I LOVE Clueless but they don't actually like doing good for others. They get their teachers together selfishly so that they can get better grades and they fix up the "clueless" character to make her just like them...which is shallow.

What I was getting at was that the video classified those particular things to be "acts of kindness" and they weren't. Of course, there's a moral to the story in the end, but that's not what the clip suggests.

But they had no moral obligation towards Tai and they did not really gain anything from making her fit into their circle and befriend her... It was really all for her. And she enjoyed it. So I count that one as an act of kindness as well. Have you ever been the new kid in School while you were a teen? Trust me, you appreciate when someone opens the door to a circle for you :)
Being welcoming is certainly a good thing, but I don't quite see it as that. When Tai gets brought in during the girls' sports' session, Cher and Dee look her up and down and judge her clothing, her hair and her make-up and say that she's totally "CLUELESS". They then get her into different clothes and style her to make her more like them. They even tell her she can't hang with the stoners even though that was clearly her group. Her and Travis hit it off INSTANTLY and they put her off him because he was a different social class. Don't get me wrong, I love this movie. I sometimes don't know why, but I do. Paul Rudd and good music helps. But the whole story is that Cher in particular goes from being a shallow, spoilt socialite to someone who starts to properly appreciate and care for others as well as notice and try to rectify her own flaws. Her and Dee were not do-gooders from the start which is what this seemed to be suggesting.
