Bring A Trailer- is no doubt hurting these traditional auctions greatly with Porsche’s. The insane fees both 8%front/10% back combined with the entry fee, transportation costs and the arrogance of the auctions has hurt them badly! Then you have the no reserve risk too of BJ. Last, the number of photos provided and the ability to interact with the seller makes BAT that much more enticing to many.

I was in Scottsdale this year and had a chance to see most of the Porsches you reviewed in person. It was very interesting to compare my impressions with Nathan’s expert assessments. I really loved that Gulf Blue early 911 that Nathan wasn’t too keen on, and would have gladly taken it home. But we agreed on that hideous resto-modded 911 at Barrett-Jackson. It looked even worse in person than in the photos.

Hi you guys, just discovered you, great viewing. I'm from Melbourne Victoria, Australia and member of Porsche Club Victoria. We have over 2,300 members. When you understand Victoria has a population of 4.5mill, we must have a very high membership to population ratio.

I completely enjoyed this episode. There are different views on each model. We love these cars for different reasons. I'm a "Manny". I love driving my cars and want them to be maintained well. I don't sweat cosmetic deficiencies. I wish I had Nathan's taste and knowledge but I am who I am

The next 100 begins. You may want to think about a studio upgrade.

We'd love too, but unfortunately we are out of space here at PCA Headquarters. We might try to redesign the space to make it a bit more comfortable though.

On May 14 we're dropping a 991 vs 992 Carrera T comparo with Nathan. And the owners of those two cars swap keys and give their impressions. Stay tuned!

It’s almost impossible to find a 911 new in inventory at a dealer as Porsche seems to now hate ICE cars. So, I’d think the value of the pre owned market to go up.

Barett Jackson is not the place for classic European cars. It is for hot pink Mustangs with Anime characters painted on the sides. This auction should never be part of establishing a value for a marque.

When we see cars like that G50 White Cab we call them body shop specials. Lots of wrong details and like Nathan I assume mechanically they may be in even worse shape. Caveat emptor.

It is crazy, but consider the average cost of a new car is $48,000!

@@PorscheClubofAmerica lol those are way over priced too, but I get your point. I’m just an frustrated, middle-age guy who put off buying his dream car for family, kids, house, and a career thinking at least old ones would go down in price one day. Oh, well, I guess I’ll have to sell all my air cooled VW buses to buy one Porsche.🤣

@@ocavant Porsche guys look at the price of pre-68, air cooled VW buses and think "boy, did I miss the chance the buy them when they were cheap".

    • @ocavant
      @ocavant 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@carrerados Haha. Yep. lol. I say that all the time at every bus show I go to.
Greed and prices took a great affordable hobby and F’d it all up. Merz head would explode if he saw what a crusty 60-70 year old bus went for.
No changing it, just the way it is I guess. I just have to readjust my expectations and if I want one…pay up. 🤨. I think P car guys with money did come in and drove the market. Believe me, VW people DID NOT have the money to push the market, that’s for damn sure. Most were broke ass diehards or middle classer’s like me.
Now you see really well heeled chaps cruising the isles where 5-10 years ago you did not.

My apologies to the wood fans, but did I hear that right, $10K to replace the wood interior?!!? ugly, (imo) and expensive isn't a good combination.

Not trying to be a hater, but want to give you honest feedback. I am unsubscribing as it is just not compelling content. Feels like I am sitting at my local Porsche club breakfast.

I compare it to a newspaper - most articles are of no interest to me, not very „compelling” yet when I find a couple of interest to me then the total experience is compelling. Like in this video, using the slide I could find places that were really interesting to me.
