    4. While we’re on the subject, I’ve never liked the concept of leaders being chosen just because they are the “eldest”. The person in charge should be the best suited, not just who was born first.
    Ex: People immediately looked to Ruka as being the potential leader for BABYMONSTER during pre debut just because she is the eldest, but then they slowly realized Rora (someone a part of the maknae line) was actually more fitting and acted surprised that it was a possibility just because “she’s a baby”
    The maknae treatment is dumb

      It's cuz of the "respect the senior" culture that's so ingrained in their everyday life. Aside from having bosses and managers (with regards to co workers ) if you're not born in the same year, the others are a dongsaeng or noona/unnie/oppa/hyung to you. They could also be a seonbae or hoobae to you.

    This is my hot take, TWICE's music hasn't been "bad" or even "disappointing." I think JYP has them releasing so much that it's leading to overexposure, and each release is getting eaten up by the other and eras are clashing. I think With You-th would've come off a whole lot more mature if the era hadn't started 3 months after the Ready to Be era ended, alongside Jihyo's solo era happening. They're being overworked, and they're veteran acts who don't need to release music 24/7. Not every release needs to be groundbreaking, but they should at least stand out from the other.

    people are being so hypocritical when it comes to source music taking legal action against harassment. when it’s wonyoung/starship it’s iconic, when it’s MHJ and new jeans it’s protecting the artists but as soon as it’s a group you dislike it’s ‘childish’ and ‘unfair’ like what 😭😭

    1. Am glad SoMu is doing something for the girls, I hope that something includes vocal lessons and a little course about acting humble and owning their mistakes. I still claim this would have not scalated that much if the members acted more humble about their skills and the initial critiques about their Coachella stage.
    6. Wonyoung is the perfect example that an idol do not need to be a vocal powerhouse, she is good enough for her group music and to perform live. There are better vocalist out there, yes, but she is good enough and had keep improving since her debut with IVE in all aspects.

    • @ahuman3064
      @ahuman3064 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      People really dont need to go deep to learn that Wonyong is a great idol, she's confident and charismatic, but never arrogant. She's never upset on screen, never rude, never complaining. The "cringey" things she does are all to cater to her audience and advertisers. She dances well, sings well and is entertaining. She doesn't let the mean comments get to her, but takes the criticism in and improves herself silently. She also knows very well the difference between hate and slander, which is why she sued that TH-cam channel that was spreading lies about her while never replying to the childish hate she faces everyday- she doesnt pick any fight! She's a good, hardworking girl who is perfectly media trained and very well advised by the people around her. I'm very glad Starship, though a terrible company overall, at least aknowlegdes and makes an effort to protect her and I wish more people took her as an example of how to navigate this tough industry gracefully

    1. It really shows that nobody has learned anything about giving hate and what it can do to someone. Like I’ve heard a lot about some idols taking their lives due to the hate they get and this could easily be the same for the Le Sserafim members. I find it weird that people think idols from western countries should “know better” when it comes to cultural appropriation and use of slurs. EVERYONE should know better. Yeah, people in western countries tend to discuss the issue way more openly, but it’s not like Koreans have never heard of racial issues before in their lives. Especially as idols, it’s really important to be aware of such basic social issues.

    • @FifthGate

    1.the action by source Music 👏It's time for the delulu train that every trifling, pushing, instigating, paranoically disturbed "fAnS" has been onto to be brought BACK into the station. time they get a dose of how artists handle shit in the west.
    4. the day the kpop scene balances infantilization and youth will be the day many drawn to the industry...will just explode. ooops
    5. k netzines being confused about what actual "star" level performance looks like news flash, the most successful musicians who continue to sell out stadiums don't listen to non musicians saying "over performer" "does to much".
    7. weird vibe indeed. fans treat foreign idols like there the "in" into that k group while not extending the same courtesies and respect for boundary's that they extend to the k members. and people wonder why foreign idols are "rude? always sassy" like no, they just understand your weird, creepy, obsessive ass behavior that there k members were taught to just "let go" and were raised not to take the same.🙂🙃

    I hate Trump but American politics is more than one man’s lack of a moral compass. People vote on issues. People who oppose illegal immigration, abortion and big government couldn’t care less if Trump is a criminal. As much as I love your distaste for Trump, the comparison is as apples and oranges as can be. Kpop is entertainment. American politics on the other hand, has a profound effect on the livelihood of every day people

    Thanks for the video. N°6: I don't get the idea. What's overperforming? A game? The word OVER gives us the meaning. The rest is unnecessary. We're talking about groups. Be careful. Overperforming means that the others are underperforming. And it isn't true. I find it disgusting when idols overperform, just to get more screen time or more views in fancams.

    I also am getting tired of repetitive concepts in kpop. I am getting sick of those same cafe shop scenes or those flowers room scenes. I want to see smth different like a futuristic concept wave and trend in Kpop. Like a TRON Grid, Cyberpunk and Cybernetics type concept.
