Some fish are very intelligent. That pike was curious because it knew something didn't look right and it wasn't a natural swim by the zombie fish....But it's also a predator so it's instinct kicked in and caused it to act accordingly. Great video

Very cool idea and it’s obviously effective, but if you could somehow implement a darting action or speed it up every 10 seconds or so I think it would put that instinct in predator fish to attack in a timely fashion opposed to watching and waiting to attack. It’s almost like the pike are waiting for it to try to escape once they are a certain distance away

My first thought was, "Man, that is crazy, crazy ineffective." Then a pike actually fell for it. A live shiner would have caught all of those pike and a crankbait probably catches a few of them.
