I think the difference between the 2 is that dark is constantly trying to hit clips while zen uses his mechanics in a more efficient way rather then flashy( not saying dark isn’t efficient)
I feel like he and also Nwpo are on a different level. Dark as we can see in the vid speaks for itself; he uses his mechs to do what other prostitutie cant do. Nwpo on the other hand uses his mechs to do what other pros do but on a higher pase. I would argue that in the "who has the best mechs" does to are at the top (and maybe Joyo also, the ampunt of clips he puts in rlcs matches js insane)

I've never been impressed by Zen in ways other players have impressed me (in any aspect of the game btw, I just feel like he's overrated largely by French/European ppl every time I watch him), buuuut I'm open to having my mind changed
Hell, they're just revolutionizing high level/pro RL in general. aZapatos is popularizing a mechanic I thought was underutilized for a long time, but I didn't see pogos coming at all lmao. I definitely underrated how viable they are

Sure, it’s impressive to nail mechanics so well you can do them in a private match with unlimited boost and no ball pressure, but it’s just not *as* impressive anymore. People are basically doing unlimited air dribbles and resets nowadays. Hell, Dark looks like he himself can do that in private matches if he wants with how well he’s nailed resets and reads - ie: he’s more then capable of being a top freestyler like everyone else. But if you can consistently do triple resets with stalls, flips and backflips with limited boost, pogo’s with ssl ball pressure on you at the highest level and make it a very viable scoring option, that’s far more impressive to me.

The first couple minutes of game 1 is easily the highest peak I've ever seen in 1s, the creativity and unique shot approaches he shows are simply unbelievable at times
MORE DARK. I love watching this stuff. It's extremely entertaining, there's so many awesome 1v1 players popping out of nowhere. This is a legendary era to be a fan of 1v1s.
I've been playing this game since 2015. I've been mostly in the loop with the pro scene and the talent on top. Dark is worlds above the next best solo offensive player in terms of skill set at his disposal and efficiency at carrying them out. I can't remember if I have ever been even as remotely as excited to start following anyone like I am with Dark.
People hype him too much. Yes he's incredible but he really tried to go for clips. There are many players that can hit these shots and also regularly. He looks like a freestyler in 1s. Tho I'm sure he needs to play different really soon because players will adapt. So I'm curious if he can still be the player to watch.
Neck breaking pace of gameplay, perfect shots, setups that seem impossible. This is exactly what I love to see from Johnny's channel. Just gameplay at an atmospheric level
These guys are just playing a different game than I am, I don't get how fast they can make so many micro adjustments to their cars while being so accurate at the same time

While the obvious prowess of attacks and game sense is great, it’s really that ability to read, react, to change your approach and have answers for what your opponent is doing that makes him look really really good I see a lot of players just sort of shut down when the opponent counters Also looking forward to seeing this more thorough approach to setting up things in the game-too often players just shoot over and over and don’t sort of design the game to their will for the future-but it looks like in his mind he has a good sense of getting those really high % shot setups and that’s what he’s looking for above simply “playing a simple old 1v1”

This scares me. I was a close to leaderboard player pre-SSL rank addition, stopped playing for 2 years, come back and suddenly everybody is flast flipping, using air roll binds and hitting every flip reset even in my lowly GC2 lobbies. Now this is possible! Makes me feel so old xD incredible entertainment though, what a player.
I can say with confidence he’s the best chain resetter itw and it ain’t even close, the pogos are extremely creative but I can see a lot of top mechanical players implement it into their game very naturally but his mechanics are still next level especially those nutty chain resets idk how he does it
The most impressive thing about dark is his ability to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. His ability to make last second decisions like to pogo and ping top right or to hold on to his flip and strike the bottom corner. This man always keeps his opponents guessing…. he can change the direction and the momentum of the ball so quickly. Don’t get me started on his speed mechanics

Sure would like to see him go up against an in form Daniel, Firstkiller or TRK. Someone like that with world class defense. I just dont see that type of play being consistently viable throughout a series against players like that. I could be wrong but I do know that catching someone off guard in a ranked game and beating the best players in the world in a series are 2 totally different things. Especially in a tournament setting, which brings out the best even more than a show match. People are going to start catching on to what he wants to do.

I guess a lot has to do with control setup and also the controller you are usinf ans then of course hyperactove and flexible little kid hands
