I loved Boaracay. The fact people even clean the beach at night shows how much the locals care for it now

Visited Boracay in Feb of 2021, then got stranded for 5 months when the lockdowns re-started... now I live on the island...

I just celebrated my 50th birthday at Boracay. It's definitely the best beach ⛱️ I've ever been to. The island tour was great, but me and my partner and I enjoyed the white sand beach the most at station 1 to 3. We will come back for sure.

I've been fortunate to go there during the off-peak season. Very little algae, less people to share the white beach with. It was paradise.

I’m glad you liked your experience in Boracay. I’m a Filipino and I really love coming back to Boracay every year since 2017. On June 8, 2024, I’m coming back for the 6th time in Boracay with my husband, dad and nephew to celebrate my dad’s birthday there. 😊

We have Thailand and the Philippines so high up on our list to visit. Thats so cool that they shut down Boracay to sort the pollution and rubbish! Amazing accommodation. Some great tips. Since the reopening, Boacay now has a tourist cap on number of daily arrivals. If you have a hotel booking and youre in the sialnd, Great !

I know you want to be positive, would be helpful to give the pros and cons. Great beach and sand, one of the best sunsets. Cons way too crowded, tricycle driver charging 5 to 10 time more than he should. Food mostly very good at a world class resort reasonable priced. Went a few times and it's time to checkout other resorts.
I grew up half of my childhood in boracay and used to always go to the beach with my cousins and swim. Living in Australia now and they have amazing beaches here but I still miss boracay sometimes.
I hope you get to go back soon and enjoy the Boracay beaches once again 🙌🏼🏝️❤️

You need to travel to beaches along the Indian Ocean of Africa. Some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen!😍 especially the more secluded areas.

Algae during summer is common in boracay.Best month to go ther without algae is from Oct. to December.

Being from Florida, I really liked Boracay. It has beauty it has nice people. The beaches were clean. I live on west side of Florida so it's nice to see clean beaches.
The one thing that bugged me. Was all the vendors especially at night. Every minute I was approached by some one either to eat in a restaurant, go sailing, sky diving, some toy they were trying to sell. Island hopping. Couod not just walk and enjoy was just solicited.
All over Florida's beaches all these options are available and not annoyed as I was with the vendors on the beach at boracay. At night there is no escape. Only bad experience though.
Plenty of food options . Plenty of hotels to choose from.
Ahhh I see how that can be annoying getting sold something every few metres. Thankfully, I didn't find that too bad during my stay; maybe the camera was a deterrent, haha! Thanks for watching 💖
Boracay is just - beach, nothing else. I suggest islands that has everything: white sand beaches, waterfalls, lagoons, springs, etc. Also, there is a certain freedom where you can just rent a scooter and just tour DIY style. Try smaller islands like Siquijor, Siargao, and Camiguin.

You gotta go to another island where there’s not a lot of tourist. Nacpan beach or go to north of Coron , Palawan.
I went to nacpan i prefer lio beach.Nacps is not developed it takes a bit of effort to get too as the roads is horrible and has zero facilities.

Boracay has become over rated and has become too touristy IMO. You may want to visit other lesser known islands (Siargao, Coron, Romblon, Siquijor, Pagudpud, and even Quezon Province) that offesr the same, if not better, beach options for that instagramable pictures. If you don't want that over crowded beaches and commercial establishments and just want the serene silence of beautiful beaches, there are more places that you can discover in the Philippines.

Boracay- my least favourite spot in the Philipiines. I can’t believe people think it’s that good compared to about 20 other destinations ( and more) ! Overcrowded, overpriced and pretty boring , but happy so many tourists go there to keep other secret gems less touristy!

Agree 100%. Bora is just beach and party. Nothing else. There are great islands that has white sand beaches, waterfalls, lagoons, springs, etc. Camiguin, Siquijor, and Siargao are examples that have everything and you can rent a scooter and go.

Tell you what, you still find a descent place and clean but not aesthetic nice for less than £42 .

Been there a few times & all i can say is .... OverHyped & a Tourist Trap. Want to enjoy a "Real" Paradise, go to Calaguas Island.....

I'm not a fan, it's such a hustle and over commercialization. Everyone is trying to overcharge you. Siargao and Siquior are far more Serene
Each to their own, I would've loved to visit Siargao, but didn't have enough time. But it's okay, it's my excuse to return to the Philippines.
Boring overhype and overrated.there are some more beautiful beaches than boracay in the philippines like in cebu palawan or bohol.

Not worth the hype! Too pricey, vendors taking advantage everywhere. Would rather go to Vietnam or Thailand beaches.
I loved it but each to their own. I haven't been to Vietnam yet but I'm heading to Thailand for the 2nd time next week.
