Pete Rose is everything the Hall of Fame represents and the HOF needs to recognize the player. A great master of the game who contributed to baseball. Lift the ban, pardon the man and honor the man for his great success as a player and not his failures. His success should not be overshadowed by his mistakes. Pete Rose paid his dues and respectfully deserves the HOF.

@@GooseGumlizzard And for what reason do you think Pete Rose should not be in the hall of fame? His record will never be brokand the person that can break it hasn't even been born yet because these players today they retire at age and 30.
Pete deserves to be in the hall of fame.

    • @tjrousey
      @tjrousey 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@manofiske3318 I will say this. There is no player today that can break his record because they all are soft and retire at the age of third, the man did a lot on the field. He deserves to be in the hall of fame without any problems. He didn't use steroids. He didn't use no enhancements. He just did one thing that everybody in baseball does. And did back in the old days

Never bet on baseball as a player only as a manager. So don't let him manage another team but put him in the Hall of Fame as a player. He was already retired, betting did nothing to the integrity of him as a player. He should still be one of the faces of MLB. It's a shame how he's lost so many years of baseball when he's given his life to the game

25th Anniversary 'Life in Exile' PETE ROSE to the HALL of FAME
Oh ya! How much is one single baseball card worth today
      Patrick Bateman
Put him in the damn hall of fame. He only has the most hits of all time.
      5 Star landscapes
One of the greatest baseball players and coaches of all times definitely needs to be in the Hall of Fame regardless of what happened in the past.
      Brain Dead Liberal
THIS MAN SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME!!
Reply: See just 'everyone' thinks is he should be placed outside the Hall of Shame
And be all-inducted into the very right he has really is not only a star but as legend
As who has made it this long to have to wait for what he was as he is as also then
All of history names other names of baseball and soccer and all those other games
Hardly ever played anymore once the filthy Las Vegas style casinos took everything
Which are not only wickednesses every paradise but shouldn't exist in realities even
In that prostitutes and drugs can take a community into the throes of keen 'wisdoms'
And come think of it how many types of trysts do other players commit to reinstating
Them even after much more serious sprees of various forms of other types of crime
In that white collars may bet but at least what to whom did it really actually hurt then
How they have mixed sports with politics to where to be a real member to realism$$
That not one of those other sport fields means any amount save if a card bring$ $$$
Now where is the address so I may write to Mr. Rose and send him a ball as to sign
s Thank you Mr. Rose for appearing on this program as were thought of a long time

My personal story of Pete Rose: As a youngster growing up in the Houston area, we would go to see our hometown Astros play countless times. My mother had been born in Cincinnati and attended the same High school as Pete and all her family still lived their. We would often go to Cincy to old Crosley Field and than Riverfront Stadium including the 1970 All-Star game. On a hot muggy Houston night after the game I went chasing autographs as I usually did. That night we had gone to see the Reds and I was very familiar with the visiting teams ramp and could smell the diesel from the bus and knew they were ready to pull out. It was the summer of 1970 and the busses they rode still had the old style windows that had the latches that slid up and down. I approached the bus and saw the young Johnny Bench who was new to the Bigs. I yelled "Hey Mr. Bench, would you sign your card?". He just looked at me and said there was no time and slid his window up. I had failed to notice in the window seat directly behind his was Pete. Pete's window slid down and Pete said, "Hey kid, I will sign your program, so he held his hand out of the bus and I timidly handed it to him. He handed it back and I was an ecstatic 12 year old kid. He did not have to do that but he did. And that muggy night in the Astrodome parking lot with the smell of diesel fumes filling the air, PETE ROSE BECAME MY BASEBALL HERO. I know he did wrong, and I know for 14 years he lied about it. But he did not beat his wife or children or shoot steroids. He did nothing to change MLB"s statistics. He excised very bad judgement. I hope the new MLB Commissioner will reinstate Pete. Charlie Hustle played baseball like no-one before or after him. It is time for our all-time hits leader to take his rightful place in the hall. MLB is a better game with Pete Rose in it. He is now 73 years old and been banned from baseball for 25 years. Mr Commissioner, show some compassion and reinstate Pete Rose. Just the wishes of a lifetime, now 60 year old fan.

A whole era of baseball was partially tainted because the league office let guys like Canseco, McGuire, and Bonds play the game on steroids when they should have been getting tested. The league finally decided to do something about it because it was getting ridiculous and there was a backlash because fans did not want to be treated like fools. Why was no one getting tested for steroids in 1990? It is not like testing for doping was a foreign concept. Since Rose's betting wasn't profitable to the sport the way the home run race of 1998 and 2001 were, the league is going to be stern against Rose. I really wish he would have admitted his mistake immediately and weathered the storm and he probably would be back in the MLB and in the HOF. It is sad when you see cheaters in every sport getting praised by their league but Rose is still an outcast.

"Why bet on baseball?" Because you will be hard pressed to find anyone who can quote stats from the 1960's to date like Pete Rose. He knew baseball.
He can reliably tell you who will do what, who will win, who will fight and who will roll over.
No one lives baseball like Pete Rose.

So many with the roids stigma are left out of the hof. Pete just kept lying. People dont understand gambling. If the manager of a baseball team bets one day and not the other, thats a huge tell on the books. He controls starting pitchers, lineups and the bullpen. Thats the definition of controling the outcome, even if you dont bet against your team.
