Adam, you're amazing. The average rental price for a one-bedroom apartment in Vancouver is around C$2,000, and the vacancy rate is low, making it difficult to find an apartment. You have shown us what living conditions are at different prices, which is really helpful.
I watched this video before looking at the view count. How does this not have like a million views?? This is quality content. A move to Vancouver may be in my future so I really appreciated this video. New sub here 👍
I really like your style, Adam. Your videos made me consider moving to Canada. I’m in Thailand and its quite far but I haven’t seen a country that is so nice and so welcoming.
Adam! I love your videos! :) your videos are so underrated and the content you provide is so valuable to me!! I love seeing content about Vancouver bc I happen to live there! 😂👍 Looking to move out of my parents home soon so this video was really helpful :)
Hey Adam, i've been watching your videos and subscribed to your channel. i just arrived in Vancouver and currently in quarantine in Richmond. I find your videos helpful on my search for apartments.
Such a great video. Its interesting to see what you can get for that price. I think where I love finding something below 2000 for a 2 bed is unheard of. And I don’t live in Toronto lol. Awesome video as always.
The only thing dated is that fireplace BUT if art deco is your thing, and pastels, then its a good vibe. Everything else about the place is perfect. Thats still close to 7k every two months, which is a lot to throw away.
Thanks for the informative video! Great content! Could you guys also make a video on how to hunt for an apartment in Vancouver? There are a few websites but listings don’t seem reliable and/or is not descriptive enough. Would be helpful for people who are planning to move. Thanks!
Wow! Not sure why I watched this as I definitely won't be able to afford either of these when I move to BC...but maybe could help motivate me to aspire towards working at a higher salary if apartments like both of yours is the result 🤑
So glad I found this channel while searching for “Vancouver everything you need to know” I currently live in Toronto, Ontario but I’m wanting to visit in the summer time by train to see a friend so a lot of your videos are helpful thank you a lot I’ve subscribed 🖤
Thank you for the video, really interesting! As a person who is planning to move to Vancouver, I'm wondering in terms of neighbourhood what are pros and cons Downtown vs Kitsilano?
Great video Adam!! And wonderful chanel btw 👏🏻. Jus a little question, are those numbers Canadian or US dollars? Thanks for sharing this information dude, you rock!!
Adam and Harmonie, in your experts opinion, what kind of Apartment (size, price, location) can I expect if I move to Van with my family ? (My wife, 2 young girls and 2 young boys). Thanks
Again a very good Vancouver video. I really like kitsilano area. I am coming to Langara for my post degree. Do you think daily commute to college is possible if I have a bicycle? Please advise.
Thanks Sreemanto, appreciate it! I would say it is probably a 25-40 minute bike ride depending on where you live in Kitsilano. For me that is quite a ride to do every day, but not too bad if you find one close enough to the school!
@@sreemantokesh3999 how did you eventually solve this? I'm thinking of applying to langara too but the cost of living around the school is making me have second thoughts
The first video uploaded on my channel shows some bedrroms that you can rent in 2 bedroom places (so they are cheaper) and also I have a 1 bedroom apartment tour in downtown vancouver titled "What $2200 gets you in Vancouver" - but I don't have any direct comparisons between the 2 locations for 1 bedroom places.
The bottom line is this: you will need an income of at least 100k a yr to afford the 2200 a month place. Vancouver will never be affordable for the average income earner.
It is expensive, but in my opinion for living downtown it's pretty good. For sure being downtown adds to the rent, but also it's bright and spacious too + ammenities !! :)
@@aubreyjames8795 I was actually talking about Vancouver in general. I'm from Europe and you would get an even better place for less of what she's paying
YESSS!! 2 of my favorite Vancouver content creators!!! if only we could get DownieLive in the mix??? would be the perfect Vancouver trifecta! This was an awesome collab 👌
She's paying 140% of my monthly income on rent every month. lol Tell me more about how there's no cost of living crisis! Serious question: what do working-class people do in her market? Sleep five to a room? Or am I supposed to honestly believe that only professionals live there? What we've allowed to happen in this country is perverse.
So fun! had a great time hanging out as always my dude 👏🏼 Nice work on the edit, loved your apt tour, i loled when the blinds came down
Was a ton of fun! and we'll have to do another vid down the road! hahah I've fixed the blinds now 😅

It is certainly something to think about!! I'm sure you wouldn't be dissapointed!
I LOVE that I messaged you both about this, and guess what, this was your next video! Can't wait to see you both in Van City!

Wow! I didn´t expect her appartment to be that pretty. That light! But I never wanted to live downtown, prefer Kits. Thanks for this great video!

In terms of selling price, what would be the price for the condos you showed in Kitsilano vs. Downtown?

By watching Imagine my self @ Vancouver someday❤️hoping🙏❤️❤️
This is so helpful for someone moving from another country like myself to Vancouver! But how in the heck did you find this place? Craigslist?
what's inside that door?
Why wouldn't you use that patio?! It's awesome
Where is Harmonie's video?
How much are fees for electricity, hydro, etc?
which building is this?
is there any of your channel reviewing a single bed room? downtown vs uptown

How much sq ft is 3300?
Still 3300 in Dec 2022?
"There's nothing in here but you don't know that."
Me : *Are you sure about that?*
Harmonie's place looks so nice, but the amount of rent is something else. I guess at the end of the day you're mostly paying for the location
It is expensive, but in my opinion for living downtown it's pretty good. For sure being downtown adds to the rent, but also it's bright and spacious too + ammenities !! :)
Right but it's the same location you can easily bike or drive to. I don't see the benefits.

$2,200 for 1,000sqft, 2bdrm, 1bath. But how many sqft was the $3,300?
