    Sir Mai TY Btech civil ka student hoon ,
    Practical me Sir hamne ek Howe truss liya , hamne uska Pricipal rafter ke forces , Main tie ke forces , Slings ke forces , aur Strut ke forces find kiye.
    But sir design Built-up laced column face to face me Load (Pu) kaise lete hai ?

      Sir I am a student of Civil Engineering and now studying in ty BTech
      We have a subject DSS ( Design of steel structure) and this Subject having practical also
      In practical Our subject teacher told us to solve a perticular problem on truss.
      In that problem we find forces of principal rafter , we find forces of main tie , Forces of Slings , and also forces of Strut too.
      After that Sir said for design of laced built-up column,
      But sir problem is I don't know how to take (Pu) or we can say load to Design laced built-up column for connection face to face ?

    Sir who we can chosse section Ismc 350 @ 413N/m

      Area of ISMC 350 is 5366 so our required area is 10370. And we are providing 2 ISMC sections so 2x5366=10732. This value is nearer to 10370. That’s why we choose ISMC 350.

    A Steel column has a support of 700kN. The effective length of colum is 5m. Design a built-up column with lacing having channel place back to back
