- The DRV321_BLE157_BMS141 update was rolled out on March 21, 2022. If you have already installed this on your scooter, then the scooter BLE must be downgraded with a programmer (ST Link v2) so that you can use modified firmware. This is no longer possible via Bluetooth (as of today)".

Hi there. Congratulations for your channel. My 1S scooter is updated with the latest original firmware by Xiaomi. Can i install the "Touring" custom firmware or it has to be downgraded first? (i ask because the webpage has a date of November 12, 2020)

Hi. I downloaded firmware and everything is good but battery temperature is a little higher about 40c..is that normal? Are you still driving on that firmware and how it is for you is good or you have some issues? Thanks a lot btw my english is not that great but i hope you will understand
I'm still riding at that firmware, no problems so far. I checked batt temp just the first time on a short run (4km+), it was around 34c. On the scooter is battery overheat protection, so as long as you don't get warnings on the dashboard I think everything is fine.
Maybe someone else will provide more info about battery conditions :)

It should be the same procedure, and you can use smooth DRV, only if you are downgrading BMS you need to choose your scooter version: files.scooterhacking.org/firmware/

hello, i tried this flashing method and another very similar one except that one had 3 files that i flashed. I have a 1s and i tried flashing many times, but the speed remained the same at 25 kmh in sports mode, 20 in drive mode, etc.. Any idea what i can do to fix this? I recently got a firmware update on the xiaomi app but i did not install it.

There were 2 updates in a row for 1S. Check your BLE version if it's BLE157, then your dashboard is locked for flashing. You need to downgrade it with stlink programmer, or swap heads temporarily for DRV flashing time. th-cam.com/video/YAexlwq47q4/w-d-xo.html
If your scooter is just out of the store it's a good idea to check your ESC version, if it's 3.0, then you are good to go, if 3.1, you will brick your scooter. As for so far, there are no reports that 1s has a 3.1ESC board.

Recently I noticed in the comments that people complaining that hack is not working. Decided to upgrade to the latest firmware and noted the same thing. After that, I did a little research and found the sad news. Too bad that I didn't do that before flashing :D

Yes, it should work. And yes, the application warns that this is not essential or 1s firmware, since it is made from the M365 model.
And check your ESC version, it must be 3.0 for this firmware.

Did the flash today. Worked great apart from that the scooter will not automatically decelerate below 16mph unless I put on the brake (cruise control isn't active either).
If I go slower than that, the scooter will decelerate back to 0 on it's own (like normal).
Any suggestions?

Kill all your apps as they may be connected to the scooter in the background. Push "connect" few times as sometimes app can't find scooter from the first time.

@@andrewdogza5303 Another option, if you have a friend who has the same scooter with old firmware is to unscrew and swap the heads (borrow BLE) to flash the hacked DRV and downgrade the BMS. I tried DRV155 (hacked) BMS128 BLE157 with no errors.

I have DRV 245 / BMS 141 / BLE 137 according to downG, flash goes to 100% but speed still lock and still old firmware after flashing. Any suggestions ?
I believe this is a model-locked drv. At first, you need to go to a specific drv. You can try using the "Scooter hacking utility" and do an "attempt drv downgrade". It will recognize your ESC and flash the correct drv. After that, you can flash any drv (of course, suitable for your ESC). Sub. Thx."
Hi, successfully flashed on my scooter 1S Xiaomi. One question, if i want to upgrade firmware soon. How can i undo the flash ? I mean, back to its originated form?
On the same site, there is original firmware, you need to flash it in the same way. After that, you can update to the latest original in Mi Home app.
Maybe you can update firmware straight to the newest in the Mi Home app, as it offers that, I tried just the 1st method.

Hi, is it possible for you to make a video how to start the scooter in Public mode and how to start in Private mode of this firmware. I fallowed your great instructions and it worked fine, I am just not 100% if I am entering Private mode correctly. Or if you can give some pointers: for example how long and when to release the break, or do you wait for some beep or something. Once again great work, you are the best.

They say, that the activation sequence to enter private mode is: (brake pressure => power button => release of the brake lever)

Yea, my bad, I downloaded private/public version. Now I flashed with the same version as yours it is much easier, just tourn on and go. I am living in Serbia witch technically is in Europe. Last night was around 5c and I got around 26/27 km/h with both touring firmware's. It was a short test, to cold for longer rides. Next I will try smooth version if weather allows. I guess we are both waiting for spring time. Already subscribed.
@@milandzodan Don't forget to check tire pressure, as you will lose mileage, and 2-3km of speed if they are low on pressure.
With this firmware, on a full charge I'm getting 29km/h (my weight is 60kg), sometimes changes to 30 (maybe a bit of downhill or wind in the back) :)))

Hi there. Did you have any problem charging it? I tryed one hacked firmware but then I couldn't use the original charger, the led on it remained green as it was disconnected and the scooter didn't charge. When I returned to original firmware, all went ok.

One subscriber had an issue like this on the original firmware, he had to change the charger, as it was defective. In your case, it must be something else, as charging recovered after returning firmware back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Oh, and did you download the correct firmware? There are ones that are for scooters with external batteries.
There are 4 types: 1. nonmodified scooters; 2. for scooters with 10'' tires; 3. the ones with an external battery; 4. with an external battery and 10'' tires.
You need for unmodified scooter - "Smooth" firmware.
Hey bro, its kinda funny - but it seems like such scooters have an RPM limit for the motor. I owned M365 Pro several years ago - after similar re-fleshing as you described it reached 34-35 km/h on full battery.
BUT then I putted 10 inch tires on it. The same stock rims, but those tires are taken from baby carriage. Much thinner walls, working good with just 2-2.5 bar inside.
I was a bit shocked, but I was able to reach almost 40 km/h (GPS) because of bigger wheels with the same RPM of the motor.
And finally one day I decided to ride it with my girlfriend - on the perfect pavement, no dents/bumps etc. We achieved 37 km/h - taking into account the fact that our total weight is almost 140 kg.
So I guess the real performance of such scooters (of course Pro have 350W, not 250 - anyway) is limited by some kind of reserve which is needed to keep performance/reliability in a good balance...
It has something to do with the electric motor and physics. This can be bypassed by field weakening (scooter hacking utility fitmware - shfw has field weakening options)
I tried it on a Xiaomi 3 scooter on a stock battery and tires, it accelerated to 39 km/h. Although after 1 km the engine became hot.

After installing the new framework im not able to use xiaomi app. Theres a problem with bluetooth. My phone cant find s1 anymore. Anyone?
Delete the scooter from the Xiaomi app, and it will show up in bt search. 2:20
And don't forget to disconnect the scooter from "m365 DownG".

It's an old video, a lot has been changed since then.
If nothing changed for you after flashing, you are on the newest BLE, and you need to downgrade it first. After that, you need to know your ESC version. If you have a 3.1 board, you need a different new-gen DRV.

I flashed my 1S with the smooth package and my top speed dropped from 25 to 18. Any idea why it would do this? The acceleration seems better but the speed limiter now seems to be LOWER for S and D modes…
It's 1S right?
1. Check your speed limit with app "m365" tools. Once for no reason, it was set to 18km/h. by itself. (Even firmware flashback to the original didn't help, until I noticed that sped limitation with that app and removed it)
2. Check your region and speed limit (and change it) with the app "XiaoFlasher".
If nothing helps: on the same site there is an original firmware (at the bottom of the article), you need to flash it the same way.

I don't have an ios device so cannot check, but checked on the internet and it looks like there are problems with the scooter flashing from ios.
So the best choice is to borrow android from a friend for flashing.

As far as I know, Xiaomi locks the speed according to the serial number of the scooter, and I don't know if the hacked firmware bypasses this in some way (perhaps yes). I can't check since I don't have a German or Nordic model.

No tricks to connect, just one click of a button. Sometimes you need to do this a couple of times, it's normal.
On the same site there is an original firmware (at the bottom of the article), you need to flash it the same way.
And do not use "Mi home" app for updates, as it will be updated to the latest firmware, which is no longer hackable.

This is not possible via Bluetooth. At least for now.
Option 1 - buy an st-link, solder to the dashboard, and downgrade.
Option 2 - find someone with a scooter that is still on old firmware, swap the steering wheel (in which is located BLE) then downgrade BMS and flash hacked (smooth) DRV firmware, then swap back the steering wheel.

In general, you need to unscrew 4 screws holding the steer and disconnect the wire inside (it has a joint there).
After that temporarily use your friend steer (BLE) to flash the DRV; BMS you want.

Hello , Thanx for this videos it helps alot for a beginer like me . Im about to spoof ble , but im also trying to find firmware can you assist ? with hacking tool i get this info before i done anything : stm32f 3.2.1. The link i dont see any firmware numbers on and dont want to brake it .
So you have ESC3.0 that can be flashed by any FW version. Those from this video are prebuilt for ESC3.0 Only thing that you need to do is to downgrade BLE (if it's a locked version). And remember that shit can happen when flashing over BT, so a good idea is to have Stlink to be able to recover your hardware if something unexpected happens.

I updated my scooter with the newest update may 2022. Can I undo it in order to install the smooth firmware? Installed the firmware but scooters top speed still 20 km/h.

Yes, it will work. Or you can unlock speed to 25 on stock firmware with Xiaoflasher - by changing the scooter region option.

A lot has changed since this video release, this method only works up to BLE155. You need to downgrade BLE first. After that, you need to know your ESC version. If you have a 3.1 board, you need a different new-gen DRV, or shfw.

I reverted today to stock firmware and updated it to the newest one with mihome app, after that there is no longer possible to flash custom firmware. Looks like we have to wait till someone will discover the way to flash from new firmware over BT.
And that's what I found on www: "the DRV321_BLE157_BMS141 update was rolled out for the 1S on March 21, 2022. If you have already installed this on your scooter, then this is the end for you. The scooter must be written with a programmer (ST Link v2) so that you can use your own modified firmware. This is no longer possible via Bluetooth (as of today)".

Hello after upload the firmware my scooter come with the error 22, allways is the same error code no mather what firmware I upload, I have try upload the BLE, DRV, BMS one by one, or like yours firmware all in one and i recive allways the same error.
My sccoter have bean updated by the Xiaomi Home app to the firmware 1.1.0_316_136_141 and after that the speed is limited in ECO, Normal and Sport to 6km/h, is because that i want restore the old firmware, but even the 221 vanilla have the same error 22 "BAD BMS PASSWORD"

Looks like you flashed the firmware with a different serial number (Just my thoughts). You will need st link, and your scooter serial number (it's written on the scooter sticker).
Ask on reddit, I think people there will help you. As of so far, I haven't had any experience with st-link.

I believe it depends on firmware. Your scooter is connected to your account, so if you will install mi-home again, it will be there. You can try to install the app, delete the scooter, and try to setup it up again.
If your firmware not letting to connect, not a big deal. Honestly, I don't think that it's a very useful app after all.

It doesn't work only if you have BLE157, in this case, there are options:

If you flashed and nothing changed, that means that you have BLE157, and nothing has changed on your scooter.
If you mean what could happen if flashing goes wrong, then probably you can brick your DRV, but it's a rare thing

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Might be the wrong firmware? If something is wrong, on the same site there is original firmware, you need to flash it in the same way. After that, you can update to the latest original in Mi Home app.

I managed to climb to the hill, that earlier failed to. But, maybe then I was on flat battery, I can't remember now. Anyway, with the hacked scooter I was not fully charged as well. In where I live it's hard to find hills :)

Thanks for the video. Work with my Essential, but it have a little problem. When I power off the scooter, after 1-2 sec it is powering on, like always-on mode installed.
Also sign error code 29, that means: ESC has wrong serial number in memory or “not activated”

@@MindaugasJocionis just checked the tire pressure and the tires are rock-hard and the scooter is brand new as well. I got a bigger extra tire when I bought the scooter. Do I need that?
@@yo420-yo7 You need to measure exact pressure, as those tires are not like bicycle tires, they are like car tires (with a cord inside). Even deflated they are stiff. After some time my scooter dropped down from 29-30km/h to 24-25km/h, everything went back to speed after tire inflation.
That spare tire is the same size, it just looks different :)
Check tire marking or manual for correct pressure value.

Hello there, I've xiaomi 1s for a month now and I must say that it has failed me the range is incredibly short and only reaching distances of 14km??? Do you know any reason why and any way to improve that? And this is without any mod or speed hack
Check tyre pressure, as they are not like bike tyres they have a cord inside. They may look stiff by pressing with hand and have no air pressure inside, that's why driving range and speed will fall.

(but it's just a rumor). Right now I'm using hacked firmware with disabled en recovery. In last month I noticed a drop in mileage and max speed, everything went back after tire inflation.
@@mxraluchi9584 On original firmware, after purchase, it was around 22 km. in S mode But then I didn't check tire pressure :) You can check your battery capacity with m365 tools. You definitely didn't lose your battery capacity in 1 month, unless it's some kind of battery failure occurred

First of all, do you know your BLE version and Motherboard version? If you flash those files to mainboard V3.1 it will brick your scooter.

I successfully flashed it and unlocked 28km/h so the speed difference is absolutely beneficial. But now I got home and I plugged the charger in and it doesn't show me that it charges.. is that normal, or what should I do?
As for speed i'm getting 29-30 km\h while fully charged. Check your tyre pressure.
As for charging, scooter should charge as usually.
If there is no indication that it's charging, it's not normal.

Every scooter, every model has it own controller, engine and batterie. You can't just say "it look like an Xiaomi so I will use a Xiaomi power boost.And, most likely, only the popular models had some engineers/programmers interested in creating free to use custom engine work modificators.
