Atlanta and Boston in the playoffs.
For me, I think they were finally worn down. They'd just been to the finals 3 times in a row and won the last 2. They weren't old yet but the previous success caught up to them
