I nearly lost it at the beginning. The came the finale. Not sure if I've totally recovered. ( I mean I was welling up abit already from previous recent videos!!) I will be 66 in April and a state pensioner after retiring aged 57. Married 3 times and happily married to wife number 3 for 27 years. What life has taught me is that everyday is a gift and to take nothing for granted. I have friends and ex girlfriends who are now dead. My first true love who I went out with for 18 months died last year aged just 60 from a terrible disease that killed her in under a year after confining her to a wheelchair.
Most of my friends now have illnesses and are on medication or are waiting for operations. I have a friend who needs a kidney and liver transplant and another friend with aggressive bone cancer aged just 50. Their prospects are not good.
Do today what you can do tomorrow. Live that dream now because tomorrow will always bring tears. Most importantly life will speed up, as you both get older. For me I am starting to wonder how many good years are left. Thoughts I never had only a few years ago. Life for me is a joy so my mission is to acknowledge the good times so I have memories when those times are over.
