This is the best description I've seen for this task.
Configure WDS on second router and disable DHCP and the second router will work as a repeater. Doing so, there will be no need to connect both the routers via LAN Cable.
@Ho Ho Ho Is a router used to expand wifi field. The repeater repeat packets, both coming from main router as coming from clients.
WDS if they can "see each other" depending on the distance between them. Anyway, if you want to get full speed, always connect them via LAN cable.

If you do it like this you wil have two range ip's at home.. So you wil neve finder another device in a network if one is connect to router 2 an first device with router 1...don't do it like this..

Yes if you put ip router1 192.168.10.1 and ip router2 192.168.10.2 but you should connect to port lan in the router 2 not port modem

@@alfassi1988 The key is to understand IP as he said it is correct in the video because the are on each subnet x.x10 and x.x20 in Eng mohamed Al-Ahmad's example they are on the same subnet and therefore they have only one dhcp server in the video there will be two one for each lan with each 254 ip numbers to choose from. Answer must be no since it is two different setup's of the network.

you don't need to do this, all you have to do is to configure the 2nd router as a repeater.

And this video setup looses upnp features on router 2. If wiil connect via cable both routers, best configure router 2 on same network range and plug cable at lan port of router 2.

So double NAT on 2nd router and your devices are not on same broadcast subnet so won't see each other....yuk. Leave original router as 192.168.0.1. Turn 2nd router into simple switch/access point by setting its IP address to 192.168.0.2 , disable DHCP server on it and don't use the blue WAN port on 2nd router.

i have this xiaomi router..you just sign in your mi account and set ssid and pass..plug and play..i was wondering why the dhcp was enabled but it was working just fine..

@@leonuneza2012 His setup is trash, because he's got two dhcps in two completely different ranges, you for example wouldn't be able to reach a NAS connected to router1 when you're on router2. It's much better to do as MrScracha says, I got it set like that with 3 routers (technically only APs) at home.

you don't need to wire for connecting between 2 wifi router directly. its possible to connect 2 wifi router without LAN and WAN Connect from wire, that's called repeater.

This is way too much work, I used a more creative solution. I have my main router (FBI surveillance Van 42) connected to two secondary routers (FBI surveillance Van 171 and FBI supervisor 9) using power line adapters. I set the network names and passwords from my main computer before moving to 171 to the master bedroom and supervisor 9 in my wife's upstairs office. Easy peasy. I used three PLAs and two 6 foot cat 5 cables. Done.
