    I started out using a string trainer first before actually shooting my bow with it and I love the Verge. It's helped improve my accuracy when I switch back to a regular index release, which is the Scott Wildcat 2.

    Man am I glad you did this review! I currently shoot a Scott lil mongoose wrist release, I have tried thumb releases and don’t care for them. I shoot them fine with my old Darton DS 3800, but my VXR28 don’t like it at all. I want to make the switch to back tension and was considering this release to start. Saved me money from half way around the world!!

    I just got a new Tru Ball execution and my first instinct she. I tried it was that it sucked, and it triggered all kinds of target panic. Got used to it within hours and I'm loving it. The brain is a funny thing.

    I just got mine and used for first time today. The anti torque swivel is really nice but is the hook supposed to auto return because mine is not and I have to press it with my thumb to get it to go back into position to pull another arrow back. Mine also does not click at all. Just feels like a really nice index style strap release that torques less.

    Did you read the directions Steve ? It's meant to shoot with both fingers as a back tension. Boys typically don't read directions I had the same experience until I read the directions.

  • @urbanarcher3535

    I think the clicker can be removed from that release. Also you just draw the bow like it’s an index release and then pull through with back tension

  • @thecadman99
    @thecadman99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This might be nice for Target shooters with finger/wrist issues. I think if you set it up without the click and adjusted it closer to you fingers so you could hold it similar to a conventional hinge.

    Leave your index finger out of it . Pull with Middle and third finger are your trigger fingers. Leave your index finger on the outside of the release.

    Guessing its a newer version of the longhorn hex, def takes getting used to. Always fun to watch you shoot with a click :)

    I would love to try this release. I currently shoot my standard index release with my middle finger.
    This looks amazing to me. I also have a standard hinge style back tension, but do not like holding the entire weight of the bow on my hand/fingers.
    This would give the best of both worlds! wrist strap to draw and hold weight.
    would draw w/ index finger inside, and middle, ring outside behind the trigger, pinching the neck between fingers as I draw, just as I currently do. Then rotate hand and anchor similar to a back tension release while putting middle/ring finger on the trigger like you would your hinge release.
    with click in, squeeze the trigger to the click. once clicked, execute the shot w/ back tension, trying to pull through the strap, not squeezing fingers.
    without the click, you would execute your shot by pulling back tension through the strap, causing fingers/hand to rotate similar to a hinge, not squeezing the trigger like a shotgun

    Wrap your thumb and index finger BEHIND the trigger when you draw. it will keep you from sending an arrow across town 😮😮😮

    You're being a real bum right now wrap your fingers around the strap pull it back anchor bring the fingers up over the trigger hook your fingers around it roll to the click and then continue to pull with the back

    • @joshuabates4759
      @joshuabates4759 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale When I shoot a hinge w/ a click, I will pull to full draw, get set, and aim, Rotate hand through to the click, then execute the shot with back tension pull, not hand rotation.
