What are your top three rides at Islands of Adventure?
I used to be all about the biggest, fastest Coasters that give you lots of air time. I still like those but when I'm at the Universal parks it is all about the immersive environment and themeing. So my personal favs: 3. Kong 2. Forbidden Journey 1. Hagrid
Took my 5yo granddaughter in March so I also have a few new favs: 3. Cat in the Hat 2. High in the Sky Trolley 1. Pteradon Flyers.
@@toniapeters9418 we’re starting to get that way, too! We’ve never gotten to ride the pteranodon flyers because we don’t have a child to take. I’m so jealous, it looks awesome! Those are all some great rides!

@@ThePughTwo you have to borrow a kid and ride Pteradon Flyers. It is the most amazing view and my 5yo loved it so much we rode it 6 times.
We’re gonna need an updated one when the velocicoaster is open!
And oh man, I don’t like spoilers of rides, so I go into them pretty blind and that drop on hagrids GOT ME!
Haha deal! After seeing it in person we’re so excited to ride it! We avoided all spoilers for Hagrid’s, too, and that first ride was the best. The vertical drop is so unexpected!
I rode it 3 times and the drop got me every time!

Hulk is great! Not #2 now that Velocicoaster exists, but still good lol

P.S you should make a video maybe about how to not be scared of velocicoaster maybe. Just a thought.

So, I went on the Hulk back in December and we got stuck on it right before the launch. While we were stuck, the music was playing. After we waited for like 10 minutes, it was finally running again but we rode the whole ride without the music. It was so awkward because we rode the whole thing in silence!! The music is what makes the Hulk, that's for sure! I know it's been a while since you guys posted this, but I just watched it again today and it made me think of my Hulk dilemma. LOL!
We have said this to so many people! Its a great ride, but without the music, it doesnt seem as good! We know that doesn't make any sense but seriously thats how it seems to us.

The slinky dog ride at Hollywood Studios at DW is great like that too with the theming in the queue and the ride itself synching up. It’s a fun coaster too

Dr Doom is #5? Over Jurassic Park?!?!?!?! When we did it, it was so short, we all looked at each other stunned after waiting for 30 minutes. There's no way I'll be able to talk my family into doing that one again. I think they'd rather watch a sliced apple turn brown.
LOL We just love it! We ride it all the time, however we normally have express so we don't have to wait very long at all! We definitely wouldn't wait 30 minutes for it!
I have never thought to ride the Seuss Trolly Train ride at night! I will have to do that next time I go. Hagrid's is also my number one. I would have to include Dudley Do-Right's in my top ten over the rafts, but they both get you soaked for sure.

If you go to Islands of Adventure for the first time, I suggest going on Spider-man first. It gives you such a rush and satisfaction of pure joy and fun after you ride it.

Velocicoaster

As someone that didn't fit on hagrids hulk, velocicoaster or hidden journey or Dr dooms fall my three favorite in order was Spiderman, high in sky trolley and honestly Poseidon
Those are all great rides, too! Especially Spider-Man! It’s crazy to think how old that ride is!
With rein of Kong, it’s a great ride except when you get the loud cart. My family went in November the first time we rode it, it was fun so we rode it again and got a loud bus. I was trying to plug my ears while holding on so wasnt huge on that but still a great ride!

Thank you for your videos! My wife and I are going to universal for the first time for our 30th anniversary this May. I have a question about the forbidden journey ride. Can you take pictures while in the queue or do you have to leave your phone in the locker before hand? Thanks.

They tell you at the lockers to stow everything away, but your phone will definitely be fine in your pocket! I usually keep mine on me, and I’ve snagged several pictures. It is pretty dark in parts of the queue though so it can be difficult to get the pictures to turn out. Thank you for watching!!
My son is excited to be going to island of adventures on his 10th birthday February 2,2022. And my son go all the time to Disney amusement but he never been to island of adventures, I been all the time though 😍

I totally agree with your choices. However, my number one ride is "The Watering Hole" in Jurassic Park. If I have enough Dewar's & soda, my chair spins!

Hi Anna & Tyler! I agree with your list except Doctor Doom being on the list and not Dudley Do Right Falls not being on it. It is the best flume ride I have ever ridden and I love how long it is. Of course this list also has changed since you released it just before Velocicoaster opened. Of course the argument there is which is number one? Velocicoaster or Hagrid’s? I would give them not to Hagrid’s because of the theming but Velocicoaster definitely has the best thrill factor. Ken
We did a video on Velocicoaster vs Hagrid’s! That was a hard choice because they’re both so good!!
When we went to universal in late April we made the mistake (for us) to go on Popeyes and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges and we got soaked from head to toe at like 9:30 in the morning and was wet for like 3 hours but we went on the veloicoaster after that like an hour later and that helped dry us off a bit
Lol you get SOAKED on that ride! Riding a coaster afterwards is a great way to dry off, though! 😂😂
Strong theme during queues has been used at Disney for decades. Well before Forbidden Journey or HP at Universal. I was really happy to see it come to Universal. It was always one of the reasons I had less interest in universal until recent years. But if you walk through Hollywood tower of terror. It’s got an entire story. Same for Expedition Everest, Star Tours, and many others. You see it to a lesser extent in Magic Kingdom. But Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom have strong theming for the most part. I agree that it is the future for ‘theme’ parks ;)
We just think Diagon Alley and Hogwarts took it to another level and in return forced disney to step up their game as well! Its good for the future of theme parks as a whole! They put in more effort and we reap the benefits (other than paying more haha).

We love seeing Buckbeak! It’s one of our favorite things in Hogsmeade. Those are great water rides, but Anna agrees! Walking around a theme park in soaked clothes isn’t the most fun thing ever 😂
I got on river adventure thinking it was a chill ride and got smacked by that final 80 ft drop

What about rip saw falls?
We definitely debated this one quite a bit. (one of us thought it belonged, the other did not haha) but we compromised and it just barely missed the cut!
Dr doom's scared the crap out of me... my harness unclicked last time a couple of times and I was was to loose for comfort by the time we came down..
This makes us uncomfortable lol!
I wonder now where the velocicoaster sits? I'm guessing it's either number one and they all just shift back, or it's number 2, and the rest shift back lol
We personally think it’s second to Hagrid’s if you’re talking about overall experience and theming! It’s a better coaster than Hagrid’s, though, if you’re just judging the actual track!

Do you miss out on that amazing Forbidden Journey queue if you have express pass?
You do unfortunately which is why when it isn’t a long wait we almost always forgo the express line and go through the standby line for the queue!
I have my own little anecdote about forbidden journey, went on it in middle school as part of a school trip to IoA, at the very end of the ride, the ride just stopped and the screen froze on a still frame of harry flying during the quidditch match
We probably sat there still for a minute completely still before the ride cut to like the final scene where we were getting transported back. Kinda anticlimactic
And I did realize too a few of the voice lines were kinda out of sync

Jurassic Park River Adventure is a Shuete De Shuete made by Itmin. They are safe. No reason to worry about it. Your not going anywhere. In reality. There dosnt even need to be a lap bar at all.
Oh we know we’re safe, it’s just the feeling of the safety bar being so far away that messes with my head. We fully trust Universal’s safety team, there are just some thoughts you can’t stop from happening! Lol
On the Hulk is the front or the back row the least thrilling? 😂
The hulk is thrilling regardless of where you sit! Lol it beats you up less in the front, though. The back row is definitely the roughest place to sit, it throws you around pretty hard!

Unfortunately you do miss quite a bit of it. That’s why we try to tell everyone to go through the regular queue at least once!

We're finally going in June for his retirement. We're taking your advice: Staying on site at a premier hotel, got park-to-park passes, going on a weekday, will take advantage of early park admission and downloaded the app. Thanks for your fantastic content!

All of the premiere hotels are sold out! Lol but we got sapphire falls so that’s ok. Express pass unlimited also very expensive but worth it. Thanks for making all of the tip videos
