Wow that is an amazing piece of tech! Helicopters are probably the hardest to fly even in video games so being able to fly like that out of the box is very impressive. I've never considered an RC heli since I knew it would be instant scrap but this one is exceptional.

What have you been doing today Grandma. Ohh just flying my chopper 🧐😆. Having gps and sensors is great but the flight time is a no go for me. It looks like you could get a larger battery in it but that would only add a couple minutes.
    Thanks Captain

    That was really impressive Steve!
The FW200 RC Helicopter by Flywing is amazing!
It costs a bit less than 500 dollars which is neither too cheap nor too expensive for a product like this.
It flies beautifully and is really stable with that GPS system altitide hold!
Wind resistance is so good as well as the Acrobatics of the Helicopter surprised by too much as I didn't really knew that RC helicopters can fly in that Nightmarish way! Lol
The Controller looks really good and high tech and is rechargable which is another pro point.
20 mins flight time on one 850 mAh battery is too much!
I like the fact that it also has precise GPS RTH just like those professional Camera drone!
Also the optical flow sensors are cool!
Well, I didn't knew that it weighs that much, 356 grams as I expected it to be lighter!
That means it is going to be a powerful stable flier even in some windy conditions!
Overall, I liked it very much and it is definitely the RC Helicopter to start flying with!

There is a reason people don't fly helicopters FPV... the reason is that helicopters are scary and unbalanced. However, when a helicopter has a built in GPS for stability, you probably could add an FPV unit to it.

Capt Drone, Will any battery or most batteries fit in any drone? for instance; a 7.4v battery from 1 drone into any other drone that has a 7.4v battery? same with 3.4v to another of the same type & so on.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Nope... All batteries in the Helicopter and FPV Drone and RC Plane hobby are of a different shape and size to fit the various products. This is why if you buy batteries on AMAZON, you first search by how many cells you want (2 cell, 3 cell, 4 cell, 6 cell) and then the mAh (450 mAh, 850 mAh, 1000 mAh, etc), then the connector type. When you find the list of batteries that match what you want, you then look at the shown dimensions of all the results and find the one that fits your needs.

FPV drone comparision to 3d heli is literally apples and oranges. Started with 3d heli 15 years ago, went to drones after scoffing at them about 10 years ago (p2 sold me back then with cinematography) and back into 3d helis. There's mountains more you have to think about with flying heli, and you need to learn at least 4 new orientations, not that orientation is much of a consideration with fpv drone, so really you've got to learn 7 more, but I know you know your right side up orientations). Keep practicing! I'm not sure I would recommend this heli, it will be too easy, even encouraging, to develop bad habits. If you're just using it to practice right side up orientation and doing circuits, you could accomplish the same effect with any GPS quad out there and still learn the same bad habits.

Thanks Captain, another "fun" flight option and informative review; just an observation, pretty pricy (you can buy a Mini 2 for the same money1) for essentially a limited RC Copter (no Camera also) however I am sure it will have appeal to some!!!!!

its completely different to a drone, which may fly longer. There are 700 sized competition Helicopters which cost 2-3k dollars but depending on how the pilos flys, the battery will only last about 2 minutes

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798

Sounds like you were a beginner helicopter pilot. It drifted because it did not have a GPS Lock or someone accidently took it out of GPS mode. A few of the guys at my field have those and they are all new helicopter pilots. One guy accidently put his in 3D mode and crashed it. As a new helicopter pilot, you can always expect things to go wrong just due to inexperience in not knowing what to do in any scenario. Finally, in CHINA there is no such thing as a Warranty for such events, so I'm not sure what they can do for you. Banggood can't do anything because the Helicopter is made by OMP HOBBY.
