It’s amazing how much places change between the 1500 range and 2000 range! Unfortunately 1500 was my upper limit (ended up going to 1550) He’s done well!

the 2050$ is misleading. It is around 2600$ now for 1 bedroom in the same building.
Yeah, he probably still pays 2050$ due to he rent at the lowest price during Covid and BC's renting increasing policy(no more than 2% increasing year to year).
Vancouver is expensive and the lowest afforddable city in north america.

hey Adam, great video!!! Question: when the CRA says there's an allowance of 1 overlapping year for primary residence exemption in Canada, do they mean from the date the overlap plus 365 days? I'm curious to know if I were to close on a new property in say April 1st 2022, when will be the last day I should sell the existing primary residence in order to avoid capital gains taxes on the sale?
I truly would answer this if I could, but I can't say I know the answer ://

It’s not just a Canadian thing, it’s possible in other countries. And I’ve not heard of anyone else doing it Canada, though I did look it up recently as I don’t plan to be in my current unit for very long.
