I remember when this came around - very apt, and even more painfully true now after Partygate. The fact that it was his "illegal partying" at 10 Downing Street that finally ruined his reputation - even if he managed to cling on to power a few months more bc the war - feels like poetic justice: it was his chummy, fun-loving persona that got him up on the ladders of power in the first place.
It's fairly obvious that he did lie to the Queen about his reasons for prorogating parliament and that he just wanted them pushed out of the room while he would try to land a deal with the EU. Elizabeth probably knew all along that he was lying to her and to the people, but what could she do? It hasn't happened for three centuries that an English monarch has told their prime minister: "you're a liar and I refuse to be a part of this, instead I'm going to tell the nation that you're a lying son of a b**ch, and then kick you out of Downing Street!". The whole system is based on the presupposition that such a conflict can never happen.

It is so ridiculous that he was never fully held accountable for asking the Queen to illegally shut down Parliament just so he could have power without scrutiny he’s basically a fascist. Luckily the Supreme Court stopped him and let Parliament come back but boy the first day back was a mess The attorney general even said that Parliament was a disgrace.
Luckily we have a supreme court that overrides what this buffoon does.

And what Brexit precisely did you vote for? Because nobody was told in 2016 that anything other than "the best deal in history" was on offer. Where's that, then?
I'm pretty sure that most of the UK wants a deal with Brexit, including me. Besides, even if there is a deal we'll only have to wait up until March. Scotland also wants to declare independence and join the EU but the government isn't interested in that. From what I'm aware, at least, is that most people don't want a no deal Brexit because it'll destroy trade routes with the EU. As well as that, in the event of a no deal Brexit, British pensioners in the rest of the EU (180 000 people) would lose their health care rights 6 months after Brexit. Boris is already kind of a dick so I wouldn't do that to them if I were him. Sure, I want this Brexit thing to be done too but 5 extra months to wait isn't much anyway
@@Ricky911_ what ever May's deal wasn't leaving the customs union. Wto terms is what "hard brexit" is. We should still trade with the eu, just not chained to their restrictions.
