      Hi Captain Drone. So I think I've watched on your videos on the FWL450 V3. So much so I bought one and it just arrived. Looking forward to getting it up to the field this weekend, weather permitting as I'm in Ireland, rain and more rain.
      Might I ask is it ready to fly out of the box? Will it go inverted it I go 30 ft + etc. on the flick of a switch like in the videos or do I need to programme it?
      Also I noticed the batteries I got were BT5000-74 with 5000 mAh and with the charger supplied its taking 8 hours just to get up to 75% charged. Am I doing something wrong here, please be patient I'm a newbie and still learning and looking forward to your next review.
      Kr,
      Marc.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@marctron100 Out of the box, it flies in GPS and Manual mode, but not inverted. After you have flown it for awhile, you can attach the USB cable to the flight controller and then in the software (you download from FLY WING) you can enable inverted mode. The reason your charge is taking so long is because for the price, you certainly do not get an RC Hobby charger. People in the RC hobby that run RC Cars, Boats, Planes, FPV Drones, Helicopters all own one or more RC Chargers. If you wish to charge up a battery in under an hour you'll need one (I've reviewed plenty), but make sure you understand how to use one (I have a video on how to do just that).

Hey check out Alishanmao's you tube channel, he just did a review on this V3, apparently you can do tick tocks and all kind of 3D moves while in GPS mode, and aslo he said you can use 6 cell battery but be careful the ESC's and motors might heat up a bit. The one listed at $499 should be the RTF. It should tell you what it comes with.... You should get the Heli, Remote (also called a Transmitter or Radio), Battery.

      Yikes! You are missing the very obvious deal. If you click on the KICK STARTER link I posted, you can PRE-ORDER the helicopter for $499. If you wait until it is in stores then the price will be $799.

      @CAPTAINDRONE798 well in my experience quick release any thing is often a bad thing if your referring to the tail boom I agree and mine has the lever like yours I was fully expecting the thumb screw but mine was a newer version 2.5 maybe I love mine it truly is a fun flyer It would seem the 3d nitro and electric heli pilots don't like thees much case in point Kevin Talbert

If you wait until these are in stock (early March) then the price is $799. Simply follow the link below the video and do the Kickstarter pre-order thing (look down right had side).

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if you buy now (only 100 available for $499), you get it when it ships next month. It is not in stores yet, so stores like RC Going have no stock, but they will be one of the first stores to receive it. Of course the $499 pre-order price will not exist and the $799 price will replace it.

      I only did a compass calibration and updated the firmware once with one of the models from FLY WING (not this one, but they are all the same). It is all very easy via software and there are tons of videos out to walk you through, all available on the FLYWING website.

    • @theflyinggrip
      @theflyinggrip ปีที่แล้ว

      I know it gets old hearing, but if you want to learn heli’s do it on a sim (Realflight, phoenix?) When you want to get into the air, look at the blade line from eflite…they offer many different models in price, size, and skill level all intended to get you in the air and help you learn to stay there. They offer normalized controls, easily available spare parts at most decent local and online hobby shops. A all around better experience and product than what is in this review. Happy flying…cheers!

      I'd recommend an omphobby m1 for a beginner. Even though this has GPS and lots of goodies, its really big and dangerous. Too many regulations on top for heavy UAVs. If you crash, it means lots of time fixing and very expensive. Just Trust me on the omphobby m1. Wish I'd have started with this years ago

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ray, yes it is super simple to fly due to the GPS tuning. If you have no skills other than flying a GPS drone like that from DJI, Autel or Hubsan, then this would be simple to fly. All beginners should always fly with the TAIL facing them and the NOSE pointing away so that the orientation of the joysticks is not confusing. When you get lost, just hit Return To Home and the Heli comes back to land. Now if you switch it to 3D Manual Mode, you will crash it because you need more of an FPV Drone background to fly in that mode so that your hand/eye coordination is top notch.

  • @AGEGaming1

    Off topic but what FPV quad can I buy from GepRC that will work with the controller and goggles from the tinygo 4k ready to fly kit?

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For GOGGLES you could purchase any ANALOG FPV drone. For the controller, you are out of luck... nothing is compatible.

    How long does the battery last?
    Is there a reading on how long battery life is lasting or if it’s going down?
    I have this same model and some times it will start rising when the battery is low.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Your battery would last several years under normal use. As long as you don’t leave it fully charged for a month and not used (that is what shortens the life of lipo batteries).
